There are 3 Mind Games Challenges in Crimson Desert. They are part of the Minigame Category. Finishing all Mind Games Challenges and the other Minigame Sub-Categories unlocks the True Gamer trophy & achievement.
Challenges Overview:
A Silent War
- How to Unlock: Win at Rock, Paper, Scissors in Hernand to unlocks this.

- Challenge: Win in Rock, Paper, Scissors x3.
- How to Complete: Rock, Paper, Scissors is played against the kids located in every major town, for example in Hernand town. You can face them once every few days, with each match being won after 2 correct guesses. This is generally pretty luck based. Make a manual save beforehand, if you lose reload the save to retry. You can beat the same kids 3 times for this challenge on different days, or find kids in other locations. On the map’s Environment tab they are indicated by question marks “?” after unfogging the map. This minigame is found in Hernand town, Demeniss town, Delesyia town, Tashkalp town (Crimson Desert), Varnia town (north of Crimson Desert), Pailune town (after story chapter 7). This is also one way you can farm insects knowledge randomly if you keep winning against the kids.
- Reward: A random insect (per win)
A Bloom of High Stakes
- How to Unlock: Participate in Duo at any location to unlock this. You can find duo in the Hernand inn upstairs, and in Tashkalp town (Crimson Desert region). See the 2 Duo locations below:

- Challenge: Have a win streak in Duo (x3), Win against 1, 2, and 3 opponents at least once each.
- How to Complete: Each round you draw 2 sticks, the person with the highest score wins. See the score combinations below. Whenever you draw, you will be shown the first draw of your opponents, then hold
to check what possible score they could have and how high your score is. If you have a bad hand, fold to not waste more money. When you have a good hand and opponents have a bad hand, go all-in and they will usually fold and you win the round. You can find a bigger duo table with 3 players in Tashkalp, the town in the south of Crimson Desert. If you catch one of them cheating you can call them out and they will be kicked out (or if one player runs out of money), then you can win a match against 2 players there. Cheating is indicated by how opponents move their hand when the shuffle. When they pull their hand upward toward their throat they are cheating and trying to hide a card in their sleeve. When they pull out the hand sideways they are playing fair. When it’s your turn to shuffle you can also try to cheat by pressing
when the button prompt appears, this allows you to hide a card in your sleeve, then during the game you can shuffle it into your deck when the button prompt appears again at the bottom of the screen.

For both Duo and Five-Card you can obtain the Deceiver’s Fedora, which is a headgear item that you can use in both games. Wearing it allowing you to view all of your opponents hands each round to see if you will win or if you want to try bluffing.

To obtain the Deceiver’s Fedora you first must complete the arena quests in Tommaso (Tashkalp, Crimson Desert). This is the same requirement to unlock the Swordsmanship contest for Duel Challenge #5. Once you’ve done this, there will be a Mineral Shop on the upper level of the arena (they aren’t present until you complete the arena quests). Raise their Trust to 100 which you can do by giving them coin pouches, then they will sell the Deceiver’s Fedora for 97 silver. Put it on before sitting down at a Duo or Five-Card match to use it.

- Reward: Money
Key of Destiny
- How to Unlock: Participate in Five-Card in Odeck, after completion of Odeck Tribe Faction Quest chain Executioner of Justice in Pailune. The Faction Quest becomes available after completing most other Faction Quests in Pailune, at the same time as the Stjar Clan quests. You can play Five-Card before this but the challenge won’t become available until you finished the faction quests.

- Challenge: Have a win streak in Five-Card(x3), Win against 1, 2, and 3 opponents at least once each.
- How to Complete: Five-Card functions almost the same as Duo minigame, just that you draw 5 cards each round instead of 2. The person with the highest score wins. Whenever you draw, you will be shown the first draw of your opponents, then hold
to check what possible score they could have and how high your score is. If you have a bad hand, fold to not waste more money. When you have a good hand and opponents have a bad hand, go all-in and they will usually fold and you win the round. Watch out for opponents cheating, indicated by how they move their hand when the shuffle.
- Reward: Money

Mind Games 3 in Odeck, 5 cards game.
PowerPyx says
How exactly do you get the 5 cards minigame to register as a challenge? It doesn’t appear under challenges for me after playing it a bunch of times. I won on a table of 3, eliminated a player, won 4 hands in a row. Never appears under challenges. I tried in the small town in the north-west of Demeniss where you start in chapter 6 (south-east edge of Pailune). Only location where I found the 5 cards minigame so far. Not sure if it’s buggy or just very specific unlock requirement. The map icon also remains a question mark for me.
PowerPyx says
Got it now, Odeck is indeed the 3rd minigame, but it requires specifically the version of Odeck you get from Pailun faction questline “Executioner of Justice”. So it’s a bit hidden and the other version of the 5 cards minigame won’t give the challenge.

no, there is no minigame in Odeck

You need to complete a questline in Odeck for it to appear but it doesnt register for me under challenges.

How do you manage to get a win streak of 3 in 5 cards? Seems significantly less likely to get 3 decent hands in a row.
