CTR: Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled Remake on PS4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch contains shortcuts in every race. There’s a total of 32 race tracks in CTR. Some contain only one shortcut and others contain multiple shortcuts. This guide shows all shortcut locations so you can save time and win more easily.
Knowing the shortcuts is especially helpful for hard difficulty and also for beating the N Tropy & Oxide time trials.
The shortcuts that require jumps can be a bit tricky. You can make this easier by collecting 10 Wumpa Fruit (allows you to drive faster and jump further) or by using the Turbo Power-Up or Mask Power-Up. During the time trials you will have to relay on power slide boosting.
Crash Cove
The Crash Cove shortcut is found after taking the first left turn. Jump over the ramp to gain a speed boost and then jump from the puddle of water to the meadow on the small hill.
Mystery Caves
There is a shortcut just to the left after the first set of turtles, you can save a little time if you have boost but I generally never used this shortcut as the mud slows you down hugely.
Sewer Speedway
This shortcut is tricky but is a huge time save, try to drive at the shortcut with a triple boost active and hop late when going for it, it can be quite fiddly to get the hang of.
Roo’s Tubes
With enough boost you can hop at the end of this ramp to the left and drift across the dirt to save a lot of time.
Slide Coliseum
You can jump over the grass here to the other side.
Again you can jump over the grass or the tire just to the left with boost.
Again you can jump over the grass here.
You can jump over this tire with enough boost.
Turbo Track
No shortcuts so to speak, but there are a few areas where you can cut through the grass to save a small amount of time.
Coco Park
Near the start of the track just before the tunnel, with sufficient boost you can drift boost across the grass mound on the left to save time.
Tiger Temple
During a time trial this shortcut is automatically open, otherwise in a race you need to hit it with a beaker, bomb, missile or mask to open the door.
Papu’s Pyramid
As soon as you reach the top of the pyramid, you can drift across the grass to bypass the first plant.
Just after the previous shortcut, you can jump across the small pillar ahead.
Right after the previous pillar there is a wall on the left, it’s practically impossible to get across if you took the previous shortcut and doesn’t save as much time.
Shortly after the previous shortcut, it’s possible; with enough boost prior to hitting the turbo pad, to hope off the upper right of the ramp and sharply turn to the right and land on the other side of the track.
Dingo Canyon
No real shortcuts other than cutting across the sand near the start, but it’s only faster if you have boost beforehand.
Polar Pass
When you read the open water area with several turbo pads, you can jump across the very upper right of this platform at the right angle to jump across the water and land on the track at the other side, this requires boost build up prior to hit the turbo pads.
You can jump over this wall by hopping at the top of the mound with boost.
Tiny Arena
No shortcuts.
Dragon Mines
Right before the wooden spiral you can follow a mine cart up some tracks to bypass it, however this is extremely difficult to master and use practically in a race situation.
Blizzard Bluff
Just on the left at the start of the track, you can go across the snow between the wall and pillar.
After the first boulder and ice rink, providing you have enough boost you can hop over this mound, across the water and land on the other side.
You can jump over either fence, but the left fence is considerably harder to pull off.
Hot Air Skyway
When you reach the first set of turbo pads, hop at the end of the ramp at the angle shown to land on a part of the track sticking out on the right.
Cortex Castle
Once you reach the clocktower there is a platform you can jump to on your immediate left if you have enough boost to reach it.
N.Gin Labs
A minor shortcut is available once you reach this turbo pad after the section with the rolling barrel, you can jump off to the left if you have boost and land on this turbo pad which is slightly faster than the normal route.
Oxide Station
No shortcuts.
Inferno Island
The only ‘shortcut’ is right at the start of the track. Just after the first bridge you can go to the left and hop up a small bump to cut through the rocks, you need at least some boost to make the jump and is a lot easier to make on the 2nd and 3rd laps, N. Tropy/Oxide don’t use this shortcut.
Jungle Boogie
Right after the start of the track where you jump down to the lower level, instead of jumping down you can hop on to a wall on the right, this saves a small amount of time if you slide boost along it.
The next shortcut is when you come to the long bridge section, there is a bridge which you can hop to on the left which saves some time.
Clockwork Wumpa
You’ll come to an arrow pointing left with 3 gears dead ahead, instead of going left you can hop across the gears, you need some power slide boost to get across this shortcut quickly enough to save time and not fall off.
Android Alley
When you come down a ramp back outside you’ll see a large glass window ahead with a yellow arrow sign pointing left, ignore this and go straight through the window and out the other side back on to the track, this is a great time saver.
Electron Avenue
No shortcuts.
Deep Sea Driving
Once you get to the area with the long straight paths with boost pads at the end, at the final boost bad platform you can jump across the gap and land on a path sticking out on the right.
Thunder Struck
No shortcuts.
Tiny Temple
Once you pass the muddy are with the electrical wires and come to the green stone path, there is a path on the left that you can hop to easily if you have boost.
Meteor Gorge
Just at the start of the race before jumping down on the ice, you can hope over the small hill to a path on the left with a turbo pad on the end.
Near the end of the lap, you can use this turbo pad to hop over a gap and land on a stuck out path on the other side.
Barin Ruins
After coming out of the metal tunnel there will be a small hill just ahead which you can use when boosting to jump over the small wall directly ahead.
Out of Time
Right at the start of the track and to the right of the 2 ramps with the “!” box you can drift across the sand here.
Just after the next shortcut, providing you have boost you can hop over the face here at the right side.
Right after exiting the clock building, you can jump off the left of the ramp ahead and land on the left of the gap on the other side.
Assembly Lane
You can jump over the wall ahead and to the other side if you are boosting by using the small hill that tiny is on in the picture.
Hyper Spaceway
Just after coming out of the first portal you can immediately drop down to the left and follow a pathway through the mountain, this is a lot easier to pull off if you maintain your super boost from the portal.
Retro Stadium
This is basically a PS1 retro version of turbo track, no real shortcuts but you can cut across the grass. This track is not required for any trophies.
That’s all of the shortcuts in Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled.

