Black Myth Wukong contains 15 Seed Locations. Collecting all Seeds unlocks the Seeds to Sow trophy & achievement. Most Seeds are totally random drops from flowers and plants found in the world.
They require extensive farming depending on how lucky you are. Some of them are very rare with a low drop rate. To acquire the Seeds, you must simply pick up the plants throughout the game and be lucky enough to get the seed notification to appear on the right side of the screen which comes in a rectangular shape and says “Seed”. Plants have a 30-minute timer (real time) to respawn. Luckily, you can manually advance time in your console’s clock settings (Settings > System > Date and Time > Set Date and Time > Set Manually). So, if the Seed you need doesn’t drop, restart your game, manually change the time, restart the game and try again.
The Seeds can be given to the NPC “Chen Loong” in Zodiac Village. He will cultivate them into plants which you can harvest infinitely for resources to make medicine. At Chen Loong you can also check which Seeds you already have. After collecting all Seeds, deliver them to Chen Loong for the Graceful Orchid soak which is needed for the trophy/achievement Brewer’s Bounty.
All Seeds carry over into New Game+. The ones you already delivered to Chen Loong will still be available at him and don’t need to be found again.
Remember: ALL seeds are completely random drops (except the 3 boss drops)! The below list has the plants that can drop them but you’ll have to harvest them repeatedly every 30 minutes until they drop the seed. This is complete luck. For some players this can take 1 try, for others it can take 100+ tries. They can drop from any plant of that type. Below are example locations of each plant, but you can harvest the same plant in other locations too. As you play through the game it’s best to harvest every plant you come across in all chapters. When you only have a few seeds left focus on harvesting specifically the plants you still need.
All Seeds (alphabetical order)
Seed #1: Celestial Pear
Chapter 3 > Valley of Ecstasy > Brook of Bliss: from the Shrine, turn around and drop down the cliff at the bridge. After dropping down, immediately check your right for a tree with golden-glowing pears on it, then follow the river bank on the left side to find two more.
Seed #2: Fire Bellflower
Chapter 5 > Woods of Ember > Ashen Pass I: from the Shine, go straight ahead and you’ll find one behind a destructible fence. One more sample can be found by going straight ahead and up the stairs on the left, then straight in front of you. In the next area after crossing a wooden bridge you can find one more.
Seed #3: Fire Date
Chapter 5 > Furnace Valley > Valley Entrance: from the Shrine, go straight ahead. After coming across the shielded enemy, drop down to the right and you’ll find one sample. Then, turn around and go through the tunnel past the lava worm. Follow the lava to find a few more samples. Basically it’s found all over the lava lake after this shrine, looks like a small tree.
Seed #4: Fragrant Jade Flower
Chapter 4 > Village of Lanxi > Estate of Zhu: from the Shrine, don’t go up the stairs but flank the gate on your right and you’ll find one near the building. Then go up the stairs in front of the shrine and through the gate, immediately turn right and you’ll find another one in the corner. Enter the next area by going through a temple-looking building, behind where you fought “Second Sister” boss, then you find one more in the top right corner next to many spider webs. Drop down the hole in the middle of the area to enter the Webbed Hollow, where you land is another of these plants. Looks like a pink flower bush.
Seed #5: Gentian
Chapter 3 > Valley of Ecstasy > Forest of Felicity: from the Shrine, go behind it and down the small hill and follow the path to the lake. On your way to it you’ll find a sample of Gentian. Continue through and past the lake and you’ll find one more sample past the lightning-casting mage. To the left of this you can drop down the ledge to the lower area to find some more Gentian there.
Seed #6: Golden Lotus
Chapter 3 > Pagoda Realm > Warding Temple: from the Shrine, drop down the cliff in front of you and then slightly merge to the right and you should see a worm-like enemy going uphill. You must farm this enemy until it drops the seed. Reset the area at the Shrine to try again. You can fast travel back to the shrine using “Incense Trail Talisman” item (can slot it to the quick-select items). Alternatively, you can also find these worm-like enemies around Chapter 3 > Bitter Lake > Turtle Island.
