Introduction
Welcome to the Call of Duty Infinite Warfare: Absolution DLC Trophy Guide! The Absolution DLC introduces the third Zombies map, “The Attack of the Radioactive Thing” to Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. The map features Mistress of the Dark, Elvira (portrayed by Cassandra Peterson) as the guest star this time.
In order to complete this DLC, you’ll have to complete the main easter egg at least 2 times coupled with a few miscellaneous trophies. It’s a rather short easter egg compared to the other maps, however, it’s easily on par with Zombies in Spaceland in terms of difficulty.
It’s highly recommended to play the DLC with multiple people, as some of the steps would be quite annoying to complete solo. It’s also safer to have someone who can revive you during the laser course step near the end if you go down.
Step 1: 1st main Easter Egg completion + Dear Diary (+ Skullhop & Belly of the Best)
Beat the main easter egg to unlock Elvira as a playable character and make sure you activate Willard’s diary 6-9 times after the boss fight for the “Dear Diary” trophy. This has to be done with one of the 4 main characters and not with Elvira since Willard won’t give you a quote when you activate the diary as her.
For “Belly of the Beast” you should try to enter the codes correctly the first time you are teleported into the belly of the endboss. This is the hardest trophy because you have only 30 seconds to enter the code. If you fail, you must retry it on the next easter egg run.
Furthermore, you can complete the Skullhop side easter egg to receive all 12 perks permanently for this session (you keep them even if you go down), but it’s not needed for the actual main easter egg.
Step 2: 2nd Main Easter Egg Completion (+ Skullhop & Belly of the Beast)
Beat the main easter egg again, this time you will be playing as Elvira though. Use the code: Down, Right, Down, Left, Up, Right on your d-pad in the lobby to select her.
In this step you should aim for the “Belly of the Beast” trophy at the end of the boss fight. You need to enter the bomb code correctly during your first teleportation (approx. 30 seconds). The number of codes that have to be entered correctly correlates to the number of players in the lobby. If you are playing as 2 you will have to enter 2 correct codes, if you are playing as 3 you will have to enter 3 correct codes and so on. The reason I’m using the phrase “X correct codes” instead of “every player in the lobby must enter the code correctly” has a simple reason. You are able to enter more than one code and thus you can carry one of your team mates who couldn’t enter the code correctly within the given time, through this last step. I’m not sure whether this is intended by the game or not, but I can confirm that it works and that it will reward you with the trophy.
This time you can complete the Skullhop Easter Egg to receive all the perks in the game for free and permanently for this session. Again, this step is not needed for the main Easter Egg and it’s completely up to you if you want to go through it or not. You can either do it in your first run or this one to make the boss fight a bit easier. I don’t recommend doing Skullhop every single time you want to complete the Easter Egg, as it takes at least 60+ minutes, while all the steps for the main EE can be completed in about 30 minutes!
Step 3: (Optional) Cleanup
In this step you will be going for all the miscellaneous trophies you may or may not be missing at this point. The 3 trophies you’ll most likely have to get during this step are MAD Proto, Bait and Switch, and Belly of the Beast.

