Cyberpunk 2077 Judy Alvarez Romance Guide

This guide shows how to romance Judy Alvarez in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77) and start a relationship with her. Judy is a girl you meet during the story. She will appear in several main quests and then have to do her 5 Side Quests afterward. She can be romanced and seduced during her final side quest which leads to a sex scene if you do everything right. The romance will have you take Judy on a deep-water dive and then having a sex scene with her in a cabin. The Judy Romance is only available when playing a Female character (Female Voice + Female Body Type).

Important: Judy is Lesbian. She can only be romanced when playing as a female Character (Female Voice & Female Body Type). This Romance is unavailable for Males! As a Male you can still play her quests but she will block your romantic attempts.

Simply put: when she calls you always accept her requests right away, be supportive and friendly with her, don’t accept money from her when she offers it, pick all the “physical” dialogues to get closer to her (like kissing her).

Below are all missions and dialogues in chronological order that lead to the Judy Romance. Some of these likely have no impact but this is what has been tested and confirmed to work. If you follow these choices exactly then you will get Judy’s Sex Scene at the end.

Side Job – Both Sides, Now

  • This is Judy’s first Side Quest. It unlocks automatically over the course of the story (after Main Job “Double Life” wait 24 hours and Judy will call you). Then it gets added to your quest log.
  • Finish this quest, your choices here don’t matter for the romance.

Side Job – Ex-Factor

  • A few days after the previous quest you will get a text message from Judy on your phone called “EV’s Send Off”. Reply to it and wait for Judy to call you back after a few hours. Then choose “Yeah, I’ll help” to start the quest. If you decline by accident you can still call her back to start the quest later (but it’s recommended to accept it right away as that’s what has been tested and confirmed to work for the romance).
  • Finish this quest, your choices here don’t matter for the romance.

Side Job – Talkin’ ‘Bout A Revolution

  • A few days after the previous quest you will get another text message from Judy that will trigger this quest. Then skip time by 24 hours and you will get a call from Judy. Play this quest.
  • After talking to the people at Judy’s apartment and sparring with Tom, choose “You can count on me.” –> this leads to the next side quest. If you decline by accident you will still get the quest (but it’s recommended to accept it right away as that’s what has been tested and confirmed to work for the romance).
  • In the next dialogue, Judy wants to pay for your help, choose “Out of the question” > “Forget about it. It’s passed” > “[Lean] Sure, thanks” –> this will make you spend the night on her couch and she will leave breakfast for you in the morning.

Side Job – Pisces

  • A few days after the previous quest, you will get another text message from Judy. Reply to her text message with anything. Advance time by a day and she will call you to start the quest.
  • When you reach the penthouse where the gang bosses are sitting, pick the following dialogues: “Let’s do this” > “Who are the other two?” > “Do my best. Jack ’em out” > “Hold on, think you’ve gone too far” > “[Draw Weapon] Let’s cut to the quick” > kill the gang bosses > “What?” > “You tried to cheat us all” > Kill Maiko –> this is very important for the romance! If you accept Maiko’s plan or her payment it will void your chance at a romance with Judy! The outcome you want is that the gang bosses attack you here.
  • Finish the mission. When talking to Judy it doesn’t matter if you say “I’m sorry” or “Wasn’t my fault”. Either way, she will be shocked but this is normal here and what you want. By not having accepted Maiko’s plan / payment you are now eligible to get Judy’s last quest.

Side Job – Pyramid Song

  • After about a week and after doing some other side activities, Judy will call you again which triggers this quest.
  • After arriving at the quest marker, Judy will want to go diving with you. Choose “Hell yeah, I’m in” (if you mess this up you can still call her later and say you changed your mind to continue)
  • Complete the diving trip with her. Whether you pick up the optional objectives (underwater items) during the dive doesn’t matter for the romance, they only unlock some extra dialogue.
    • Side note: If you play a male (which doesn’t work for the Romance), you can try to compliment Judy that she is looking fine in her wetsuit. She will be repulsed by this coming from a man. Also when she stops underwater before declining to the sunken village, you can swim behind her to look at her buttocks and she’ll get really mad and insult you.
  • After returning from the dive, you must accept Judy’s invite to spend the night at the cottage. Pick dialogue “[Stand] Why not.” –> this is very important for the romance! If you choose the other option “Bad idea, prolly” you will miss out on this romance.
  • When you’re with Judy in the bathroom, choose “[Sit] We’re still synced” > “[Touch] It is ours” to Kiss her –> this results in Judy’s sex scene

  • The next morning, Judy will be waiting by the pier. Talk to Judy at the pier and pick dialogue “the beginning of something amazing” –> this will start a relationship with Judy. You will unlock her apartment by doing this. If you tell her this was just a distraction she won’t enter into a relationship with you.

