Black Myth Wukong All Drinks Locations

August 20, 2024 by PowerPyx Leave a Comment

Black Myth Wukong contains 9 Drink Locations. Finding all of them unlocks the Brews and Barrels achievement (on Steam Only). Collecting all Gourds, Drinks, and Soaks unlocks the Brewer’s Bounty trophy & achievement (PS5/Xbox). The Drinks add different effects to your Gourd, which is used to heal yourself. This gives you more tactical freedom.

You can fast travel between chapters at any time from Keeper’s Shrines. There’s still free-roam after the story. After the endboss you are put back in the Title Screen, here choose to Continue, it will spawn you before the final boss. You can still revisit all places from this point. Just don’t “Enter a New Cycle” in the Title Screen as this starts New Game+ and overwrites your save with no way back.

Other Gourd Items:

  • Luojia Fragrant Vines (Gourd Healing Upgrades)
  • Awaken Wine Worms (Gourd Healing Upgrades)
  • Gourds
  • Soaks

Chapter 1: Black Wind Mountain

Drink #1: Coconut Wine
This is the starting drink, in your inventory from the beginning of the game. It changes names to “X-Year-Old Coconut Wine” as you upgrade it using Awaken Wine Worms. The further you upgrade it, the older the Wine will become and it restores more health per use. You upgrade the Gourd at the Shen Monkey NPC found in Chapter 1 > Bamboo Grove > Marsh of White Mist. For the Brews and Barrels trophy (collect all 9 Drinks) you DON’T need to fully upgrade this drink.

Chapter 2: Yellow Wind Ridge

Drink #2: Lambbrew
Sandgate Village > Village Entrance: From the start of Chapter 2, go up the hill path on the right where the rat archers are shooting at you. At the end of the path is a small altar with this item. This is in the area before the “Village Entrance” shrine.

Chapter 3: The New West

Drink #3: Bluebridge Romance
Bitter Lake > North Shore of the Bitter Lake: From this shrine turn around and follow the coastline until you reach a temple area. To the left is a lake, in the lake collect the golden-glowing vase.

Drink #4: Jade Essence
Valley of Ecstasy > Towers of Karma: From this shrine go left to find this in the corner of the area behind a stone pillar. To reach the Towers of Karma Shrine, start from Forest of Felicity (on main story path, unmissable), go through the gate in front of you, then drop down the left side, go to the corner of that lower area to find the shrine.

Chapter 4: The Webbed Hollow

Drink #5: Pinebrew
Bought from Shen Monkey NPC at Black Wind Mountain > Bamboo Grove > Marsh of White Mist. This becomes available for purchase at the start of Chapter 4. You can fast travel back to Shen Monkey from any shrine.

Drink #6: Worryfree Brew
Webbed Hollow > The Verdure Bridge: From Verdure Bridge take the left path over the green bridge with roots growing on it, turn left, where two lanterns are drop down the right side and go forward until you go upstairs to a village. Go up in this village until you reach a purple altar (it triggers a cutscene). To the left of the purple altar, destroy the cocoons to enter a house, interact with the tea kettle to get this drink.

Drink #7: Sunset of the Nine Skies
Temple of the Yellow Flower > Court of Illumination: from this shrine turn around and go up the stairs directly across. When there’s a split in the path turn right, at the end of that path is the drink in front of a hut.

Chapter 5: Flaming Mountains

Drink #8: Loong Balm
Furnace Valley > The Emerald Hall: After beating the Yin-Yang Fish main boss (unmissable story boss), pick up the golden drink next to the throne in the Emerald Hall.

Chapter 6: Mount Huaguo

Drink #9: A Thousand Days Inebriation
Bought from Shen Monkey NPC at Black Wind Mountain > Bamboo Grove > Marsh of White Mist. This becomes available for purchase at the start of Chapter 6. You can fast travel back to Shen Monkey from any shrine.
