Introduction
Welcome to Sinai! The first expansion of AC: Origins – The Hidden Ones – takes place in a new environment, which couldn’t be accessed before. The story takes place a few years after the Main Game’s events, in which Bayek and the newly formed brotherhood take care of some corrupt leaders once again and help the people of Egypt. The recommended Level is 38-45, so you should tackle this expansion once you have finished and possibly got the Platinum from the Main Game. The new areas and their level can be seen on the map below:
If you open the map and press , you will open the atlas and see the loactions of the main game, this DLC and the upcoming DLC and can initiate fast-travel, once the locations are available.
Step 1: Play the new Main Story
Finish these Main Quests:
The Land of Turquoise
Where the Slaves Die
The Walls of the Ruler
The Setting Sun
No Chains Too Thick
Sic Semper Tyrannis
The Greater Good
Step 2: Side Missions and clean-up
Rise of Shaqilat
Shadows of the Scarab
Most miscellaneous trophies should come naturally while playing the main and side quests, if you keep their requirements in mind and use the opportunities. If not, you can farm most of them in the Walls of the Ruler-Citadel.
Assassin’s Creed Origins The Hidden Ones DLC Trophy Guide
What Time is It? Perform a leap of faith from Arsinoe’s sundial obelisk between 10 am and noon (The Hidden Ones) |
||
The black Sundial Obelisk is a very prominent landmark in the north of the DLC’s map. It can be seen on the map as well as from afar, like shown below. To achieve this trophy, you will have to jump from the top down into the classic haystack between 10:00 AM and Noon. The Black lines on the ground are always one hour apart each, with the entrance marking Noon. The shadow of the sundial itself will tell you, what time it is. See the picture below for a reference of the timeframe you should jump. |
||
Zip it Off Perform 3 Assassinations from a zipline (The Hidden Ones) |
||
There are quite a few ziplines scattered around the DLC’s map for our convenience. Many of them are within the Walls of the Ruler-Citadel, which is a large outpost and has to be completed for another trophy anyhow. Use Senu with to get a fix on all the ziplines’ locations and see, if any of those have a guard below them. Not all of them do and most guards won’t stand there for a very long time, so you might get unlucky once or twice, when your potential victim moves another direction. Once you are close to an eligible victim, jump on the line with and hit at the end of the zipline, to get rid of your unsuspecting enemy. |
||
Prison Break Free 20 Rebels (The Hidden Ones) |
||
Rebels are being held captive in most large enemy camps or outposts. Their presence will be shown by small blue icons on screen, like can be seen below. Sometimes, the game will place civilians in the cages. They don’t count for this trophy, it has to be rebels. Take out guards around them and unlock their doors with . Be aware that they will usually engage in combat – so if you want to stay stealthy, wait until you have cleared out the whole area. Large cages might have up to three rebels at once, if you are lucky. You don’t have to free all rebels on the DLC’s map, the Main Game works fine, too. Take a look at the Akra Garrison Outpost in the south-east of Alexandria, there is a whole bunch of them and the guards are low-leveled – the perfect spot to get 10+ rebels. |
||
Team Play Kill an enemy with a headshot while they are being harassed by Senu (The Hidden Ones) |
||
Eagle Harass is an ability from the Hunter Skill Tree (left side) and costs 2 Points to unlock. Once you have obtained this skill, keep a lookout for guards, preferably lower level than you are – that makes it more likely that you can kill him with a headshot. Press to call Senu and once you have found an eligible victim, press to harass him. Now, simply get out your strongest bow and aim for the occupied guard’s head. If the damage bar is completely filled – as can be seen below – shoot your arrow and you will have this trophy in no-time. This can be done on the map of the main game, too – however, the DLC has to be installed. |
||
Walls of the Ruler Complete the Walls-of-the-Ruler citadel (The Hidden Ones) |
||
The Walls of the Ruler Citadel is a military outpost in the middle of the map. It is larger than any other outpost from the main game and you need to do a few things to fully complete this location. To complete it, you need to kill two Captains and one Commander, as well as loot six treasures. Just as any other outpost, it is advised to use Senu with to scan the complete compund and reveal the reinforcement-beacons, treasures and kill-targets. A good strategy is to climb the outside perimeter and disable the three beacons and transform them into traps, in case you might get spotted. Take your time, check the surroundings and take the guards out one-by-one. One of the two captains is a brute and cannot be killed with a bow-shot, but has to be defeated in combat. Before you tend to him, clear out the perimeter, so that no guards are alerted. Once you have completed all nine tasks you will be awarded a new shiny silver trophy and 2.000 XP. |

Looks like there are glitches. I played through the storyline and completed all quests before looking here. While The Greater Good unlocked at the end, Surgical Strikes and New Recruits did not.

Just did them 2 days ago… No trophies either, even though it’s listed as done.

Surgical Strikes and New Recruits is still glitched in December 2023 on version 1.6.0 on PS5… Fucking Ubisoft hasn’t fixed this shit yet…
Aero_X_999 says
So there is a fix around is by playing New Game+ and just do the main quest story and skip cutscene (if you prefer) until it allows you to leave Siwa to where you get the DLC story quest and Sinai unlocked, then you can go there and rush the story to kill 3 targets for Surgical Strikes trophy and then do the side quest for New Recruits trophy. I finally had to do New Game+ for these 2 glitched trophies.