Soul-Less In Attack of the Radioactive Thing, recover the piece of the Soul Key. |
||||||||||||||||||
This trophy requires you to beat the main Easter Egg in Attack of the Radioactive Thing, and other than in Zombies in Spaceland, Rave in the Redwooods and Shaolin Shuffle, it will automatically unlock during the cutscene right after the boss fight and not after picking up the soul key yourself. To recover the piece of the Soul Key you will have to complete the following steps:
1..Turn on the power. The power switch is located near the power station and the missing lever is right next to the OSA wallbuy by the beach. 2..Pick up Elvira’s Spellbook. The book is inside the safe on the left side of the Skullhop arcade machine, in the ice cream parlor. 3..Fill Elvira’s Vial. Once you’ve returned the spellbook to Elvira, she’ll give you a vial that you have to fill by killing enemies with the cleaver. The cleaver is sticking in a shark carcass, inside the Sonova Beachside Market next to the Deadeye Dewdrops perk machine. Hold Square to pick it up. 4..Collect Elvira’s Mirror and activate the Pack-A-Punch portal. Once you give the filled vial back to Elvira, she’ll get up from her couch and fight alongside you for about 90 seconds, similar to David Hasselhoff in Zombies in Spaceland. Go up to the couch she was sitting on and pick up the mirror. After that just sit next to the portal outside the TV station (by the M.A.D. box) and wait for her to fix the portal. 5..Assemble the Zombie Soldier. Now with all the preparations out of the way, it’s time for the first actual easter egg step. You have to assemble the Zombie Solider. Here is an overview of all the parts needed:
6..Aquire the Garage Key: Now that the Zombie Soldier has been assembled, you have to get the key from it. For this you have to use the death ray in the spawn area. You have to place all the parts as follows:
Now that all the parts are in the correct spot, you have to activate the death ray by successfully completing a code sequence. The numbers for that code are 3, 4, 5, 6, and 8 and their order will always be randomized. Once you have figured out the correct order, make sure to remember it/ write it down, since you’ll have to enter the same code backwards for the second activation of the death ray. Now simply activate the death ray to fully “restore” the zombie and then enter the code backwards to vaporize it. The key will now drop right in front of the restraint chair. 7..Collect the laboratory parts:
8..Collect the bomb parts:
9..Collect the bomb code: The bomb code is written on a piece of paper, locked in a safe inside the Sonova Beachside Market. You open that safe by adjusting 4 pressure gauges around the map. The code for the 4 pressure gauges is hidden underneath the desk in the safe room. You have to enter those numbers in any order you want. You have to pick up the crowbar and then melee a pressure gauge at the right time to input a number. Once all 4 numbers are put in, the safe will open and the code can be picked up.
10. Set up the laboratory, find out your correct color filter and talk to Elvira one last time: Now simply head over to the gas station and open the garage door with your key. Turn right once you are inside to pick up the last part Elvira wants from you. The additional book pages you need are on the shelf with all the tires. Walk up to the bomb and the workbench in front of you and attach all the parts you collected during step 7 and 8. Now head over to the Motel to find out your M value. Just go inside the room near the motel entrance and look at the top left corner to see the M. The M value will change every game. Now you need to find out your O value for this game and then multiply that value by the M value. The result you get will determine what color filter you have to use for the chemical ingredients boards. You can see the color range on a monitor right next to Elvira. Now to figure out the O value, you have to change the color filter with the panel in the TV station to find the correct O value around the map. The O is always displayed as O = X. You have to find the O value that doesn’t change the = to a ≠ when being viewed through all 3 color filters. So let’s say you have O = 10 and you change the color to red, green and then blue and the = doesn’t change into a ≠, you’ve found the correct O value. If the = remains during the green and red filter but turns into a ≠ when the blue filter is applied, it’s the incorrect O value. There are a total of 4 O value locations around the map, so you’ll have to change the color filter 16 times in order to find the right one. Here are the four O value locations around the map:
Alternatively: The product of the V and O value has to be within the color range (TV next to Elvira), which means that you can simply rule out all the impossible O values by simply multiplying them with the M value. In my case M = 20 and the different color ranges were: green = X < 297, red = 297 – 299 and blue = X > 299. My O values: 4, 8, 9 and 15. The four products are: 4*20 = 80, 8*20 = 160, 9*20 = 180 and 15*20 = 300. You can already see that the first three are way off the color range of 296 – 300 and that the fourth one exactly fits. Now that you have figured out the correct filter, it’s time to time screenshot / copy all the values on the 6 chemical ingredient boards around the map, with the correct filter on. You only copy the top and left value of each ingredient, nothing else. I recommend using this chemical calculator and directly filling in all the values rather than taking screenshots. Here are the 6 board locations around the map:
11. Create the chemical bomb compound: Now that the laboratory is set up and you have all the correct chemical values, it’s time to create the bomb compound. There are four possible mixtures and I recommend you to just create and try them all until you got the correct one. You combine chemicals by calculating their correct value and then combining them using the laboratory equipment. First, you have to figure out that value and you do that by adding the top and left value of both ingredients and subtracting the O value. As an example: Acetaldehyde Vodka (L: 5 + T: 7 ) + Pennies (L: 4 + T: 7 ) – O Value (20) ⇒ Acetaldehyde (3) If the chemical value is below 10, you have to enter the number as 0 + the number (so 03 for the example above). You can do this by hand for every combination you need, using the screenshots you took during the previous step, but again, I recommend using this calculator instead. This way you don’t have to constantly bring up all the different screenshots again and the values have already been calculated for you. There is no specific order in which you have to make the 4 bomb components since the correct one is always completely random. To avoid any unnecessary combinations I recommend using this order:
