Chapter 2: The Dolphin and the Diver has 23 Balan Statue Locations in Balan Wonderworld. The game has 300 Balan Statues in total. When you start the game it will show only 228 Statues in the Menu but another 72 unlock after beating the story, that’s how it’s 300 total. Finding all of them unlocks the Balan’s Happy Chappy trophy or achievement.
Some important information about the statues:
- You can’t collect all the statues immediately, some of them require costumes found in later levels.
- You can change your costumes at each checkpoint by holding any of the 4 face buttons and entering the changing room, you will however need to have some spare costumes collected in the level the costume appeared in, if a costume gets replaced in your inventory of 3 in a level, it will end up in your wardrobe.
- There are 12 Chapters and each is divided into 4 Acts. The 4th Act (actually called “Secret Act 3” in-game) only unlocks after finishing the story!
- Most Statues are hidden in the world. The rest is for completing Balan’s Bout with a score of excellent (4 perfect hits in the minigame). You start this minigame by collecting a golden hat in each Act.
- Each boss fight has 3 statues which you unlock by hitting them with 3 different methods, these are listed below as well.
- During the story collect what you find on your own, then unlock Balan’s Costume after the story, it allows you to fly around to reach all Collectibles easily.
Chapter 2: The Dolphin and the Diver
Act 1
Statue 1 – In plain sight, impossible to overlook.
Statue 2 – Head to the back right section and navigate to the top of the ruins. Use Air Cat from Chapter 6-1 for easiest time. There you will find both Statues 2 and 3. You will reach Statue 3 first and heading a bit back will lead you to Statue 2.

Statue 4 – Use Soaring Sheep from Chapter 4-1 to float across to it using the wind.
Statue 5 – It is in the area with the rotating cubes, very easy to spot.
Statue 6 – Very easy to spot as well, near the end of the level.
Statue 7 – As always, get all EXCELLENT in Balan’s Bout to earn it.
Act 2
Statue 1 -Basically impossible to not see it on your first playthrough.
Statue 2 – On the ruins far away on the right side. You will need Float Flower from Chapter 7-1 to reach it.
Statue 3 – Use Telepotter to teleport behind the corals.
Statue 4 – Get to it by jumping up there from the top of the moving cube.
Statue 5 – On top of the ship towards the end of the level.
Statue 6 -At the very end of the level instead of using the exit use the water drafts to reach the top of the stone architecture there.
Statue 7 – As always, get all EXCELLENT in Balan’s Bout to earn it.
Act 3 – Boss
- Using Jellyjolt shoot the electric jellyfishes back at the boss.
- Using Dynamic Dolphin jump into the stream that the boss will lower on you to hit her, only jump once into the stream, don’t jump again while in it.
- Hit one of the rolling balls back at her.
Secret Act 3
Colored Statue 1 – On top of the ruins at the beginning of the level.
Colored Statue 2 -Behind the starting point of the level you will have to hit an enemy who keeps running away from you for it to appear.
Colored Statue 3 – On the left side of stage you will need to use Inky Blaster to shoot the 2 paintings for it to appear.
Colored Statue 4 -Behind the see-through crystal on the right side of the stage.
Colored Statue 5 -Both 5 and 6 can be found behind the level exit, by exploring the ruins there.
Colored Statue 6 – Both 5 and 6 can be found behind the level exit, by exploring the ruins there.
