Armored Core VI Trophy Roadmap
- Estimated trophy difficulty: 8/10 (due to some S-Ranks being challenging, rest is a 5/10)
- Approximate amount of time to platinum: 50 Hours+ (completely skill-dependent, depends on how many replays you need for S-Ranks. 15-20h for 1st playthrough, 4-5h for 2nd ending playthrough, 4-5h for 3rd ending playthrough, 20h or more for S-Ranks and collectible clean-up)
- Offline Trophies: 30 (1, 5, 10, 14)
- Online Trophies: 0
- Number of missable trophies: 11 – make sure you follow the Roadmap steps exactly to not miss anything
- Stargazer – to unlock all missions you must pick the new ones on each playthrough (if you pick missions you already unlocked, you will need another playthrough)
- The Perfect Mercenary – same as Stargazer, if you fail to unlock all missions within 3 playthroughs you will need another playthrough
- Combat Log Collector – if you fail to unlock a mission that contains a combat log, will need another playthrough to unlock the missing mission
- Master of Arena – must finish last 3 arena bosses before finishing New Game++ (last 3 bosses become unavailable after NG++)
- Asset Holder, Weapon Collector , External Parts Collector, Internal Parts Collector – if you fail to unlock a mission that contains part containers or logs, will need another playthrough, and if you miss the final NG++ arena boss will need another playthrough
- The Fires of Raven, Liberator of Rubicon, Alea lacta Est – the 3 endings are mutually exclusive, can only get 1 per playthrough. If you make wrong decisions you might get an ending you already unlocked and need another playthrough.
- Glitched trophies: 0
- Does difficulty affect trophies?: There are no difficulty settings, it’s one and the same difficulty for everyone
- Hardest Trophy: The Perfect Mercenary (All S-Ranks)
- Minimum Playthroughs: 3 Full Playthroughs (NG, NG+, NG++) to unlock all Missions and Endings. Also multiple level replays for S-Ranks (you aren’t given ranks during your 3 main playthroughs, only obtainable via Mission Replay). If you deviate from the Roadmap and pick a wrong mission you will need a 4th playthrough to unlock your missing mission. If you forget to defeat all Arena Bosses in New Game++ you will need a 4th playthrough to unlock the last 3 Arena bosses again. Save scumming for Endings doesn’t work in this game because of the New Game++ exclusive missions/ending which makes 3 playthroughs mandatory.
- PS4/PS5 Autopop & Save Transfer: There is Save Transfer from PS4 to PS5 but no Autopop. Technically, you could transfer the save before each trophy and quickly redo it in the PS5 version.
- PS4/PS5 Crossbuy: Yes
- Free-Roam / Level Select after Story?: Yes, Mission Replay is available at any time from the start. As soon as you finish a mission it can be replayed whenever you want. Finishing the last mission automatically starts New Game+ and all missions remain available for replay.
- Supports Manual Saves?: No, Only 1 Autosave
- Release Date: August 25, 2023
Introduction
Welcome to the Armored Core VI Trophy Guide (aka Armored Core 6)! Armored Core VI is made by FromSoftware, the same studio behind Dark Souls, Elden Ring, Bloodborne, Sekiro. Much like their other games, Armored Core VI features challenging boss fights, a steep learning curve in the beginning, and multiple Endings. Unlike those other games, you play as a giant Mech, the game isn’t open world and instead uses mission select, and there is no leveling system (you buy OS Upgrades for permanent buffs). First, you will want to unlock all Missions, which is mandatory to gain access to all S-Ranks and Collectibles. To unlock all Missions you will need a minimum of 3 full playthroughs, one for each ending. Some missions are exclusive to New Game+ & New Game++ and you must make certain choices throughout the story to be put on a different path that leads to new missions (see Roadmap). It’s easiest if you keep S-Ranks for last. After getting all other trophies you will have access to powerful gear that can defeat bosses in a few seconds. Collectibles come in the form of Combat Logs, Data Logs, Parts Containers. Combat Logs are enemies with a log-icon left of their health bar, defeat them for the log. For Data Logs you only need 10 which are automatic from the story and require no searching so don’t worry about them. Parts Containers are hidden chests found throughout the missions that get marked when you use the scanner, each gives a new part. You will need close to 100% completion for Platinum, the only thing not required is finding all Data Logs (only 10 needed). The main challenge is getting all S-Ranks, some missions are quite easy and short, while others will require many replays. Any missions unlocked in previous playthroughs remain unlocked in subsequent playthroughs via Mission Replay. You must also finish all Arena Matches, all of which unlock automatically from story progress, and a second Arena unlocks in New Game+. The game consists of 5 Chapters. There are 59 missions total but you only get 37-38 per playthrough (each playthrough will feature a few new missions, NG+/NG++ introduce “Alternative Missions” and Exclusive Missions not available on the first playthrough). There are also 7 Training Missions and 41 Arena Bosses (29 in first Arena, 12 in NG+ / NG++ Arena). The only collectible type that’s tracked in mission select is Combat Logs. Data Logs and Parts Containers are not tracked anywhere. You must always finish a mission to save newly found collectibles. Luckily, there are some overpowered character builds that make the game much easier and allow you to brute-force any boss, more on that in the Roadmap.
