In Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, some quests or collectibles require you to destroy a breakable wall or floor. They usually look like a lot of rubble blocking a door or floor hatch.
In most cases when you encounter one of these breakable walls or floors, there will usually be a cache of oil jars or ‘fire pots’ nearby. They’re distinctively red and have a slight flame on top, and when they are thrown (using L2/LT to aim and R2/RT to throw the pot) they will explode most satisfyingly. They are quite heavy so if you’re having to throw them from a great height/distance make sure to adjust your aim above your target to get the arc correct.
There are some locations however where there are no oil jars / fire pots in the area, or you may have already destroyed them. Alternatively you can also use the Incendiary Powder Trap Ranged Ability, which can be found in the Walden Monastery in Grantebridgescire.
This will require one bar of Adrenaline, but there are times where this is the only option, or it might save you a lot of extra hassle carrying a fire pot over difficult terrain or through enemies. It’s basically AC Valhalla’s Version of Incendiary Arrows / Explosive Arrows. Either way it’s worth having the ability to save you from having to leave and return later.