This concludes the Judy Romance Guide. By doing this she can also be called before deciding on the story ending during “Nocturne Op55N1”. Furthermore, you earn the Judy vs Night City trophy and achievement for having completed Judy’s questline.

  1. I’ve done up to Talkin’ Bout a Revolution but can’t get Pisces to trigger. I supported her and stayed overnight on the couch. Advanced over 9 days and still no text or call from her, called her too but no quest options. Do I have to finish any main quest first? I haven’t don’t Ghost Town, Down on the Street and M’ap Tann Pelen

    • Sorry, got it after driving a bit. Wanted to say that if you don’t kill Maiko, Judy will kiss you on the cheek. Choose the “Can’t be sure about that” option after “what?”

    • Interesting, I didn’t get that path. Doesn’t seem to matter for the romance but I’ll give it a try next playthrough. But how do you not kill Maiko there? I replayed the Penthouse a bunch of times and after killing the bosses and talking to Maiko she would always attack me no matter what follow-up dialogue I chose with her.

    • @Powerpyx You can use a non lethal weapon mod or other non lethal damage to incapacitate Maiko instead of killing her and Judy will be happy with you.

    • I still can’t get that mission to start i’ve waited many days and nothing i’ve driven all over the place

    • Finishing “Double Life” wasn’t sufficient for me to trigger Judy’s quests. I had to start “M’ap Tann Pelen” for her to initiate contact.

    • What helped me is go to your apartment, skip 25 hours ahead, walk out, save and then load in the save. Should get a text from her after a couple of minutes so you can chill a bit

  4. Done a couple of missions after Double Life, and still no call from Judy. In general, I’m having issues in waiting for people to call me. Skipping days does nothing, neither does driving around, skipping, driving, etc. I had to wait for 2-3 hours for Word on the Street to correctly trigger, as I just wasn’t getting the call.

    Anyone got any tips for if this gets stuck?

    • It should still trigger later at some point. Sometimes it takes a while. All the romance partners will also call you again after the story and ask for your help with their quests if you haven’t done them by then. Wouldn’t worry about it.

    • Thanks PP. It’s more an issue with the main story. “Play It Safe” won’t progress because Takemura won’t call me, and I had the same issue with “Word on the Street” for the longest time. I’ve skipped 10-15 times now in the latter case! I like the game a lot, but its such a stupid system of progressing quests. Think other people are also having similar problems based off various threads I’ve seen.

    • I remember having the same issue with Takemura, but that seems somewhat normal. Took ages for the call to trigger. I went and did all other active main quests (even the ones that said High Difficulty) and at some point he called.

  6. SO my guy is a dude in the game, i accidently found the wetsuit just exploring and put it on and now i cant take it off? anyone have any idea how i can take this stupid wetsuit off?

  7. When it says Female Voice + Female Body Parts by Female Body Parts does it mean both body-type and genitalia, body type alone, or genitals alone? Basically I’m wondering is Judy locked out for pre-op trans women?

    • You can do it just fine with Female Voice + Female Body and Male Genitalia. Just done it and got the romance.

    • Yeah it would probably be best if the guide says female body type and not body parts. “Body parts” can sound quite confusing and can make it seem like you would have no chance otherwise.

    • I think I did it correctly from this guide, my character is female body and genitals, but male voice. She went to sleep on the couch after the bathroom scene. Oh well.. 🙁

    • My bad, I did notice the warning, what I meant to say is just that it was a bummer, my character is awesome! Hopefully Panam is not going to require male body type and male voice (don’t tell me, I’ll find out lol)

    • No you can have pre op. Judy only cares about body type and voice being female. She doesn’t care what’s down below

  8. If you use a non lethal mod on your gun to take out Maiko she won’t get mad she just kisses you on the cheek and says thank you.

    • there are dialog options to beat this mission too without killing maiko that Judy is still ok with that ends up with the kiss saying thanks at the end, just did this part like 7 different ways until I got this one and is where I’ll be continuing from.

  9. I need help. In the mission double life i didn’t go Into judy’s apartment and i did some gigs now i can’t find my way back. the location or names of the surrounding areas would be much appreciated

  10. If I’ve done all of her quests and she gave me an access to her apartment, Are there any ways to contact or interact with her again?

    • You can call her but there’s nothing to say. Occasionally she will text you if you’re in a relationship.