Step 1: First Playthrough (Ending #1: The Fires of Raven) + Unlock 38 of 59 Missions [15-20 Hours]
During the first step only focus on beating the story and getting the first Ending. You don’t need to worry about anything else, just enjoy the game. Which ending you get depends on which missions you play. At certain points you get to choose between “Decision Missions”. These will cancel out each other, playing one “Decision Mission” makes the other “Decision Mission” unavailable until the next playthrough.
Decision Missions are marked by an icon in the top right corner like this:
They also say “Decision” in the mission description like this:
For the first Ending you must always pick the top mission choice. Play the following Missions to get Ending #1:
- Chapter 3 – Mission 21: Eliminate the Enforcement Squads [DECISION]
- Chapter 4 – Mission 31: Intercept the Redguns [DECISION]
- Chapter 5 – Mission 37: Intercept the Corporate Forces [DECISION]
- –> This will result in getting the Chapter 5 Missions: 39-A: Breach the Kármán Line > 40-A: Shut Down the Closure Satellites = Ending #1: The Fires of Raven
Tips & Tricks to make it easier:
- Always play all Training & Arena Missions as they become available (happens automatically from story progress). Beating Arenas lets you buy OS Upgrades to get permanent buffs like more damage output, more healing, taking reduced damage. Training Missions unlock some new parts.
- Chapter 1 has the biggest learning curve, the main challenge being the bosses (particularly Chapter 1 Endboss). To make things easier, it’s best to buy all available parts. Simply replay Mission 06: Attack the Dam Complex a few times. Only destroy the main objectives and ignore optional enemies, it only takes 90 seconds and gives around 180,000 COAM each time. It’s better to spend 20 minutes farming money than to get stuck on a boss for 2 hours because you lack the right equipment. Each boss has some weakness that can be exploited if you have the right gear. You can change your loadout mid-mission if you die, which is great to experiment with different builds against bosses. In general, it’s easiest to dual-wield guns and use shoulder weapons with a high “Impact” rating to stagger bosses fast, then deal damage with your hand weapons.
- Remember you can lock on to enemies with . Always do this against bosses, it keeps your auto-aim focused on them so you will hit them more easily.
- “Brute Force Tank Builds” are the way to go, use whatever has the highest AP (health) and defensive stats. Shoulder weapons are primarily for staggering enemies so use whatever has the highest impact. Hand weapons are for dealing damage as quickly as possible during a stagger phase, anything that deals the most damage in the shortest time at close range is best. While heavy tanks have slower “Boost Speed”, they make up for it with higher health and defense, which is what actually makes combat easier. Beating bosses quickly is more a mathematical calculation than skill, whoever has more health and faster damage output will win by overpowering the other. Additionally, heavy tank builds allow you to carry any weapon whereas lightweight builds would be overloaded by certain weapons. It just makes it more straightforward because you won’t have to change parts all the time and can stick to one build for the rest of the game.
