Borderlands 3 Porta Prison Side Mission Walkthrough

Porta Prison is a side mission in Borderlands 3 (BL3). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Porta Prison Side Quest.

Porta Prison is unlocked when you complete Hostile Takeover, and have at least started Kill Killavolt to gain access to the Lectra City area.

Starting Location: Porta Prison

Speak to Trashmouth’s Crew

A man named Trashmouth is stuck inside an AI controlled porta-potty. He asks you to go meet his crew and try to get a different AI chip to swap with the AI so that it will let him out. Head over to the marked location just to the South, then down the stairs into the underground area.

Kill Traitors

The bandits down there don’t seem to have anything good to say about Trashmouth, so take them out as they start attacking you.

Get Spray Paint

Once they’re taken out, grab the marked spray paint can from the nearby table.

Spray Graffiti: 0/6

Trashmouth instructs you to spray graffiti on the nearby building to trigger a police bot coming over. Climb up the truck on the left, then get up and spray the sparkling parts on the building.

Destroy Dirty Cop Bot

Vandalizing the building triggers a police robot to come out and attempt to arrest you, take him out.

Collect AI Chip

Once destroyed the cop drops an AI chip for you to pick up.

Install AI Chip

Head around the back out of the toilet and plug the chip into the marked spot on the back.

Destroy Dirty Cop Bots

Things don’t go as planned, and the Dirty Cop AI wants to be paid too. When Trashmouth says he can’t pay anyway, the AI summons a number more Dirty Cop AIs for you to take out.

Break Septic Tank

Trashmouth figures that one of the sanitation bots might let him out, so directs you to break the septic tank on the side of the porta potty.

Destroy Recycler Bot

A mild mannered sanitation bot comes out to clean up your mess. Take it out.

Collect AI Chip

It drops a chip just like the cop bot did, grab it.

Install AI Chip

Place the chip on the newly marked spot on the back of the potty.

Find Trashmouth

The sanitation bot doesn’t like the state the potty is in, and seemingly blasts it off to a new location. Head to the Meridian Outskirts part of the map at the Meridian Outskirts fast travel station, then head out into the Spillway area and immediately to the left to the newly marked location.

Destroy Trashmouth’s Technical

Seemingly now free from his containment, Trashmouth is driving a technical and starts attacking you. Chase him down and destroy it.

Collect Illegal Weapon

Now that he’s been destroyed, you can head over and pick up the weapon that he had prior mentioned holding.  Go grab it to complete the mission and be rewarded this unique blue weapon.