You create these 4 chemicals like this (basic ingredient ; combination ; end product):
Here are all 15 basic ingredients you’ll need and their locations:
Walk up to the bomb after picking up one of the red bomb mixtures and hold on it, to test whether it’s the correct one or not. Once you have found the correct one, the main easter egg steps have been completed and the only thing left is the boss fight against the radioactive thing. Now it’s time for you to gear up and get ready for the boss fight. I’d recommend you to get the following things for this: Perks
Weapons
Fate and Fortune Cards
Alternatively: There is a handy glitch that you can use to make the Zombies completely unaware of you. To do this you need a friend with the Fate and Fortune Card “Zombie Magnet” who is not hosting the game. You receive the card randomly from Zombie Crates, so there is a chance that you don’t actually own it. However, I strongly recommend grinding keys and buying 30 keys Zombie Crates until you get it, as this glitch turns the boss fight into a complete joke. The only drawback of this is that the card owner will lose 1 Zombie Magnet and they won’t be able to get the Belly of the Beast trophy in that run since they have to join after the bomb step has been completed. This is how the player with Zombie Magnet activates the glitch:
All the zombies in the game should now ignore the players who are still in the lobby. The boss fight can be completed without killing a single zombie, so this glitch is perfect for the easter egg on this map (although this glitch works on every Infinite Warfare zombies map). Now have your friend join the game again after the bomb step, as soon as the cutscene starts playing. Your friend will get the trophy from this and they’ll unlock Elvira just like everyone else in the lobby. It’s also recommended to have the player that activated the glitch reboot their game after leaving the match, to avoid any errors when joining back in. You don’t have to buy any weapons whatsoever for the fight if you are using the glitch, you only have to get Up N Atoms, Tuff ‘Nuff and Racin’ Stripes for the laser step at the end. The zombies will be ignoring you the whole time and you don’t have to fire a single bullet during the whole fight. Also make sure that every player writes down the bomb code, as you won’t be able to bring up the scoreboard once you are interacting with the bomb. 12. The boss fight against the Radioactive Thing: The actual boss fight consists of 3 phases and you don’t actually have to damage the boss with your own weapons, you only have to complete certain objectives. The 3 phases of the boss fight are: 1. Pushing the bomb: You will spawn right next to the bomb after you were teleported and your objective now is to escort the bomb all the way to the water. The bomb will start moving on its own when you stand next to it, similar to the robot in the multiplayer mode Safeguard. The Radioactive Thing will fire a barrage of orange and yellow balls at you, which you can avoid by stepping away from the bomb for a few seconds (about 10 meters should be far enough). Once the barrage is over, you continue to escort the bomb. Your teammates should be running zombie trains so you don’t have to kill any/ very few zombies while escorting. Once you reach the water, the bomb will be fired into the mouth of the Radioactive Thing and this step has been completed. 2. Shooting the weak spot: Your objective now is to hit the green weak spot on the chest of the Radioactive Thing with the laser cannons around the beach. It will be fairly hard to hit the weak spot for the first time, as the chest will close after only 5 seconds every time it opens. You have to pretty much hit the spot as the boss is attacking you. The Radioactive Thing has 2 different attacks you have to look out for. A green laser beam and a strong ground slam. The beam can easily be dodged and all you have to do is step away from your cannon for a few seconds. The ground slam creates a shock wave that can instantly kill you, even with Tuff ‘Nuff. It’s a fairly slow attack so it shouldn’t be too difficult to avoid. Nonetheless, try to react as quickly as possible and start running off to the right or left to avoid it. After the weak spot has been hit once, the chest will remain open permanently and it will be a lot easier to shoot. You have to hit the spot another 8 times now. Once you’ve hit the weak spot for the 8th time, the chest will close up again and the phase will be completed. 3. Laser and Bomb step: These 2 steps are the reason this easter egg can be pretty nerve-wracking at times. The boss will fire more barrages at you and it will also cover parts of the beach with acid. Once you’ve survived those attacks, it will spawn a laser obstacle course in front of you. Your team now has 10 seconds to clear the course and hold Square-Button at the bomb hologram near the shore. Once that is done, all the players will be teleported inside the belly of the Radioactive Thing. In there you have to interact with the bomb and enter the bomb code correctly. Please refer to the “Belly of the Beast” trophy for more details on the code sequence. Here is a video of the laser course and the code sequence inside the belly: Once the codes have been entered correctly, the ending cutscene will start to play and the easter egg has been completed. Congratulations! |

Unpleasant Dreams In Attack of the Radioactive Thing, collect the piece of Soul Key as Elvira. |
||||||||||||||||||
For this trophy you have to complete the main Easter Egg while playing as Elvira. Please refer to the Soul-Less trophy for the individual Easter Egg steps and to the Mistress of the Dark trophy on how to unlock Elvira.
