Getting Warmer… is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Getting Warmer… Gig (Side Quest).
Area: Westbrook (Japantown)
Quest Giver: Wakako Okada (Fixer)
Requirement: Street Cred Level 10
Reward: €$4020, 432 XP, Street Cred
Mission Info: Gig Type: SOS Merc Needed
Objective: Rescue netrunner from Tyger Claws
Target Info: BugBear, real name unknown, 24 years old
Location: Salinas St.
Details:
Used to be BugBear and the Tygers got along. They were supposed to work a Kiroshi warehouse job together, but she left them out to dry – remotely drove out a van packed with high-end gear and abandoned them inside. Certain death. But those Tygers are a tough crew, you know how stubborn they can be. The next day they pull up to her apartment wanting to know where she stashed the tech. BugBear was desperate, escaped to the Net, shrouded herself in soft that’d flatline her if they tried to disconnect her. Of course now they just have to watch the clock tick. Eventually, BugBear will have to come out or risk frying her own synapses. And the Tygers are patient, especially in matters of revenge. Personally, I think they like it more this way. Get BugBear out of there and give word – I’ll send transport. But remember to disconnect her safely. She’s useless to me dead.
Objectives:
- Enter the building
- Find BugBear
- Find a way to safely disconnect BugBear
- Lower BugBear’s body temperature before disconnecting her
- Disconnect BugBear
- Carry BugBear to the Fixer’s car
Starting Location: Getting Warmer…
Gig: Getting Warmer starts in Westbrook (Japantown).
Bug Warning: Getting Warmer Gig is bugged for some players – in this case everyone (including the woman you’re trying to save) will be dead already when you arrive at the scene. It can also happen that some objectives throughout the mission won’t update (such as injecting the woman with the coolant). This is based on patch version 1.05. There is no guaranteed fix for this, but here are some things you can try: sleep in the bed in V’s apartment, or reload a previous save, or reload the save before going to the Gig and play some other Gigs and come back to see if it unbugged. Or the worst option if nothing works; to start a new game or wait for a future patch to (hopefully) fix this retroactively.
Enter the building
Once you arrive at the scene and get the call from Wakako, enter the marked building and head upstairs. There should be some guards in the hallway and they will turn hostile when getting close to them. Defeat all of them.
Find BugBear
In a side room of the corridor with guards, is a Netrunner called BugBear. She’s sitting on a chair in the corner. More enemies will spawn from all sides, take them all out.
Find a way to safely disconnect BugBear
To disconnect BugBear you must find the Coolant on the bathroom sink and inject her with it.
Lower BugBear’s body temperature before disconnecting her
Walk over to BugBear and give her the Coolant.
Disconnect BugBear
Now interact with the wall panel right next to BugBear to disconnect her.
Carry BugBear to the Fixer’s car
Pick up the lady and carry her to the trunk of the Fixer’s car. You can take a shortcut and simply drop out the balcony (you will drop her when you do this, but she’ll survive).
Then put her in the trunk of the car. It will say “Dump Body / ” when at the trunk. Then the fixer will drive off. Netrunner Lady saved, job complete!
This finishes Getting Warmer gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77).

I can confirm that with update 1.2 it has been fixed and was so happy when I got the call to complete the mission. Was my last side gig to get little Tokyo trophy and was able to finally platinum after getting it.
Also your guides are amazing. Just about to platinum watch dogs legion thanks to you.

I’ve completed this mission, but for some reason it registers as a Heywood gig instead of a Westbrook gig in my journal entries.
I’ve installed version 1.21, but it hasn’t fixed a couple f things for me – Stephan doesn’t appear for Sweet Dreams mission, and I can’t complete the Brendan (veending machine) story either – Theo never shows up.
Anyone else run into these issues? – I’ve completed every other district except Westbrook…

same issue for me – registered as a heywood gig. Did you manage to fix this somehow?
