Maliwannabees is a side mission in Borderlands 3 (BL3). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Maliwannabees Side Quest.
Maliwannabees is unlocked during the Hostile Takeover main mission.
Planet: Promethea
Area: Meridian Outskirts
Quest Giver: Ziff
Requirement: Progress through Hostile Takeover
Recommended Level: 10
Reward: 559$ / 1446XP / Optional Objectives Reward: Extra Money 186$
Mission Info: A Promethean civilian wants revenge for Maliwan’s transgressions, but doesn’t know who exactly to blame. It’s up to you to dispense payback.
Objectives:
- Go to murder scene
- Go to supply vehicle
- Choose to kill Rax or Max
- OPTIONAL – Kill remaining troops
- Return to Ziff
Starting Location: Maliwannabees
Go to murder scene
Head back towards the waypoint and head under the broken bridge.
You will see a couple of bodies under Maliwan body bags, head over to them to trigger the next objective.
Go to supply vehicle
Head to the waypoint farther back towards the beginning of the area and head to the supply vehicle which is off to the side.
You will be able to spot the vehicle by the fire on the truck.
Walk up to the truck to trigger the next step.
Choose to kill Rax or Max
Head to the waypoint farther down which will lead you to a caged elevator. Step inside and press the green button to ride up, at the top there will be psychos so be careful. Follow the path up to the end and you will see a bunch of psychos, enforcers and two shielded enemies, one level 9 and the other 10. This is Rax and Max. The quest will advance when either of these two are killed, it does not matter which of the two you kill.
Optional – Kill remaining troops
Once either Rax or Max is slain you can stay to choose to defeat the remainder of the enemies. This objective does not pop up right away so make sure to stick around and defeat everyone anyway.
Return to Ziff
Once you have either taken out Rax or Max and/or defeated the remaining enemies in the area it is time to make your way back to Ziff. Ziff will be at the waypoint back where you first collected the mission.
This finishes Maliwannabees side mission in Borderlands 3.