Mistress of the Dark In Attack of the Radioactive Thing, unlock Elvira. |
||||||||||||||||||
You unlock Elvira after completing the main Easter Egg once (see trophy “Soul-Less”). You then have to enter the code: , , , , , when you are in the lobby. This will unlock and select Elvira as the character for the next match. You’ll be rewarded with this trophy as soon as the match starts.
Quarter Muncher In Attack of the Radioactive Thing, complete Skullhop. |
||||||||||||||||||
For this trophy you have to complete the side easter egg Skullhop. The skullhop arcade machine is located in the back room of the Ice Cream Parlor, next to the safe that had Elvira’s Spellbook in it. You’ll be rewarded all 12 perks in the game for completing Skullhop and you’ll even keep them after going down. To activate the actual Skullhop game, you have to complete 6 objectives and you’ll be rewarded with a skull for each one of them.
1. First Skull You have to shoot 5 skulls hidden around the map and there is a total of 10 possible locations for them. I recommend buying the sniper wallbuy at the Motel for this, as some of the skulls can be pretty hard to spot. Here are the 10 locations:
2. Second Skull Head over to the gas station and pick up the small yellow pump in front of the garage. 3. Third Skull Take the filled up pump over to the Motel and place it inside the pool. The water will now start to emit green mist. Kill exactly 16 zombies with one activation of the pool trap. This step is a lot easier with multiple players since you can divide the 16 zombies among all the players. You have to keep killing zombies until there are 16 left and no more are spawning in. Once the trap has stopped working, you should hear a noise and the third skull will be unlocked. 4. Fourth Skull Navigate over to the Ice Cream Parlor and write down the word displayed on the outside wall. The word will be different every single match. You now have to form letters by combining the 4 letters / symbols in many different orders. The bottom row can hold up to four letters / symbols and it always shows the ones you are combining. The top row shows you the result of your combinations. You have to shoot a correctly combined letter in the top row to lock it in place. You then start to look for the second letter in your word and do the same thing again. This step may take 5 minutes or 45 minutes since all the combinations are completely randomized. If you are lucky, you already have 1 or 2 letters that you need in front of the swing sets. If you do, you only have to activate it once in the bottom row and then shoot it right away in the top row. 5. Fifth Skull Go over to the RV Park and pick up the piece of paper that has “Don’t Blink” written on it, by meleeing it. It’s sitting on the picnic table in front of the open RV. There are 4 Willard Wyler portraits around the map. You walk up to one of the portraits and hold on it to spawn a soundless sphere nearby. You have to enter that sphere and place down the pump in the center. Melee the pump on the ground to release small black ghosts that you have to shoot. You have to hit at least 6 of the ghosts before the sphere disappears. They are constantly moving around so it can be a bit tricky to hit them. It’s possible to use a regular SMG / AR for this step, but it’s a lot easier with the upgraded starting pistol + Bombstoppers. The explosive splash damage will hit multiple ghosts at once and you only have to shoot at a surface close by. You won’t be able to activate a sphere again if it has been completed successfully. Once all 4 spheres have been done, the fifth skull will unlock. The 4 portraits:
6. Sixth Skull Hit the Magic Wheel until at least one player in the lobby has the M.A.D. Fully upgrade the weapon (refer to the “MAD Proto” trophy for this) and then fire a charged shot at the Skullhop arcade machine. This will unlock the sixth and final skull. The Skullhop minigame can now be activated by holding on the machine. Every player in the lobby has to hold on the machine at the same time. The Game Once inside the machine, your objective will be to complete 3 rounds of Skullhop. This is how you play the game:
This is what you have to avoid:
