Cyberpunk 2077 Dirty Biz Gig Walkthrough

December 16, 2020 by PowerPyx 3 Comments

Dirty Biz is a Gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77). This walkthrough will guide you through all steps of the Dirty Biz Gig (Side Quest).

Area: Watson (Northside)
Quest Giver: Regina Jones (Fixer)
Requirement: Street Cred Level 1
Reward: 1390€$, 234XP, 525 Street Cred
Mission Info: Gig type: Thievery

Objective: Get the raw BD of the murderer of Bryce Stone’s son

Location: Buildings off Shipyard Way

Details: My good friend, the televangelist Bryce Stone (don’t ask, it’s complicated) needs our help. His little boy was kidnapped and brutally murdered a few days later. The NCPD dropped the case due to lack of evidence. Bryce decided to take matters into his own hands and found the BD scroll of his murder, but the virtu’s heavily edited, meaning there aren’t a lot of clues to go on. If you could get your hands on the raw cut there’s a chance we could identify the murderer. The virtu was put out by two XBD tuners (Gottfrid and Fredrik) in Northside. I’m betting they still have the original somewhere. Just watch out for the Maelstromers that are guarding them.

Objectives:

  • Find Gottfrid’s and Fredrik’s studio
  • Find the XBD Recording
  • Take recording BD_9430
  • Leave the area
  • Deposit the recording in the Drop Point

Starting Location: Dirty Biz

Gig: Dirty Biz starts at Watson (Northside).

Find Gottfrid’s and Fredrik’s studio

There are two ways to enter the enemy compound. The first option is through the front gate on the west.

The second option is through a fence behind the compound on the east, it requires 7 Technical Ability.

It doesn’t really matter which way you take. If you can take out the enemies in combat that’s the easiest way. If you prefer a stealthy approach, remote-shutdown (Quickhack) the surveillance cameras, then use the environment to distract enemies and do stealth-takedowns on all of them, or use a silenced sniper rifle to do headshots from afar.

Then you’ll want to go is upstairs. Beware of an automated turret inside the building – if you get spotted the enemies that are left alive will swarm you. An easier path is to climb through the upstairs window from outside, which leads to a door you must go through.

Behind that door is another turret on the ceiling which you should destroy. Then you find the room where Gottfrid and Fredrik are located. Talk to them.

Dialogue:

  • Give it to me.
  • Enough, I’ll find it myself.
  • Who killed the preacher’s son?

What you pick doesn’t matter, the XBD Recording is on the shelf behind them, in the same room. You can also kill Gottfrid and Fredrik if you like, it doesn’t matter.

Find the XBD Recording / Take recording BD_9430

Pick up the item behind them (circled yellow here).

Leave the area

Backtrack the way you came to leave.

Deposit the recording in the Drop Point

And lastly, go to the waypoint marker at the north-east side behind the compound to drop off the stolen goods.

This finishes Dirty Biz gig in Cyberpunk 2077 (CP77).

Hated the fact that it seems like originally it was inteded for you to look through the XBD, but instead you end up making a dead drop, such a letdown.

There’s an even easier way assuming you have the build for it. Across the street is a wrecked building with a door that requires a Body 9 to open. Go in, and if you have double jump, make your way to the top floor which has another door. This leads directly into the room with the evil father-son duo. You’ll bypass all of the security with this path.
