Balan Wonderworld: Chapter 1 Balan Statue Locations

Chapter 1: The Man Who Rages Against the Storm contains 23 Balan Statue Locations in Balan Wonderworld. The game has 300 Balan Statues in total. When you start the game it will show only 228 Statues in the Menu but another 72 unlock after beating the story, that’s how it’s 300 total. Finding all of them unlocks the Balan’s Happy Chappy trophy or achievement.

Some important information about the statues:

• You can’t collect all the statues immediately, some of them require costumes found in later levels.
• You can change your costumes at each checkpoint by holding any of the 4 face buttons and entering the changing room, you will however need to have some spare costumes collected in the level the costume appeared in, if a costume gets replaced in your inventory of 3 in a level, it will end up in your wardrobe.
• There are 12 Chapters and each is divided into 4 Acts. The 4th Act (actually called “Secret Act 3” in-game) only unlocks after finishing the story!
• Most Statues are hidden in the world. The rest is for completing Balan’s Bout with a score of excellent (4 perfect hits in the minigame). You start this minigame by collecting a golden hat in each Act.
• Each boss fight has 3 statues which you unlock by hitting them with 3 different methods, these are listed below as well.
• During the story collect what you find on your own, then unlock Balan’s Costume after the story, it allows you to fly around to reach all Collectibles easily.

Chapter 1: The Man Who Rages Against the Storm

Act 1

Statue 1 – Just after opening the first gate.

Statue 2 – You will need Web Wrangler from Stage 3-1 for it. Once you have it unlocked climb the webs on the left side wall.

Statue 3 – Using Jumping Jack get through the mirror on the right side of the 2nd area to find it on the stone blocks.

Statue 4 – After getting through the first mirror in the level, go around the corner, behind the mirrors and use Jumping Jack to float across to the moving platform.

Statue 5 – You will need Tornado Wolf, a bit farther on the left side as well, use Tornado Wolf to destroy the block and the Statue will be behind it.

Statue 6 – On top of the stone architecture with the spider webs on it, you will need Gear Prince from Chapter 6-1 to get it.

Statue 7 – Finish Balan’s Bout with 4x Excellent Score to unlock it.

Act 2

Statue 1 – At the beginning of the level on the left.

Statue 2 – You will need Gear Prince from Chapter 6-1 to move the platform, which will make the statue reachable.

Statue 3 – Where the rolling boulder came from.

Statue 4 – Using Pounding Pig drop on the pillars to reach it.

Statue 5 – For both statue 5 and 6 the Air Cat from Chapter 6-2 is perfect. Additionally for statue 5 use Throw Sickle from Chapter 3-2 to destroy the stone blocking your way.

Statue 6 – Use Air Cat to reach the corn field, floating from the lower level up there.

Statue 7 – Finish Balan’s Bout with 4x Excellent Score to unlock it.

Act 3 – Boss

1. Hit the boss with Tornado Wolf attack after he butt-slams
2. Using Stomping Pig drop on the pillar once they appear
3. Hit a tornado back at him

Secret Act 3

Colored Statue 1 – I would recommend getting all the colored statues with Balan to make it easier. The first one will be on top of the first castle wall.

Colored Statue 2 -Second one on a platform on the left after the first wall.

Colored Statue 3 – Same as number 2, just a few jumps away.

Colored Statue 4 -On a floating rock on the right side of the stage.

Colored Statue 5 – From number 4 keep going to the floating island to find it behind a wall.

Colored Statue 6 – Just a bit higher from the last one, also on the floating island.
