Game Info
Armored Core VI is the continuation of Armored Core V. With the last game having been released in 2012, 11 years have passed between these releases and a lot has changed. The game is developed by FromSoftware, the same studio behind Elden Ring, Demon’s Souls, Dark Souls, Bloodborne, Sekiro. There are certain commonalities with their other game, mainly the challenging boss battles that FromSoftware is known for and a steep learning curve in the beginning. The game also features multiple endings. Unlike those other franchises, you play as a big Mech against other Machines. There is no traditional leveling system, instead you buy “OS Tuning” Upgrades for permanent buffs. Unlocking all missions and endings takes a minimum of 3 full playthroughs, this is because some missions are exclusive to New Game+ & New Game++. It’s best to keep the S-Ranks for last, when you unlocked all missions. S-Ranks can be earned through Mission Replay (S Rank being the highest achievable rank). You need all S Ranks for a trophy and achievement. The game consists of 5 Chapters and 59 Missions total. There are also 41 Arena Bosses (29 in first Arena, 12 in second Arena). The arenas all unlock gradually throughout your 3 playthroughs, the last arena boss unlocks in New Game++. There are 3 Collectible Types: Combat Logs (dropped by specific enemies), Data Logs (from scanning wrecked ACs), Parts Containers (hidden chests). The first playthrough will take around 15-20 hours but subsequent playthroughs can be rushed in 4-5 hours. Compared to other FromSoftware games, the main story itself is relatively easy to beat with the right build for each boss (see the Best Builds and Boss Guides below). With the right equipment you can brute force any enemy. Doing everything in the game will take 50 hours+, dependent on how many replays you need of each mission for S-Ranks.
