Are you wondering who is The Father in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla?
The Father is the Leader of the Order of Ancients in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). His identity is only revealed after defeating the 44 Order Members leading up to him.
The Father is King Aelfred.
He inherited the title of Grand Master of the Ancient Order from his brother. But Aelfred never liked the Order or what they stand for. So he hatched a plan to destroy them. He sent tips about Order Members’ identities to The Hidden Ones (Hytham and the Assassins). Aelfred, the leader of the order, was the one sending you and Hytham tips about The Order all along! This is all revealed when you defeat the other members. After defeating the other members, Hytham will stand in front of the Longhouse of your settlement. He received a letter of his informant, promising information on who The Father is. So Hytham sends you to meet with the informant in a little village in Hamtunscire. There “the informant”, King Aelfred, will meet you. He reveals that he lives in this village in exile now and he was the one sending you tips about the Order. Aelfred poses no risk and is glad that the Hidden Ones defeated his Order. Eivor lets him live out his days in exile.

This story ending is terrible, the worst I have seen and is a shame because I was looking forward to it. After King Aelfred killed Eivor friends, he then talks to Aelfred like nothing happened and suddenly friend’s then lets him live… Very disappointed

Dang I didn’t realize how bad the ending was, I honestly liked the game gameplay wise.

Isn’t this partially similar to Odyssey?
Quite disappointing.

With Odyssey, I atleast was a bit surprised the leader was who it was. I thought it was hee husband, atleast til he died, then didn’t have a good idea til you found out.
In Valhalla tho, I figured it would be Alfred from the start. Had a little doubt when the Wessex arc happened, but not much. The story telling has really fallen off in the games.