    • Go to her apartment. There is a lean option that isnt there in text and opens a bit of new dialogue that is only available in person.

    • nope. my female V is dating Judy and River. No repurcussions! This aint Persona 3,4 and 5!

    • Yeah I’m curious to know as well, cause I wanna romance Panam but I don’t wanna play as a man. Wonder what’s the alternative ? hope female body and male voice would work? Since that’s the one that ultimately defines the gender.

  15. Is it just me or is there no actual usage of her apartment after you obtain it? Can’t sleep there or use stash or anything. Can talk to my ladylove every once in a while, but that’s about it.

    • What’s also disappointing is that when you do talk to said ladylove, they only give you a couple more dialogue options, that’s it. Very disappointing in my opinion, ugh.

    • On my playthrough I could talk with Judy, I could sleep in her bed and when I wake up Judy’s sleeping next to V, and I could find a few items where Johnny appears and makes comments (such as the band poster on the wall).

  16. I just did Pisces, and after following the guide totally, I didn’t get the chance to say I’m sorry, I got the kiss on the cheek. I tried to reload and do it again but I got the same reaction. Does this mean I can’t romance her?

    • Ok, I reloaded it again and this time I picked up Maiko’s body and carried it out, and that seems to have worked.

  17. The screenshot where Judy’s laying on the couch, is it actually from the current release of the game? Did not see this specific scene in my playthrough, the quest played out according to the instructions though. I played as a nomad.

  19. I’m on the mission both sides now and I’m infront of Judys apartment and I don’t have the pop-up letting me open the door do I have to wait till evening or morning? Please lemme know if if dine something wrong

  20. Followed every step. for some reason during the bathroom scene, no option was given and she just went ahead to sleep on the couch, can anyone help?

    • Same here. Reloaded a bunch of times and still no option to kiss.
      I killed the Tyler guys and Maiko. I don’t remember a kiss.

  21. be smart and make a save before you walk in the bathroom in the cabin.. it is kinda nice to look at and considering the amount of work it takes to get there.. ill glady relive that moment

    also does anyone know if there is more romancing after the quest is complete and you have moved into the apartment with her?

  22. Anybody see a green circle marker in the water after the romance from the shore?? I swim to it and I see the word Evelyn like I should be looking at her. But I don’t see a body. Should there have been, was the body just glitched for me so I couldn’t see it? Would be a nice touch seeing as what that place meant to Judy.

  23. Here’s how i ended up with Maiko alive and all three gangmembers shot:
    First choice between Maiko and Judy, i let the time run out
    The one after that, i used the one that started combat aka draw weapon
    Killed all 3 Tyger Claws
    Said to Maiko: “What?” and it’s not sure, what will happen now. She told me to leave immediately and so i did. Got the kiss from Judy.

  25. Thank you for this. I was so paranoid when I didn’t get the same options at the end of Pisces, but did get the kiss and was later able to complete the romance.

    Man, they did such a good job with these character arcs. River’s was good (completed his for the romance but Judy was the one I really wanted so I reloaded a save after his), Panam’s was great (and she’s freaking awesome – my V is female so got Friendzoned), but that last quest with Judy was absolutely amazing.

  26. Sucks they made Judy just a lesbo. She should’ve been a bisexual so that playing as male V doesn’t miss out on sexual relationship with Judy.

  27. is the quest after this one locked out for male characters, i know you cant romance her but im just wondering if the last quest is just locked for male characters

    • ah ok thank you, cause i keep getting the thanks v thing like she didnt register i killed maiko is that the normal reaction to unlock the next quest?

    • or even does judy have to the i cant believe you killed her thing is that the bad ending with her? or if she ackownledges it and the game gives the thanks thing as good ending thing?

    • Yeah, why bother though? You’ll end up with some crappy legendary or something that you can craft a better version of anyway. Doing this quest line as a male is just boring. You’re better off doing gigs for random fixers and then just find some whore to bang for $100 if you want a sex scene. Way more entertainment value.

  29. Stupid question.. After all this l.. Can you romance her again and more other times or is it just the one time.. Like too know.. When I went to the apartment all I did was just to talk to her about Random things.. Just curious is all.

  30. I’m playing female V and have romance Judy and I’m at the ending but whenever they get into the tank the end of leaving Judy behind I don’t think you can take her with you for the star ending.

  32. Thanks for this guide just wanted to add that you don’t have to kill Maiko I killed all the TYGA and then just left her there and still got the kiss from Judy and access to Pyramid song. I am playing on the 2.0 update.