If you get 3 strikes and fail the game, you will be teleported out of the machine. You now have to shoot it again with the M.A.D., which will consume 5 shots every time. Once you’ve depleted all 15 shots, you have to refill the M.A.D.. You do that by walking up to the radioactive green balls around the map and holding on them. Once all of those have been used, you have to play a few rounds and wait for them to fill up again or simply to get a max ammo power-up from a zombie |
||||||||||||||||||
Bait and Switch In Attack of the Radioactive Thing, restore and use all traps. |
||||||||||||||||||
For this trophy you have to use all 5 traps around the map. They cost $750 each and 4 of them need to be restored before you can use them. You restore them by adding the missing piece to the trap. These missing pieces have set spawn locations and every trap is only missing 1 piece. You also have to turn on the power to use any of the traps. The traps and the pieces needed for the restoration are as follows:
|
||||||||||||||||||
Belly of the Beast In Attack of the Radioactive Thing, enter the bomb codes correctly on first try. |
||||||||||||||||||
Arguably the hardest trophy in this DLC, since you are under constant time pressure while entering the code. You must enter the codes at the very end of the main easter egg, during the final phase of the endboss. After the laser grid step in the boss fight you are being teleported into the belly of the beast where you must enter the code within 30 seconds (which is the last step and kills the boss).
You obtain the code during one of the easter egg steps and it’s the same one for all the players in your lobby. For this trophy your team has to enter a number of codes correctly, corresponding to the number of players in the lobby (1 code when you are solo, 2 codes with 2 players, 3 codes with 3 players, 4 codes with 4 players). You only have to make sure that you enter the code once during your first teleportation. It doesn’t matter how many times you click on the wrong number (you get an X every time that happens and it will instantly abort the code sequence once you reach 3 X’s) or abort the code sequence manually, as long as you enter the code correctly ONCE within the given time. It’d even suggest that you abort it multiple times instead of going for 3 of the 5 numbers while already having 2 X’s. Furthermore, it’s also possible to enter multiple codes during a teleportation, technically taking over someone else’s code. You can hold again once your code is done and the code sequence will start again. You won’t get a green light for entering the code again, but it definitely counts. The cutscene will start as soon as the required number of codes has been entered, even if a player in the lobby failed to do so and another player entered 2 codes in their stead. You start the code sequence by holding and you abort it by holding . You enter a number by pressing . If you haven’t entered the code correctly after 30 seconds it teleports you back into the boss fight and the trophy is voided for this playthrough. If that happens you must redo the entire main easter egg to try the codes again. |
||||||||||||||||||
MAD Proto In Attack of the Radioactive Thing, assemble the M.A.D. (Modular Atomic Disintegrator). |
||||||||||||||||||
The M.A.D. is the new wonder weapon on Attack of the Radioactive Thing and it can only be acquired through the magic wheel (mystery box). Just getting the gun isn’t enough, you also have to fully upgrade it by adding 3 parts to it. The parts are locked inside 3 fuse boxes scattered around the map. You first have to pick up a crowbar so you can open the boxes by meleeing them. Simply hold to add the part to the M.A.D. Once you’ve attached the 3rd and final part you’ll unlock the trophy.
The Crowbar: The crowbar is located in the blueprint room by the Motel, leaning against a wall.

||||||||||||||||||
Dear Diary In Attack of the Radioactive Thing, listen to all of Willard’s personal recordings. |
||||||||||||||||||
For this trophy you have to listen to around 6-9 of Willard’s personal recordings in one match. Unfortunately, this is only possible after the main easter egg has been completed, so make sure you get this trophy before ending the game. You activate a quote by simply holding on Willard’s diary right next to the pool.