- See Boss Guides if you get stuck: Mission 01: Illegal Entry > Mission 08: Operation Wallclimber > Mission 11: Attack the Watchpoint > Mission 12: Infiltrate Grid 086 > Mission 14: Ocean Crossing > Mission 27: Destroy the Ice Worm > Mission 34: Reach the Coral Convergence > Mission 40: Shut Down the Closure Satellites
Recommended Builds:
- Build for Chapter 1 – Use two laser cannons on the back “VP-60LCS” (unlocked after Mission 7), these are the best early game weapons. They are great at staggering enemies and deal damage quickly. Use the heavy tank legs (unlocked after Mission 8), they have the most health/defense and let you carry the most weight. For all other parts use whatever has the most AP. For hand weapons use dual-wielding “SG-026 HALDEMAN” shotguns (unlocked after Mission 7). Alternatively, dual-wielding machine guns “MG-014 LUDLOW” (unlocked after first Training Mission) is also good. Remember to shoot your shoulder weapons together with your hand weapons at the same time. Don’t drive the tank on the ground, always hover closely over the enemy in the air with . When flying you have more control and can constantly shoot (when dodging with you can’t shoot at the same time). Get close to enemies when they are staggered, you deal more damage at close range.
- Build for Chapter 2-3 – Use a heavy tank dual-wielding Gatling Guns with two Grenade Cannons on the Shoulders. All parts are available from the start of Chapter 2 and after playing the Training Missions (see All Parts Unlock Requirements). It will defeat bosses in a few seconds. The biggest roadblock is the Chapter 2 endboss, which can be brute-forced with this build. Strategy for this build is to boost above an enemy with > fire both Grenade Cannons / to increase stagger (even if enemies dodge they will be caught in the blast radius when you hit the ground from above) > land near the enemy and fire both Gatling Guns at very close range (like 5-10 meters away). This will deal insane damage during the stagger phase. Let all weapons cool down and repeat. Note: tanks can be a bit hard to control while driving, but flying with makes it easier. Always stay close to the enemy.
- Build from Chapter 4 onward (also use for NG+/NG++) – Largely the same as previous build but replace shoulder weapons with two Stun Needle Launchers, replace other parts for max AP. They are even better at staggering enemies (they create a powerful electrical discharge). On a direct hits during stagger they also deal more damage and shoot faster. Use this build for all remaining bosses and to speedrun through NG+/NG++. Same strategy as before, stay close to the enemy by flying near them, shoot the Needle launchers from above, then use Dual-Gatling Guns during Stagger and also shoot Needle Launchers when recharged:
Step 2: New Game+ Playthrough (Ending #2: Liberator of Rubicon) + Collectibles + Unlock 8 of 59 Missions [5 Hours]
Beating the game for the first time will automatically start New Game+. The difficulty doesn’t change in NG+ / NG++ (doesn’t get harder). All missions remain available in Mission Replay but you must do everything through the regular Mission Select (Sortie > Missions). Using Mission Replay doesn’t save your choices. Unfortunately, you don’t receive Ranks in regular Mission Select so can’t make any progress towards S-Ranks.
New Game+ also introduces a new Arena that you need for remaining OS Upgrades, and new exclusive missions that were not available on the first playthrough.
During this playthrough you should also start working on Collectibles. You will already be familiar with the level layouts from the first playthrough which makes this easier. Follow the Armored Core VI Collectible Guide during this playthrough. If you miss anything you can grab it on the 3rd playthrough.
For the second Ending you must always pick the bottom mission choice (opposite of what you chose in first playthrough). Play the following Missions to get Ending #2:
- Chapter 1 – [ALT] Mission 06: Attack the Dam Complex = after destroying the 2nd generator choose the screen prompt “REFUSE” ( ). You will then proceed with mission objectives normally and not fight your allies. [NEW GAME+ EXCLUSIVE] [ALT MISSION] [DECISION]
- Chapter 3 – Mission 19: Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech [NEW GAME+ EXCLUSIVE] [DECISION]
- Chapter 3 – Mission 22: Destroy the Special Forces Craft [DECISION]
- Chapter 4 – Mission 26: Defend the Dam Complex [NEW GAME+ EXCLUSIVE]
- Chapter 4 – Mission 32: Ambush the Vespers [DECISION]
- Chapter 5 – Mission 38: Eliminate “Cinder” Carla [DECISION]
- –> This will result in getting the Chapter 5 Missions: 39-B: Destroy the Drive Block > 40-B: Bring Down the Cylem = Ending #2: Liberator of Rubicon
Step 3: New Game++ Playthrough (Ending #3: Alea lacta Est) + Finish Arena + Remaining Collectibles + Unlock 13 of 59 Missions [5 Hours]
Beating New Game+ automatically starts New Game++. There are yet again new missions, new arena enemies, and new collectibles.
