Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot is the 1st DLC Expansion for Borderlands 3. This guide explains how to start Borderlands 3 DLC #1: Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot:
- Download the DLC (it’s about 10GB large). The DLC has released worldwide at the same time on December 19, 2019 at 5PM GMT (9am PST). Some season pass holders are having problem with triggering the download, in which case you can only wait for the developers to fix the issue, or rebuy the DLC download separately. If you buy the DLC on its own it will work fine right away.
- As soon as the DLC is installed, head to Moxxi’s Bar on Sanctuary (your space ship). There’s a poster outside Moxxi’s bar, interacting with it starts the DLC storyline.
- Since the DLC is a level 50 post-story adventure you should have finished the story first to make sure it’s available to you. Interacting with the poster at Moxxi’s bar starts mission “Handsome Jackpot”. Follow the quest from here.
Known bugs and problems:
If you’re on PS4 and downloaded the DLC files but don’t see the mission, try reactivating the licenses (PS4 Settings > Account Management > Restore Licenses). Sometimes the license glitches out so restoring it can help the game realize you bought the DLC.
If you don’t see the starting quest progress further and beat the story first.
