The Hunting Grounds is a Main Quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Hunting Grounds Quest.
Region: Vinland
Quest Giver: Hytham
Requirement: Arrive in Vinland
Recommended Level: 0 (any level)
Reward: 3400 XP, 25 Leather, 1 Carbon Ingot, 40 Iron Ore
Mission Info: Eivor, disguised as a common sailor, arrives in Vinland to search for Gorm.
Objectives:
- Find Clues to Gorm’s Whereabouts
- Rumors heard around the port might reveal some information
- Gorm locked Olav in the storehouse
- Gorm and Olal fought in the storehouse
- Olav might know Gorm’s location
- The trail leads northwest from the port
- Search for Gorm
- Follow the village leader
- Walk with Olav
Find Clues to Gorm’s Whereabouts
As soon as you arrive in Vinland you automatically talk to a woman called Hilde who wants to put you to work. But you’re really just there to find and kill Gorm, an Order of the Ancients member. This quest doesn’t give you exact waypoint markers so it can seem almost as if it’s bugged, but this is intentional.
If you were to scan ( 
/ 
) the port area you’d see some green highlighted interaction points where you can eavesdrop on people talking about Gorm and Olav to gather clues. But this is unnecessary as we can skip straight ahead to Olav’s location to advance the quest.
Save yourself some work and head to Olav’s location shown below:
As you approach you’ll see a quest marker come up on some women standing in a circle. Talk to them to advance.
Follow the village leader
Follow the village leader woman. She’ll have a quest marker on her. Just follow her to the right, through a waterfall into a cave. Below is the end location where she’ll stop. You’ll meet Olav there.
Walk with Olav
After talking to Olav (I picked dialogue “Gorm owes me a debt”), go walk with him and the quest will end when he finishes walking.
This finishes The Hunting Grounds quest in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). Now the next quest Hunter of Beasts will start where you must find Gorm (again without quest markers). See Gorm Location.

I forgot to save and now I can’t go back, but what happens if you interact with the wall in the after killing Form and not (yet) giving the apple of Eden to the tribe lady???
*in the cave after killing Gorm.
He looks at the apple and the wall, seeing a empty keyhole that looks to fit the sphere/apple of eden. But thankfully he doesn’t put it in “this is not for me” he says. He walks away and leave.
I seem to be stuck. Olav won’t talk to me. No speak option. And nothing to follow.
Any suggestions.
