Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Essexe Mysteries Walkthrough

November 8, 2020 by FranciRoosters 17 Comments

Essexe contains 12 Mysteries in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV). This Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Essexe Mysteries Walkthrough will guide you through all Mystery Locations in the Essexe Territory. None of the Mysteries are missable, you can still find everything in free-roam after the story. It’s recommended to collect everything as you go through the regions to level up.

Mysteries get marked by blue icons on the world map automatically when synchronizing the viewpoints. Mysteries are side quests and other open world encounters. Finishing all Mysteries is needed to complete all Territories for the Completionist All the Way! trophy or achievement.

Also in this region:

  • Essexe Wealth
  • Essexe Artifacts

Mystery #1: World Event (Take Me a Husband)

Talk to the woman. The woman wants you to kidnap a man who lives in a house around the area with red flowers nearby. Ride up the hill to notice a house surrounded by red flowers and a man by a well. Talk to him. This will initiate a fist fight. Beat him and tie him up, then bring him to the woman’s house downhill.

Mystery #2: World Event (The Banshee)

Talk to the grieving man in the hideout. Shoot an arrow at the barricade above his red tent. Now kill him and collect his loot to complete this Mystery.

Mystery #3: Treasure of Britain

Progress through the cave until you see a branch you can swing off from. Either go left or right until you can progress further into the cave. Continue along the path and you will eventually reach a cellar with a lot of big barrels you can interact with. The Treasure is sitting under a crate. You need to open enough barrels by shooting an arrow at their locks. Doing so will fill the floor with enough wine to make the Treasure come up.

Mystery #4: Flyting

Here are the solutions:

  1. For they put all who hear them to sleep.
  2. I’ll defeat you and banish all doubt.
  3. Lend a salve, for your words make me ill.

Mystery #5: Fly Agaric

Interact with each flame. Facing the gate, here’s the solution from left to right: blue, red, red, blue, blue, red

Mystery #6: World Event (Mother)

Kill the wolves at the location, then go up the roof and pick up the pretty flowers. These will trigger the chance to speak with the man inside the house. Talk to the man inside and choose any dialogue option to end this Mystery.

Mystery #7: World Event (The Riddler)

Talk to the man. He has 3 riddles for you. Here are the riddles and their solutions:

  1. My head is forged with the hammer, hurt with sharp tools, smoothed by flies. I take in my mouth what is set before me: a lock and key.
  2. I saw a strange thing, wonderful of shape, singing in a tavern. Its beak underneath, stood upon splayed legs that cannot walk: bagpipes.
  3. With my roofs of tears, I am driven far and wide on my avenging path. When I shake the forest, I rumble the fruit from the trees: a storm.

Mystery #8: Offering Altar

To complete this Mystery, you need 50 Iron Ore. These are easily found in caves, especially those leading to Treasures of Britain. You can also spot Ore in mountainous areas using your Raven.

Mystery #9: World Event (The Prodigy)

Talk to the man, then the bishop opposite him. Beat him to end this Mystery.

Mystery #10: World Event (Devil’s Hole)

Talk to the man. Enter the cave and talk to the man by the armor. You can choose to spare or kill. Go back to the man outside the cave to end this Mystery.

Mystery #11: World Event (The Gleewoman)

Free the woman and talk to her. The woman will start cheerleading you. She wants you to kill an enemy. There are some wild boars in the vicinity. After a while, she will stop and you are presented with three choices, but to end this Mystery you must pay her the highest sum (165 coins).

Mystery #12: World Event (The Boar with the Golden Nose)

Talk to the Boarmaster. Now follow the boar and examine the ground when the boar stops. Pick up the first “treasure” and then follow the boar again. When the boar stops, examine the ground again. Repeat the same for a third time. After collecting the third treasure, follow the boar once again, but this time be ready to fight off some thugs trying to kill it. Now collect the fourth treasure next to the boar to end this Mystery.

That’s 100% of the Mysteries you can find in Essexe Region of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla (ACV).

For all other Mysteries check out the complete Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Mysteries Guide. For the other Collectibles in this region check out the Wealth Guide and Artifacts Guide.

Did the same, completed the remaining mystery (just had the boar one left) and went back to the guy, got extra dialog from Eivor and was able to interact with him

It happened to me or so I thought when I approached from the opposite direction of the guy and the talk icon was there. Phew.

I friend of mine had to go back and download a previous save 2 days back. Not an option for me

The boar has stopped right over the 3rd treasure location so I can’t interact with it

Luckily reloading an earlier autosave fixed it

You can follow the boar when the event is over and talk to the boarmaster again…

Unfortunately you can’t get Lady Trotters to your settlement. 🙁

In regards to the “devils hole” mystery if you side with the cave dweller, you can also lure a wolf to the group outside to scare them away as an alternate to killing and probably the best solution.

You can also use the ability Raven Distraction so there is no chance that the civilians will get hurt.

The Gleewoman event has glitched on me. After I started the quest I gave her the smallest amount of money. Then she kept following me. I couldn’t get her next dialogue to trigger. I continued playing and now she has completely vanished, but the world event icon is still where she originally spawns. She is not present at the original location where she was tied up. I’ve fast traveled and reloaded saves and tried various things to get her to spawn, but nothing is working. I’m 50 hours into the game and it looks like the only solution is to start a new game. I am absolutely gutted.

Same has happened to me, no fix yet but I’m 95 hours in so restarting isn’t a real option!

Same has happened to me and I’m 130 hours deep and it’s the last trophy I need for platinum!!

Solved it. Ride your ship and park outside the tower, then fast travel to a city (not a port). Then fast travel back to your ship and she should be back tied up. Good luck folks

Mystery #1. I give the lady her red head, but game glitches and says “You must be anonymous”.

I’m as anonymous as you can get. Ugh
