Silver Smugglers (Silver and Teppo) is a side quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Silver Smugglers mission including Silver Smugglers member locations. There are 6 members of the Silver Smugglers total which you must defeat as part of the quest.

- Quest Description: Yasuke and Naoe track down a group of smugglers trading stolen silver for teppo.
Assassinate the Silver Smugglers
Speak to Hosokawa Fujitaka identified by the “!” icon at Tamba > Miyazu Vale > Sukyoji Temple.
Then, track this quest from the Objectives Board. Scroll to the People of Tamba and select the quest below Hosokawa Fujitaka.
Silver Smuggler Member 1: The Teppo Merchant
Rewards: 2000 EXP, 2 Mastery Points, The Trading Seal (Epic Teppo), Business Proposal (Quest Item), 225 Mon
Location: Tamba > Fukuchiyama > Fukuchiyama Castle
Assassinate the Teppo Merchant
Sneak to the southwest corner of the Fukuchiyama Castle and take out the Teppo Merchant.
Silver Smuggler Member 2: The Teppo Smuggler
Rewards: 2000 EXP, 2 Mastery Points, Mai’s Warning (Epic Teppo), Adrenaline over Half Health, 385 Mon
Location: Tamba > Yakami > Yakami Fort
Assassinate the teppo smuggler
The Teppo Smuggler is just north of the viewpoint in Yamaki Fort.
An easy way to deal with him is to climb the wall on the east side of the fort and find this spot overlooking the training ground.
Use a Kunai to take out one of the guards around the teppo smuggler.
This coaxes the teppo smuggler over to your position. Use this as an opportunity to assassinate him.
Silver Smuggler Member 3: The Teppo Interrogator
Rewards: 2000 EXP, 2 Mastery Points, Silver Ace (Epic Katana), Damage with Ability (Engraving), Spy Warning (quest item), 270 Mon
Contact Fujitaka’s man
Location: Tamba > Miyazu Bay > Onitake Shrine
Find Fujitaka’s man south of the Mount Akaiwa viewpoint.
Find the man slain in the road.
Examine the ambush site
Interact with the slain man.
Follow the blood trail
Head west up the path.
Search the cave
Just inside the cave, leap down into the water, then descend further into the cave.
When the cave opens up, look to your left to see a swinging point. Use that to reach the ledge to your left.
Take out the guy there. Then, stand over the Teppo Interrogator and whistle for him. The other nearby guards don’t hear it.
When he comes up, take him out.
You get the quest item “Spy Warning,” which tells you about the Teppo Slaver.
Silver Smuggler Member 4: The Slaver
Rewards: 2000 EXP, 2 Mastery Points, Nanban’s Curse (Epic Teppo), Critical Chance with Ability (Engraving), Invitation to Genbao Fort (quest item), 235 Mon
Track down the slaver
Location: Wakasa > Sotomo Gate > Tsuruga Sea Port
Sneak into the southernmost house in the port and find this letter, “Setting Sail Soon.”
Assassinate the slaver
Swim out into the water to the large ship just off port.
Climb up from the northeast side to come up right behind him.
Jump onto the ship and take him out before anyone catches you.
You automatically pick up a letter, “Invitation to Genbao Fort.” This shows you where the Silver Trader is found.
Silver Smuggler Member 5: The Silver Trader
Rewards: 2000 EXP, 2 Mastery Points, Woe’s Fog (Legendary Kanabo), Buildup on Block (Engraving), Stay Clear of the Tavern (quest item), 310 Mon
Assassinate the silver trader
Location: Wakasa > Mount Uchinakao > Genbao Tenshu
Find the Silver Trader just south of the Genbao Fort viewpoint.
Taking him out yields the “Stay Clear of the Tavern” quest item. This tells you where to look for the Smuggler Leader.
Silver Smuggler Member 6: The Smuggler Leader
Rewards: 2000 EXP, 2 Mastery Points, Glimmering Sway (Epic Naginata), Melee Bleed Afflication (Engraving, 255 Mon
Investigate the brewery
Location: Harima > Himeji
Find the brewery right by the south entrance to the Himeji Castle.
Inside the brewery, climb up the ladder to the left.
There, find a letter on a table, called “Away on Urgent Business.”
Assassinate the smuggler leader
Head to just north of the Himeji Castle to find Mai’s Mansion.
Her mansion is not hostile. So you can just walk up to her.
She speaks to you, and you can wait for her to finish if you wish. If you wait for her, she attacks you.
Once defeated, she leaves a letter on the porch.
Pick it up to receive “Unsent Letter to Yoshisada.” You need it for the next step of the quest.
Reveal the truth to Fujitaka
Location: Tamba > Miyazu Bay > Sukyoji Temple
Talk to Fujitaka when you reach the temple.
Since you picked up the “Unsent Letter to Yoshisada” after killing the Smuggler Leader, you have what you need to continue the quest.
Speak to Fujitaka again to give him the letter.
This finishes Silver Smugglers in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