Play the following Missions to get Ending #3:
- Chapter 1 – [ALT] Mission 06: Attack the Dam Complex – after destroying the 2nd generator choose the screen prompt “ACCEPT” ( ). You will then have to defeat your allies. [NEW GAME+/++ EXCLUSIVE] [ALT MISSION] [DECISION]
- Chapter 1 – Mission 07: Escort the Weaponized Mining Ship [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE]
- Chapter 1 – Mission 09: Prisoner Rescue [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE]
- Chapter 1 – Mission 10: Obstruct the Mandatory Inspection [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE]
- Chapter 1 – Mission 11: Attack the Watchpoint [ALT MISSION] [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE]
- Chapter 2 – Mission 13: Stop the Secret Data Breach [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE]
- Chapter 3 – Mission 19: Prevent Corporate Salvage of New Tech [DECISION]
- Chapter 3 – Mission 20: Survey the Uninhabited Floating City [ALT MISSION] [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE]
- Chapter 3 – Mission 22: Eliminate the Enforcement Squads [DECISION]
- Chapter 4 – Mission 26-B: Coral Export Denial [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE] [DECISION]
- Chapter 4 – Mission 29-B: Underground Exploration – Depth 2 [ALT MISSION] [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE]
- Chapter 4 – Finish Arena, last opponent is unlocked after Mission 29: Underground Exploration.
- Chapter 4 – Mission 33-B: Eliminate V.III [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE] [DECISION]
- Chapter 4 – Mission 34: Reach the Coral Convergence [ALT MISSION] [NEW GAME++ EXCLUSIVE]
- –> Then Chapter 5 starts with Mission 35: MIA for MIA (instead of the regular mission “Escape”). Then you get Mission 36-C: Regain Control of the Xylem > 37-C Coral Release = Ending #3: Alea lacta Est
If you followed the Roadmap so far, you will earn Stargazer for having unlocked all Missions. Now you have access to everything and can start with S-Ranks. If you have any Collectibles left, do them now via Mission Replay before starting S-Ranks: Armored Core VI Collectible Guide. To buy all remaining Parts from the Shop you will need a lot of money, you should get enough while replaying all Missions for S-Ranks.
IMPORTANT [MISSABLE]: Make sure you have defeated the last “Analysis Arena” boss before playing the final mission “Coral Release”. The last arena boss unlocks after Chapter 4 NG++ Alt Mission 29: Underground Exploration. This is required to get All Parts & Master of Arena trophy! After finishing New Game++ the last 3 arena bosses become unavailable and you would need a 4th playthrough (until Mission 30) to unlock them again!
Step 4: S-Ranks [20 Hours]
The last thing that remains is replaying all missions to get S-Ranks. You can only earn ranks via the Mission Replay Menu (Sortie > Mission Replay). Refer to the following guide for Walkthroughs on each Mission:

Tuning Expert Performed all OS upgrades. |
||
OS Upgrades can be bought in the Garage > OS Tuning Menu. This becomes available after Mission 09: Retrieve Combat Logs (Chapter 1). At the same time you will unlock the Arena. Each Arena opponent you defeat rewards you with “OST Chips”, which can be redeemed in the OS Tuning Menu to buy “OS Upgrades”. They grant permanent buffs like more damage output. More Arena opponents unlock automatically from story progress.
Beating all Arena Opponents on the first playthrough isn’t enough to afford all upgrades. New Game+ has a 2nd arena with more enemies that give the remaining “OST Chips”. You will need to keep playing in New Game+ (2nd playthrough) until you reach Chapter 4. Then beat all Arena opponents up until “Y-3 Analysis Subject 51-016”. After beating this Arena opponent you will have enough OST Chips to buy all upgrades from the OS Tuning Menu. Buying everything costs 197 Chips total. The last 3 Arena Opponents are exclusive to New Game++ (3rd playthrough) but they don’t give chips and aren’t required for the OS Upgrades. However, they are required to unlock all parts for Asset Holder. For the exact unlock timings of all Arena Opponents see Armored Core 6 (VI) How to Unlock All Arena Programs. During your 3rd playthrough pick the following Decision-Missions (same as outlined in Step 3 of the Roadmap):
|
||
Training Complete Cleared all training programs. |
||
There are 7 Training Missions in total. They are accessed in the Garage > Sortie > Training. These unlock gradually with story progress. They are short tutorials that introduce you to the basic gameplay strategies, taking around 2-3 minutes per tutorial.
