From Spark to Flame is the 8th main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the From Spark to Flame main mission.
- Region: Izumi Settsu
- Quest Giver: Automatically starts after completing An Unpayable Debt
- Requirement: Complete An Unpayable Debt
- Reward: None
Return to Tomiko
Make your way to a spot southwest of the Izumi Settsu text on the map. There you find Tomiko outside a house.
During this cutscene, a dialogue option appears:
- [I am ready.]
- [If I must…]
These options do not affect the outcome. Choose whichever you wish.
Gather resources for the Kakurega
Head straight south from the hideout. Hold 
/ 
to highlight the resources with golden dots.
Climb over the fence to find the supplies you need.
Then, head west up the path to the stable, where you can find the next batch of supplies.
Go to the north end of the stable to find the rocks for building the Kakurega.
Build the Kakurega
Head back to the hideout and use the worktable to improve your base.
Press 
/ 
to open the build menu, and then select the Kakurega from the menu. Find an available space on the homestead and press 
/ 
to place it there.
Once done, hold 
/ 
to exit the menu. In some cases the quest progression can bug out here, but it’s fixable by interacting again with the workbench and backing out again.
During the next cutscene, Sirin and Junjiro appear at your doorstep, which prompts a dialogue option:
- [This is no place for a child.]
- [You can stay, Junjiro.]
No matter which option you pick, Junjiro moves in to your hideout.
This finishes From Spark to Flame in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This quest automatically transitions into the next quest, “Way of the Blacksmith.”
