Rygjafylke contains 13 Mysteries in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Rygjafylke Mysteries Walkthrough will guide you through all Mystery Locations in the Rygjafylke Territory in Norway. None of the Mysteries are missable, you can still find everything in free-roam after the story. It’s recommended to collect everything as you go through the regions to level up.
Mysteries get marked by blue icons on the world map automatically when synchronizing the viewpoints. Mysteries are side quests and other open world encounters. They include the following types: Cairns, Offering Altars, Flytings, Treasures of Britain, World Events, Legendary Animals, Lost Drengrs, Daughters of Lerion, Animus Anomalies, Fly Agarics, Standing Stones. Finishing all Mysteries is needed to complete all Territories for the Completionist All the Way! trophy or achievement.
Also in this region:
Mystery #1 – World Event (The Silver-Tongued Traitor)
Speak to Sulke and eventually he will run off and you have to chase him. It’s best to mount your horse for this and follow him out onto the snow. Eventually after following him for a short while he will stop and a cutscene will play. He’ll give you a Bloody Key and you can return to where you found him and open the chest.
Mystery #2 – Flyting (Manning, Fighter of Wolves)
Engage in Flyting. The three selections you should pick are:
- What you make up in muscles, you’re lacking in spine.
- They seem perfectly placed to give children a scare.
- No, you’re quite like your arms: just incredibly thick.
Mystery #3 – World Event (Raider Recruit)
Talk to the old man and follow him to the docks, where you will engage in two fist fights. The first is against two opponents, then the third is a one-on-one. Both are easy if you stick to dodging and then countering with punches of your own. You can also heal at any time. Once you win the second fight, you’ll get your reward.
Mystery #4 – World Event (The Hunt for Honor)
You’ll need to find a wolf and bring it back to the man so he can kill it. Head slightly north east from the quest start point to find a clearing with three wolves. Get their attention and run back to the man, who will then fight one. It won’t end well for him and the mission will end, so you can either finish the job yourself or just leave.
Mystery #5 – World Event (The Plight of the Warlock)
Follow the Hunter down the road to the south-east where you will come across a house (shown by the green character icon in the screenshots below). Speak to the Warlock and you’ll hear the other side of the story. The two will then fight and you can choose to kill either, or let the fight play out yourself. Whichever you choose, loot the body/bodies to claim your reward.
Mystery #6 – Legendary Animal (Elk of Bloody Peaks)
You will fight this Legendary Beast in single combat. You can use the tried-and-tested dodge and attack method, but the best way to deal damage is to use your bow and target the weak spot on its side, just above the legs. It’ll collapse to the ground, allowing you to do a stun attack with and deal significant damage.
Mystery #7 – World Event (The Dreamwalking Warrior)
Talk to the sleeping warrior and follow him as he slowly walks through the snow to a zipline. After he uses it, follow him down and talk to him to complete this.
Mystery #8 – World Event (Comb of Champions)
A poem on the bench next to the quest giver offers a hint that the comb is located near the waterfall. Head into the lake and dive down next to the furthest rock in the lake (location shown as the green arrow below) and keep diving down into the hole you find. Use Odin’s Sight to make the comb show up as a white glimmer and pick it up, then return to the woman.
Mystery #9 – Lost Drengr (Erik Loyalskull)
If you are cleaning up these Mysteries the first time you play through each region, it’s recommended to come back later for this one as at low Power level, it’s likely the Drengr will murder you even on Easy difficulty. It’s recommended to at least have Power 50 before you fight him.
Make sure you come into the fight with as many rations as you can carry. The key to success is parrying, as if you deplete his stamina bar you can do a stun attack with which takes off half of his health. Do not play aggressive as he will parry you and counter. Dodge his axe-throwing attack (shown by the red indicator above his head) and parry the attacks that have an orange glow. After every parry, hit him with a couple of light attacks but don’t get greedy or he’ll counter. Whittle down his stamina until you can use the special and you should be nearly done.
Mystery #10 – World Event (Old Man on the Edge)
Help the man throw the crates off the cliff. Pick them up with and then aim over the cliff with and throw with .
Mystery #11 – Fly Agaric
Firstly, read the note on the bench and then eat the hallucogenic mushroom. There are 6 gates in the circle, and you must pass through 3 in order (according to the note). Firstly, go through the gate next to the statue of Thor (he’s wielding the hammer), then Freyja (the only female statue) and then finally the All-Father (the only gate left with a statue next to it).
Mystery #12 – World Event (A Desperate Bounty)
Follow the man north to a forest area where bandits spring a trap that even Stevie Wonder could see coming. Kill them all, including a Cuthroat who likes to kick sand in your face with a special attack, then speak to the man to complete this.
Mystery #13 – World Event (A New England)
Follow the man around the island on your tour of ‘England’. Eventually you’ll have to interact with a dummy and you’ll get another cutscene. A dialogue choice will pop up, so pick either and you’ll finish this Mystery.
That’s 100% of the Mysteries you can find in Rygjafylke Region of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV).

I lost the first fight in (Raider Rectuit) mission but still managed to get this mystery done on world map (required for completionist trophy)
So i really want to know what was the reward for winning?
Sachin Hegde says
Just some silver and xp… nothing much significant.
Miriella23 says
Is there any way to see which “side quests” have been picked up and are still to be completed, similarly I’ve picked up a few tasks in Stavanger for people such as collecting deer antlers and another to collect wood. Is there anywhere this can be tracked.
Wodaman says
On the Lost Drengr, I was able to beat him around power level 9 or so. Stumbled right into him after seeing the seer. I forced him up against the wall where he was no longer able to throw those endless axes and he was no longer able to parry most blows, then I just pounded on him and he went down in short order.
It was my third attempt and I was surprised to win; I had just about decided I would have to come back later.
Stine Lund says
I can’t figure out the little boy who wants to raid…
Charlie says
You have to do a play raid. A short distance away there’s an old battlement. You have to “kill” the dummies there, smash up the crates and open a treasure chest.
Aero_X_999 says
For #1, you can just kill him just to complete the world event and you’ll still get his key anyways.
Jaymo says
A Desperate Bounty has glitched to hell for me, the guy is dead, haven’t even started the mystery and the guy is dead
Dai says
What happens if I killed Manning, Fighter of Wolves before I new I had to flyte with him. As he hasnt come back to life and now I can’t complete the quest.
Dee says
On Hunt for Honor, I happened to be power 300 and just hit the wolf once to lower the hp and the guy was able to kill the wolf. There was dialogue for him after he claims his honor and Eivor even gives him a title, so no, he doesn’t have to die if you give him a bit of help
CP says
I actually led a polar bear over since I killed the wolves on my way to him… Obviously had to help him with that fight, but he did get the last hit in so his title was “Bears-Bane” which I must assume is different than if he killed a wolf.
Kimberly M says
On mystery #4 you can disarm yourself and fist fight the wolf until there is one hit left, keep it distracted and then the man can kill it.
Larry says
Is Mild Hunt not required for the trophy? I’m having great difficulty getting deer antlers.
cory kleckner says
