Collectibles
#1 – Dervis’ Artifact #1: Small Chinese Box
Pickpocketed from a woman walking around The Four Markets.
#2 – Historical Site #1: Papermaking
On street level, in west of The Four Markets.
#3 – Historical Site #2: Slavery

#4 – Historical Site #3: Muhtasib (Market Inspector)

#5 – Mysterious Shard #1
Pickpocketed from an NPC in a black robe south-west of The Four Markets.
#6 – Gear Chest #1: Zanj Uprising Dagger / Upgrade Schematic
This chest is inside a locked building. The door on the north side requires a key. First, you must pickpocket the key from a guy standing in building in the north-east corner of The Four Markets area, upstairs in the building.
Then return to the building with the chest, use the key on the front door. This leads to the storage room where you find an explosive keg.
Carry it to the back of the locked building, there are destructible walls, throw the explosive keg at those walls to break them ( + / + to throw).
There is a breakable ceiling in this room. You can either grab another explosive keg from the storage and throw it at the ceiling, or up the outside wall and throw a Throwing Knife at the explosive keg upstairs.
Now push the shelf from the right side of the room to the middle and you can climb upstairs to the chest. (Alternatively, if the guy with key doesn’t spawn, you can fully upgrade the Noisemaker to Level 3 and select the upgrade that turns it into a grenade to explode walls, then you can blow up the wall with the Noisemaker and skip getting the key/explosive vase).
#7 – Enigma #1: Delight by the Dome
Directly below the Viewpoint at the Mosque (named map location). In the entrance area of the mosque on the left.
#8 – Gear Chest #2: Abbasid Knight Sword / Upgrade Schematic
This is upstairs in a locked building of Scholar’s Estate. The chest itself is locked and requires the “Scholar’s Estate Chest Key”. So first, head to the building in the south-east corner of Scholar’s Estate and grab the key from the ground floor (the backdoor is open).
Now go back to the building with the chest. Climb halfway up the building and there’s a destructible window (it will show in red when scanning with Dpad Left). Simply melee attack the window or throw a dagger at it to break it.
Then climb through. There are two shelves in front of the chest, pull the right shelf towards you (if it’s stuck you must wiggle it a bit to the right and then pull it forward). This reveals the chest which can now be opened with the key.
#9 – Mysterious Shard #2
Pickpocketed from an NPC who is near a bridge.
#10 – Tales of Baghdad #1: Blade In The Crowd, Tool In The Shed
Talk to the Assassin at the tale marker. Follow him into the market area and defeat all enemies there. Then talk to him again. It doesn’t matter if you are detected or not, just need to defeat all enemies.
#11 – Dervis’ Artifact #2: Tang Censer
Pickpocketed from a guy working with bricks.
#12 – Gear Chest #3: Zanj Uprising Dagger / Upgrade Schematic
Found inside the Hammam in a locked room. First, go to the north-west corner outside the Hammam and break the destructible window (it will be highlighted red when scanning with Dpad Left). You can melee the window or toss a knife to break it.
Climb inside, destroy the vases blocking the movable shelf, then pull the shelf to open the exit. From the same room pick up an explosive keg, carry it to the south-west corner of this building and toss it at the destructible wall there. The chest is found behind the destructible wall.
#13 – Historical Site #4: “Abbasid Style”
On the roof of the Hammam.
#14 – Historical Site #5: Hammam
Inside the Hammam, can enter through the south entrance.
#15 – Dervis’ Artifact #3: Round Moon Plaque
Pickpocketed from a woman standing by the river, north of the Hammam.
#16 – Historical Site #6: Arabic as a Cultural Unifier
On street level, next to blacksmith.
#17 – Historical Site #7: Translation Movement

#18 – Gear Chest #4: Abbasid Knight Sword / Upgrade Schematic
In the Scriptorium area, in the building in the south-east corner, upstairs.
#19 – Historical Site #8: Astronomy and Astrology
Below Observatory Viewpoint.
#20 – Tales of Baghdad #2: A Life’s Work
Jump down the Observatory Viewpoint and land in the haystack. To the left of it sits a man on a bench, talk to him to start the tale. Follow him a few steps until he collapses and asks you to find 3 pages for him. These are all around the observatory. The first is on the small building left of the man (west), just a few meters/yards away. It will be highlighted orange when scanning for it with and starts to fly away when you approach, follow it until it stops in the north-east corner of the Observatory.
The second page is inside the Observatory upper floor but the door is blocked. Behind the Observatory (north side), there’s a movable shelf. Move it west as far as it goes, then climb it and toss Throwing Knifes through the open window to hit the door lock. Now you can enter the door through the front entrance, go upstairs to find the scroll to the right after exiting the stairs.
The third page is on top of the Observatory just below the Viewpoint, in front of what looks like a big astronomical device. If you haven’t unlocked the Viewpoint yet, you must climb up the south side of the building and then move a shelf to climb up further. With all 3 pages collected, return to the man and talk to him to finish the quest.
#21 – Historical Site #9: Astronomical Instruments
On top of the roof of the Observatory, just below the Viewpoint.
#22 – Lost Book #1: Al-Kwarizmi: Al-Jabr
Upstairs in a house. You can break the wooden front door by melee attacking it (south-side of building). Then pull the shelf towards you and go upstairs to find this.
#23 – Historical Site #10: Majlis (Intellectual Salon)
Inside the House of Wisdom, through a door in the north-east entrance.
#24 – Historical Site #11: Scientific Method
Inside the House of Wisdom, through a door in the north-east entrance.
#25 – Historical Site #12: Calculating the Earth’s Circumference
Inside the House of Wisdom, in the north of the inner plaza.
#26 – Gear Chest #5: Abbasid Knight Sword / Upgrade Schematic
In the rooftop tower of the House of Wisdom. The door is locked and you need the key. The key must be looted from an NPC on the roofs in the north-east of the House of Wisdom (roughly 50 meters north-east of the chest icon on map). When you are near this NPC and scan with he will show a white magnifying glass icon over his head. If pickpocketing doesn’t work you must kill him and “collect” it from his corpse.
Then open the door with the key. The upper floor is blocked by a destructible ceiling. To open this, climb the north side of the tower to almost the top (not the very top). There’s an open window, you must throw a Throwing Knife through it at the chandelier hanging from the celing, this will make it fall down onto explosive vases that will blow up the ceiling.
Now you can head back into the room and climb up to the chest.
#27 – Historical Site #13: House of Wisdom
On top of the south-east entrance gate to the House of Wisdom.
#28 – Enigma #2: A Challenge
On a balcony.
#29 – Enigma #3: The Gift
On rooftop of a building.
#30 – Historical Site #14: Healthcare
In the south-west corner of The Great Bimaristan.
#31 – Gear Chest #6: Zanj Uprising Dagger / Upgrade Schematic
On the roof on the east-side of The Great Bimaristan, in a locked tower. The door to it is barred. Go to the other opposite side of the tower (the north side), climb on the railing and toss a Throwing Knife through the open window to break the door lock (must be standing on railing to see the lock). Now the door is open, head inside, pull the shelf to reveal the chest.
#32 – Dervis’ Artifact #4: Olibanum
Pickpocketed from a man walking around east of The Great Bimaristan (is walking so location is slightly moving but he’s always around that area).
#33 – Historical Site #15: Dome of the Ass (Donkey)
