An Unpayable Debt is the 6th main quest in Assassin’s Creed Shadows. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the An Unpayable Debt main mission.
Escape the area
Stagger out of the house and onto the dirt road. Naoe collapses, which triggers a cutscene.
This scene transitions into the next quest, “Wake Up Call.” After Wake Up Call finishes, you return to this quest.
Paint with Junjiro
After Wake Up Call, Leave the house and follow Junjiro easterly along the path.
He eventually leads you left to the Makinoodera Temple.
Crouch and then get close enough to the tanuki for the L2 prompt to appear. Hold 
/ 
and then approach the tanuki until the circle fills up around it.
Follow Junjiro
Now, go along with Junjiro into the temple.
Talk to Junjiro
He sits down inside the temple. Speak with him to sit by him.
Cut bamboo
When you regain control, head east again along the same path where Junjiro just lead you. This is the first point in the game where the world map is available to you.
This time, keep going east past the temple and past a gate to an outgrowth of bamboo. Go into the outgrowth and start attacking until the gauge fills.
This finishes An Unpayable Debt in Assassin’s Creed Shadows.