Hardware Engineer Assembled an AC. |
||
After completing the 1st mission, you will unlock the Garage. In the Garage go to AC Design > Assembly > switch out any part here and the trophy will unlock. Software Engineer Upgraded your AC’s OS. |
||
OS Tuning is unlocked after completing Mission 09: Retrieve Combat Logs (Chapter 1). It can then be found in Garage > OS Tuning. Buy any OS Tuning option from this menu to unlock the trophy. This requires OST Chips which you get from Arena fights. The Arena is also unlocked after Mission 09: Retrieve Combat Logs and can be accessed through the Garage.
Graphic Designer Changed the coloration of your AC. |
||
After completing the 1st mission, you will unlock the Garage. In the Garage go to AC Design > Paint > switch out any color here and the trophy will unlock. You will return to the garage after each mission and can do this at any time. |

Just to double check, as long as you don’t finish that 3rd playthrough you have as much time as you want to finish the arenas?
PowerPyx says
Yes correct.
Only upon finishing the 3rd playthrough the final 3 enemies disappear. Before then you can do it at any point. It’s pointed out in Step 3 Roadmap when last arena boss unlocks.
Ahmed Tallal says
I can’t get S rank 1st time playing the mission ?! But i can if i replayed it via misson reply menu ? I undestood right ?
PowerPyx says
Correct.
S-Ranks can only be earned through the “Mission Replay” Menu. On your 3 main playthroughs you can’t earn ranks. This leads to more replaying being required. Hopefully one of the things they will patch for New Game+ in the future.
joker says
Even using all ur tips for S rank still 8/10 ?
PowerPyx says
For now, yes. The S-Rank difficulty between missions varies a lot. Some are super easy 1st try, just fly past all enemies and do only main objectives.
Some other missions where you must defeat lots of enemies are harder. The biggest issue is that the game gives no feedback for the S-Rank requirements. Sometimes you do a perfect run and think it would for sure be S, but it only gives A. It weighs the ranking requirements inconsistently between missions. For example, in some missions not taking damage and using little ammo seems to carry more weight and in other missions it’s all about time. It doesn’t even show your completion time in the results screen (nor what it requires for S). There are also hidden requirements like doing extra objectives or defeating specific enemies to qualify for S-Rank, but the game doesn’t tell you. So it’s all a bit intransparent and a lot of trial and error to figure it out. Having the right build for each mission does make it easier but you still need skill to finish the missions fast without taking too much damage and not using too much ammo.
PhantomFear94 says
Thanks PowerPyx for this guide. Not a Day 1 priority for me but like the look of it.
2 questions:
1) How did you find AC6? The series historically hasn’t reviewed that well but I’m hopeful this one will be a lot better received after From software’s recent run of incredible games.
2) Am I correct that you’re doing a roadmap for Starfield despite it being an Xbox Series and PC exclusive?
PowerPyx says
1) Loved the game! It’s a lot of fun. I’d give it a 9/10 (review score, not difficulty)
2) Yep Starfield achievement guide/wiki will be ready for early access launch on September 1st (and I’ve always been multi-platform, i.e. covered Gears of War 3 as far back as 2011).
sebay says
Why is there are 15-20hours for 1st playthrough and only 5 hours for 2nd?
Should i replay only new missions for 2nd playthrough?
PowerPyx says
FromSoftware games get easier/faster after you learned how to beat them. It’s the same here. The 2nd playthrough has just as many missions as the 1st and you need to replay all of them, but because you will already know the game can rush through it much faster and skip all cutscenes/dialogue. The first playthrough only takes longer because there is an initial learning curve to get better at the game, you will need more retries etc. On 2nd run you will probably beat everything 1st try without checkpoint restarts because you have a better build and know what to do. On average, missions only last 2-5 minutes (37-38 missions per playthrough plus some arena fights and time spent in garage).
Toalha Nerd says
Hi, thanks for the Guide, day one here.
Question, Blasfhemous 2 trophy Guide? Any chance?
PowerPyx says
Sorry nothing planned for it, couldn’t fit it in between Armored Core and Starfield. Too much time-consuming stuff hitting close together.
Angel says
You are bullet fam thank you.
Question, you mentioned there is no autopop. But there is cross save right?
If so, then this can be somewhat exploitable to get both platinums. You just would have to save before obtains certain trophy, upload and then download.
Is this possible?
Keep up t( good work fam.
