Introduction
Welcome to the Call of Duty WW2: DLC 1 The Resistance Trophy Guide! The first DLC of World War 2 gets us the map The Darkest Shore, with some fairly straightforward trophies. That the main easter egg has to be beaten for the 100% should go without saying at this point, but the map also has the standard side trophies we know from previous Call of Duty DLCs. Overall you’ll be looking at 1 easter egg run and about 2-3 hours worth of miscellaneous trophies.
Step 1: Get to know the map
Get a feel for the map. Open all the doors, try to survive some rounds and most importantly get to know the map, while having a bit of fun. Once you’ve got used to the mine cart system and the map layout itself, you are ready for step 2 & 3!
Step 2: Miscellaneous trophies
Get all the miscellaneous trophies that you won’t get during a main easter egg run. These are: “Own the Fog, Be the Fog”, “The Bakers Dozen Massacre”, “Still Lurking”, “Always on Spine” and “I Got This”.
Step 3: Beat the easter egg
Get a 3-4 man squad together and beat the easter egg. This will most likely take several attempts if no one in the group beat the easter egg yet. Simply stick to the Darkest Shore Main Easter Egg Guide.

Making History In The Darkest Shore, escape from the island before the bombing starts. |
This trophy is for completing the main easter egg on The Darkest Shore.
Black Winds to Darker Lands In The Darkest Shore, retrieve Barbarossa’s pommel. |
This trophy will come naturally while going for “Making History”. Simply follow steps 1-8 of the main easter egg guide.
Severe Pommeling In The Darkest Shore, kill 250 zombies with Barbarossa’s pommel in one match. |
The Barbarossa’s pommel is a lethal grenade you can acquire after completing some of the main easter egg steps. You have an infinite amount of them since they keep recharging. The best strategy for this trophy is to just get large group of zombies at the beach or in the submarine pen to get as many kills with 1 grenade as possible. It is possible that the grenade glitches out on you and becomes unusable. However, it should fix itself after picking up a max ammo power-up. However, if it stays glitched after multiple max ammo pickups you have to restart and unlock it again. Unfortunately, there is no fix for this yet.
Now simply keep track of your kills while using the pommel and you should have this trophy in less than 30 minutes. Please refer to “Black Winds to Darker Lands” on how to acquire the Barbarossa’s Pommel. |
Own the Fog, Be the Fog In The Darkest Shore, kill a Meuchler in the fog |
The first Meuchler will spawn in around wave 7 or 8 and it will be accompanied by the fog. You simply have to kill him before the fog clears out or he escapes. You’ll have about 1-1,5 minutes to kill him. Just keep your distance and make sure you have an SMG or Assault Rifle with you, but be careful since one hit from him will get your health down to about 5%.
The Bakers Dozen Massacre In The Darkest Shore, line up and kill 13 zombies with one Ripsaw shot. |
You will have to get the ranged upgrade for the Ripsaw in order to shoot blades with it. The Ripsaw shot itself is pathetically weak and you are forced to wait for an insta kill power-up, since it will be impossible to kill 13 zombies with one shot otherwise. I’d recommend training the zombies in the submarine pen and lining them up on the walkway in here. It’s also recommended to use an instant kill power-up consumable, so you can use it whenever it suits you best. This trophy might take a few tries to get. Her is a guide that will teach you how to acquire the Ranged Ripsaw.
Going Up… In The Darkest Shore, unlock the Ubersprengen. |
For this trophy you simply have to unlock the Übersprengen machine. Here is a guide that will tell you how to do that.
Still Lurking In The Darkest Shore, find and shoot Dr. Straub. |
This trophy is just like the one in the base game. Dr. Straub has a few set locations around the map where he can spawn and he needs to be shot in order for this trophy to pop. Other than the base game trophy, only the player who shot him will get the trophy, not everybody in the lobby. Here are the currently known locations:
Always on Spine In The Darkest Shore, rip out the spine of every Zombie type. |
For this trophy you have to build the Ripsaw and use it to rip out the spine of all 4 different Zombie types. You have to use a heavy melee attack in order to rip out the spine of an enemy. To perform a heavy melee attack, you have to aim and then fire while having the Ripsaw out or you have to sprint and then melee (if you already upgraded the Ripsaw). The 4 types of enemies are:
I Got This In The Darkest Shore, survive the initial beach rush without using any machine gun turrets. |
This trophy is by far the easiest zombie trophy in the game and you’ll probably unlock it the very first time you play the map. You simply have to kill all the zombies that are emerging from the shore without using the mounted MG42 behind you. Simply get your shovel out and melee the 30+ zombies until the beach rush ends.
This Damn Island In The Darkest Shore, explore the entire island. |
You will get this trophy naturally while going for “Making History”. Everybody in the lobby will get this and you don’t actually have to explore any areas, simply unlocking them is sufficient. Do steps 1-6 of the main easter egg guide to unlock this trophy. |
