Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Hordafylke Mysteries Walkthrough

November 9, 2020 by JoeApsey00 11 Comments

Hordafylke contains 7 Mysteries in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Hordaylke Mysteries Walkthrough will guide you through all Mystery Locations in the Hordafylke Territory. None of the Mysteries are missable, you can still find everything in free-roam after the story. It’s recommended to collect everything as you go through the regions to level up.

Mysteries get marked by blue icons on the world map automatically when synchronizing the viewpoints. Mysteries are side quests and other open world encounters. They include the following types: Cairns, Offering Altars, Flytings, Treasures of Britain, World Events, Legendary Animals, Lost Drengrs, Daughters of Lerion, Animus Anomalies, Fly Agarics, Standing Stones. Finishing all Mysteries is needed to complete all Territories for the Completionist All the Way! trophy or achievement.

Also in this region:

  • Hordafylke Wealth
  • Hordafylke Artifacts

Note: The northern part of Hordafylke cannot be visited until the end of the story. The Animus Anomaly also doesn’t spawn until end of the story. You can’t complete this region during your first visit to Norway.

Mystery #1: Cairn

The first Hordafylke Mystery can be found in the West of the region, next to Torgharren Rock. As you head up towards the waypoint, you will notice a small outcrop of rock about two levels up. Climb up to here and interact with the Cairn to build the rocks high enough and complete the mystery.

One of the combinations for this cairn can be found below:

Mystery #2: Fly Agaric

When you arrive at the location, interact with the mushrooms and 4 powerful enemies will spawn. You must defeat them to complete the challenge. Level 300+ is recommended for this. Even on easy difficulty they are quite challenging because there are 4 of them attacking you at the same time. Return for this after the story when you are sufficiently leveled.

Mystery #3: Animus Anomaly

This Animus Anomaly only spawns much later, at the end of the story. It won’t show up during your first visit to Norway so you must come back for it later. Animus Anomalies are platforming challenges. When you arrive at the location, interact with the orb there and it will spawn a blue platforming section in front of you. Reach the top and avoid the red hazard points.

Mystery #4: Legendary Animal (Bear of the Blue Waters)

This mystery requires you to defeat a level 310 bear (Alpha Animal). It’s too far north to reach during the Prologue so you must come back for it after the story when this region has opened up.

Mystery #5: Lost Drengr (Orwig Neverdeath)

This only unlocks later at the end of the story. There’s a viking standing on a cliff at the Mystery location. Talk to him and choose to fight him. He’s level 370 but you can just push him off the cliff to kill him instantly. No big challenge. You can’t reach him during the prologue, so come back for him after the story.

Mystery #6: World Event (The Rekindling)

This world event can be found in the town of Alrekstad, in the Eastern corner of the region. In the town, standing outside a house, you will find a woman you can talk to who will talk about her waning relationship. After talking to her, go inside her house and complete actions that follow their dialogue.

Firstly, destroy some of the environment, wooden blockades vases, and boxes, using your sword. Next, they will ask you to burn their house down. Stand next to the flaming pillar in the back of the room and aim your bow next to it to light the arrow on fire. Turn around and shoot the straw on the floor to begin the blaze. You will then get a key to open the chest inside the house and complete the World Event.

Mystery #7: World Event (Battle Born)

This world event is in the far East, past the town of Alrekstad and along the main road which leads to a dead end. Talk to the child by the post and head back down the road, taking a left as you get to the first tree on your left. This path will lead you to a small ruined hut, which the children are using to practice raiding. Once here you need to complete three separate tasks.

  • Hit all 4 of the mannequins with your weapon
  • Destroy some of the boxes and vases in the house
  • Open the chest on the right side of the hut, which is on the wooden platform.

Once all three of these tasks have been completed, Kaija will meet you out the front of the house and upon talking to them you will complete the World Event.

That’s 100% of the Mysteries you can find in Hordafylke Region of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV).

Orwig Neverdeath is accessible before the story ends. I just killed him at lvl 33 after a very very very long dragged out fight where my controller died twice lol.

The anamoly is glitced for me. When I get to the first set of 2 lasers where you have to jump back and forth for them I can’t interact with the first later to move it after reaching the second one.

Somehow I glitched the Mystery #6 by looting the chest before finding the children, so now I can’t complete that mystery or get 100%. That’s pretty irritating.

Interesting! I should retry the Lost Drengr fight (if Ubisoft adds the New Game Plus mode) and then try the Spartan Kick on him and see if he does die immediately after flying off the cliff. This will probably be the only 1-hit kill boss in the entire game!

Oh, and you don’t have to wait until the end of the game to fight the Lost Drengr. On my playthough, I went back to Norway just midway thru my game and he challenged me when I climbed up to his area of the cliff.

I bullrushed Orwig Neverdeath in the fight. It was so glorious! But, I also fell down and just barely survived.

It seemed like you were supposed to do exactly that, so hats off to those who actually fought him normally.

I have three mysteries I cannot complete even though iam on the latest patch 1.1.0

    youtu.be/aung4GmkNYk

    youtu.be/husP-vRF4UA

    youtu.be/5aPCR5Y8Bd4

It looks like those 3 mysteries has lock me out from completing them.

I have tried, reloading the pervious save its still the same.
I have manual save and restart the game n reload the save is still the same
I have tried to uninstall the game n try to run pre patch, but my save is shown as corrupted

Iam out of ideas I can’t be doing another play through jus because this 3 screwed me over for the plat

On the one you have listed as no.6 there was no lady to be found anywhere, finally walked in the house where a couple were making out on a bench. Just started the floor on fire after busting the place up and then was able to open the chest.

For The Rekindling the same happened to me, the lady never appeared, sooo I started destroying stuff and then lit the floor on fire and BAM the couple appeared and I was able to complete the Mystery, was worried it bugged out and this is as of 1/1/2021.
