Mjolnir (Thor’s Hammer) is a secret weapon in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This guide shows how to get Mjolnir and where to find its location.
There are a few steps to this. You must get the full Thor’s Armor Set first (All 5 Pieces) to be able to pick up Mjolnir. Without the full armor set you won’t be able to interact with the weapon. You must also play through the story first because Mjolnir is located in the very north of Norway where you can’t go until the end of the game.
- First, you must defeat the 3 Daughters of Lerion (3 Thor’s Armor Pieces)
- Then you must get Thor’s Helmet from a Cave in East Anglia (4th Thor’s Armor Piece).
- Eliminate all 45 Order of the Ancients Members. Then return to Hytham at the Hidden Ones Bureau and he’ll give you Thor’s Cloak as a reward (5th Armor Piece).
- Finish the story.
- Now you can reach the very northern edge of Norway (inacessible until end of story). With the full Thor’s Armor Set equipped you can pick up Thor’s Hammer, Mjolnir.
Step 1: Defeat 3 Daughters of Lerion
They are World Events marked by blue dots on the map. They are high level witches that you must defeat in combat. Just parry their attacks and counter-attack (dodge unblockable red rune attacks).
#1 – Goneril: Grantebridgescire
#2 – Cordelia: East Anglia
#3 – Regan: East Anglia
Step 2: Get Thor’s Helmet
You must use the 3 daggers that you got from the Daughters of Lerion in an underground cave in East Anglia. There’s a statue where you can put in the swords. It will reveal some stairs leading to Thor’s Helmet.

Step 3: Defeat Order of the Ancients
Refer to the guide linked below for all 45 of them.

This is a bit time-consuming and you’ll pretty much have to beat the story for some of them. After defeating all 45, return to Hytham at the Hidden Ones Bureau in your settlement. He give you Thor’s Cloak as a reward.
Step 4: Finish Story
You must advance to the end of the story (at least until you completed 15 of 16 regions’ stories in England). Then the story will take you back to Norway. Now the very northern edge of Norway becomes acccessible, this is where Thor’s Hammer is located!
Step 5: Get Mjolnir (Thor’s Hammer)
Equip the full Thor’s Armor Set. To recap, you got 3 pieces from the Lerion Daughters, 1 from the Cave, 1 from defeating the Order of the Ancients.
Now head to the Mjolnir Location in the very north of Norway. It’s at the very end of the path shown below (between some rocks):
When you have the full Thor’s Armor Set on you can pull Thor’s Hammer from the Stone. This also unlocks the Worthy trophy or achievement.
And that’s how you get Mjolnir in AC Valhalla.

Do you mean you can’t fast travel to Norway?
If you mean that, go to your map, press triangle (or look to the bottom left for ”Atlas”) click that button and then you can fast travel to Norway.

You don’t have to finish the story mode to reach the hammer, I came back to Norway after the first couple regions in England to clear the map and stumbled upon Mjolnir.
No you’re completely wrong. I also went early there and found the hammer but we can’t take. We need to complete the whole story then only we can unlock it.
Correct I did the same. Just couldn’t pick up the hammer yet.
How can I get the last clue to unlock the father?

So yo I got all the armor but it won’t let me interact with the hammer
Do you have the armor equipped? Got Thor’s Cloak too from defeating all Ancients?
Same, i have all the thor gear and it doesn’t give me the option to interact with the hammer
I’m thinking just maybe the new patch 1.04 messed something up? I haven’t heard of anyone having issues with it before. Now 2 reports in 1 day following this patch.
When you have all Thor gear pieces equipped it should let you pick it up just fine, as shown in the guide and video. If not it has to be bugged.
It must be. I have it all equiped and have tried restarting the game and the playstation anda it just doesn’t work. I guess i’ll have to wait
I hate that you get one of the best weapons in the game after completing the story. Why can’t we get it in the beginning or at least in the middle of the game?
You can get Excalibur earlier than this. And this game has DLC stories so just use the weapons in DLC haha
Is there any clue about thor hammer in the game i mean do we have in game text or clues which suggest that there is a thor hammer is there any surprising element in game which suggest players about this secret
There is a tip while in loading screens talking about legendary weapons from the gods but that’s all I know of
Its Assassins Creed, you can literally use the 1st weapon you pick up for the entire game.
I mean it would be nice if they at least pretended this for anything but a random achievement, but such is life.