Seed #7: Jade Lotus
Chapter 1 > Black Wind Cave > Cave Interior: Immediately after this Shrine, you will enter the boss arena where you fought the main boss “Black Wind King“. In the right corner you can find this green water lily in the pond. Additionally, also farm the area in Chapter 3 > Valley of Ecstasy > Towers of Karma: from this shrine turn right and collect all the plants in the lake. Another good farming spot is in Chapter 3 > Valley of Ecstasy > Brook of Bliss: from this shrine turn around 180° and drop down the cliff, then you find plenty Jade Lotus in the lake.
Seed #8: Licorice
Chapter 2 > Secret: Kingdom of Sahali > Sandgate Bound: Licorice plant is commonly found in the desert around this Shrine, looks like a purple flower. One also spawns in Chapter 2 > Crouching Tiger Temple > Temple Entrance: turn left of the shrine and after a few steps it will be on the right of the path.
Seed #9+10: Millenium Ginseng + Aged Ginseng
Chapter 3 > Valley of Ecstasy > Towers of Karma: Dropped by Old Ginseng Guai Boss. From the “Towers of Karma” shrine turn left and you’ll see a regular enemy with sickle weapons standing in front of a mural. To the right of him follow the path to the corner of the area, there is what looks like a little stone tower/altar. In front of this on the ground is a plant you can interact with. Pulling the plant from the ground will reveal this boss, it’s actually not a plant at all but this hidden boss buried underground. If you haven’t found Towers of Karma shrine yet, start from Forest of Felicity, go through the Torii Gate to the left, then drop down the left side to the lower area, in the back left side of the lower area is Towers of Karma shrine. It drops one seed but when given to Chen Loong it will register as two plants.
Seed #11+12: Monkey-Head Fungus + Snake-Head Mushroom
Chapter 4 > Temple of Yellow Flowers > Court of Illumination: Dropped by Fungiwoman Boss. From the “Court of Illumination” Shrine, turn around and go up the stairs directly across. When there’s a split in the path turn right, there’s a mushroom you can pull out of the ground but it’s actually this hidden boss. There’s also a Drink pickup behind this boss. It drops one seed but when given to Chen Loong it will register as two plants.
Seed #13+14: Nine-Capped Lingzhi + Purple Lingzhi
Chapter 5 > Field of Fire > Ashen Pass III: Dropped by Nine-Capped Lingzhi Guai Boss. To the right of “Ashen Pass III” shrine pull out the big red mushroom from the ground, it’s this hidden boss. It drops one seed but when given to Chen Loong it will register as two plants.
Seed #15: Tree Pearl
Chapter 3 > Valley of Ecstasy > Towers of Karma: from the Shrine, there’s a tree of this kind immediately behind you. Looks like a tree with round white fruits on it. Another one is found in the same area, behind the shrine you will find a lake, on the right side of the lake is a second tree.

It appears to be randomized every time you pick one up, so when you are trying to farm the last few remaining ones, it is slightly faster to do one at a time and make a backup save just before picking the plants and just reloading your save until you get the seeds.
CrayzdLion says
I don’t think any of the boss ones dropped for me because, except for monkey-headed fungus? Is it a random drop?
PowerPyx says
Not random. It’s normal, it shows as 1 drop from the boss. Check at Chen Loong, the one seed unlocks 2 plants.
David says
According to the inventory, I have all 15 seeds, but I didn’t get the trophy either for delivering the dragon. Could it be a bugle trophy?
Meta says
Same problem
Rick says
I double check even triple check and I confirm I have all seeds but the trophy didn’t pop.
JD says
They really couldn’t add one more to even out the sow box
orbitz says
i have the millennium ginseng seed but not the aged am i supposed to have both?
XxInsaneGaaraXx says
I noticed on every page, snake head mushroom continues to be overlooked. This plant is farmable on chapter 3. Pagoda Realm. There’s 6+ of these. Unless you can’t actually get these seeds then I would understand why they wouldn’t make the chapter 3 list.
PowerPyx says
Because it’s not farmed from plants, it’s dropped by a boss. It’s in the guide, #12.

Ohh I see. Apologies Power. Feel free to delete comment
Thanks for the content. I’ll be sure to read better next time around.
