Introduction

Welcome to the Borderlands 3 DLC #1: Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot Trophy Guide! This is a fairly quick 5 hour DLC to complete all trophies. It adds a new “planet” called The Handsome Jackpot. You only need to play all 7 story missions, 1 side mission “Sisterly Love” and do all 15 Crew Challenges. Everything else can be ignored.

Step 1: Finish DLC Story

After purchasing Moxxi’s Heist of the Handsome Jackpot, you can start the DLC on Sanctuary from a poster outside Moxxi’s Bar. It’s for level 50 so be sure to complete the main game first. Simply beat all 7 story missions in the DLC. This takes around 3 hours solo. Grab any Crew Challenges you find along the way (there are 15 total and you need all of them). Only 1 side quest “Sisterly Love” is needed. Everything else can be ignored.

Step 2: Crew Challenges

Mop up any remaining Crew Challenges. There are 15 total (5 of each type).

• Pieces of Resistance (Sabotage Statues) – Firebug
• Mayor’s Killer Look (Mayor’s Outfits) – Killer Look
• Torgue’s Marketing Mistakes (Mr. Torgue’s Hot Sauces) – Scovillain

Step 3: Miscellaneous

All you might have left are “Don’t Be a Stranger” and “Who Collects the Collector?” . Do them now, they only take a few minutes.

	Shoe Money Tonight Get a 21 in the blackjack minigame.
There are some chests around the sub-areas of “The Handsome Jackpot” region that have a lock saying 0/21. You can also hear a robot voice coming from the chest and encouraging you to “see how lucky you are today”. You must spend money on such a chest and it must score 21 points which will unlock the chest! To clarify, it’s not an actual game of blackjack but only a random number generator on chests that must hit number 21. Here’s such a chest location in “Impound Deluxe” sub-area that can earn you this trophy:
	Don’t Be a Stranger Return for a chat with the Clapstructor.
The Clapstructor is a robot you need to assemble during Main Story Mission “One Man’s Treasure”. It will sacrifice itself near the end of that mission. After it has sacrificed itself you can speak to it again. You can still return at any later time (e.g. after having finished all story missions) to talk to the Clapstructor again. It’s in the “Compactor” area near Trashlantis.
	Who Collects The Collector? Defeat the wandering Debt Collector.
Step 1: Finish Side Mission “Sisterly Love”. It starts in Region “The Handsome Jackpot” / Area “The Spendopticon”, just next to the fast travel point “Casa de Timothy”. Step 2: After you finished “Sisterly Love”, a robot enemy called “The Debt Collector MK II” can spawn at the location shown in the image below. It spawns exactly in this spot. However, it’s a rare random spawn. You can get one of 4 different robots: Hot Loader / Ice Loader / Shock Loader / Debt Collector. It’s just random which one and the Debt Collector is the rarest and most powerful. Quit the game to the title screen and hit continue to load it up again. Each time you do this, the robot you get changes. It took me 20 tries to get the Debt Collector to spawn (alternatively, you can also fast travel to another map and then travel back, but quit/continue is the quickest way). Don’t get confused by other robots spawning nearby. The robot you need to look out is a single one that walks alone. Always go to the same marked spot where you get a single Hot Loader / Ice Loader / Shock Loader. Also refer to the video if you want to see this in action.