You’re missing some shortcuts here:
Coco Park:
You can actually go up the grass mound and go through a gap between the plants on top of it.
Hot Air Skyway:
With enough boost you can jump over the wall at the hair pin turn at the end of the track.
Clockwork Wumpa:
A little bit after the !-crate that opens the trap door there’s a ramp from which you can jump to the left onto a suspended wooden pathway.
Electron Avenue:
In the area where the lasers occur for the first time you can use the right ramp with a boost pad to jump to the right and skip the turn to land directly in front of the second laser obstacle.
Assembly Lane:
1. I don’t if this qualifies as a real shortcut but there’s an area where you can jump on the conveyer belt (where stuff is stomping down from above).
2. Near the end of the track there’s a gap in the fence on the left side through which you can jump onto a ledge.
And you’re missing both of the new tracks.
Twilight Tour:
1. Right at the beginning jump through the gap in the wall on the left hand side to cut the corner.
2. About halfway through the track there’s a ramp with boost pads you can’t avoid to take. Instead of jumping straight foward jump to the left to an alternate route.
3. A little later in the market area there’s a boost pad an a ramp on the right side of the track. From that ramp you can jump on top of th roofs of the market stands.
Prehistoric Playgound:
1. Near the start there are two gaps with boost pads between the rocks one of which you have to take. Take the right one and jump over the abyss to the area on the right (blue fire needed).
2. Later were the road splits take the left side and jump onto the large bones that are there (one of which has a boost pad on top of it).

This is great, thanks for helping to make the guide better! =)
Will be giving this a look in a bit and update accordingly.

You missed another.
Hyper Spaceway.
Included in the first shortcut, however when you reach the main track again turn to the right and drive wrong way and boost off the track onto a later part of the track.