PowerPyx says
There is cross save yes. And you are right, that would technically work. Can transfer the save before each trophy. I added a note to the overview about this 🙂
NL_the_godfather says
You can also repeat the mission on ps5 and still get the trophy. Sonit doesn’t have to be before. Also 10 battle logs popped after picking up another one on ps5 np.
Dreamcrawler says
Great Guide ! Any plans for Baldurs Gate 3 Guide/ Wiki?
PowerPyx says
Skipping it for time reasons. I’d love to but between all the other games there’s not enough time for me to do a guide in the quality I would like. Figuring out how to piece everything together perfectly in as few playthroughs as possible and then writing multiple full walkthroughs for each run will take weeks, I’d have to skip all September/October games to make it happen. It’s just one of those games that’s very complex and time-consuming to make guides for and releases at a very busy time. Rest of year is too busy with a new AAA release every week.
Robert Gallups says
So I see the Platinum difficulty is around 8/10, but compared to other From Software games, how does it rank in overall difficulty?
PowerPyx says
Overall difficulty is easier to something like Elden Ring / Dark Souls / Sekiro / Bloodborne.
You can brute force all bosses relatively easily without any skill required. Plus there is autoaim by default.
It’s only some S Ranks that are hard. Most of the S Ranks are quite easy. The 8/10 is the “peak difficulty” of the hardest ones.

Curious if there are any plans for Immortals of Aveum guide? 🙂
Also a quick note I am still sometime getting that random reload thing on your page! Definitely not as often as before but. iPhone 13 on safari.
PowerPyx says
Nothing planned for Aveum.
See my Next Guides page.

please i have a question
There is a matchmaking for the PVP or not ?
zulqarmessi says
Masterpiece guide by the legend ?
Powerpyx I have a question, so this time we won’t get all the endings trophies by uploading save files to the cloud after final Boss ????
Just like we did with all the other FROM SOFTWARE games.
PowerPyx says
No, because one Ending is exclusive to New Game++ (Alea lacta Est).
But it would work for Ending #1 & Ending #2. The only choices that actually matters for the first two endings is whether you play Mission 37: Intercept the Corporate Forces (= Ending 1) or Mission 38: Eliminate “Cinder” Carla (= Ending 2). In the Roadmap I also list all other decision missions for the sake of unlocking all missions but those don’t affect the first two endings.
Regardless, you would need to play through New Game+ to get to New Game++. Even if there wasn’t the NG++ exclusive ending, there are NG++ exclusive missions / S Ranks, parts, collectibles, and arena bosses. It’s 3 full playthroughs minimum, no way around it, you can’t save scum it.

Very good guide, keep up the great work!
I was wondering where I can save transfer my file, I couldn’t find any option while searching for it.
PowerPyx says
In the Title Screen, it shows “Convert Saved Data” at the bottom, below “Log In”. But apparently it only works from PS4 to PS5 and not the other way around.
ryuzakix5 says
It wasn’t showing until I launched the ps4 version, thanks!
Abuguet says
Great guide and on day 1!
Question: If I don’t choose the first option in decision missions during the first playthrough do I need to remember what I chose or is there a way to know which ones I have yet to chose in subsequent playthroughs?
Thanks,
PowerPyx says
The game won’t say which mission you already picked but you can always check in Mission Replay which of the two you unlocked previously.
Best would be to write down your picks, then double-check in Mission Replay Menu in 2nd playthrough to verify.
David says
Are there any OS upgrade recommendations that go with your suggested builds?
PowerPyx says
Primarily the defensive upgrades (take less damage and repair more per kit), then the Kinetic damage upgrades for Gatling Guns, lastly any other damage upgrades.
4ipuxa says
So guide mentions NG+, NG++ i am wondering what goes with diffculty there, like do enemies get more health and deal more dagame?
PowerPyx says
It’s the same difficulty, not difference.
Martin says
There is so much information to this game ?
Will it void trophies if I replay mission before proceeding to farm money for upgrades?
PowerPyx says
You can replay missions any time for money, that is fine and doesn’t void any trophy. I farmed Mission 6 (Dam) a bunch of times, it’s the best early mission for fast money.
ZoeyEnders says
I’m glad Armored Core 6 is doing very well (critical and public reception wise). The series that should be mainstream, and bring Mecha focus/attention to Western fans.
IAmSilky says
Quick question I’m on my first playthrough and for the first decision misson I picked the bottom choice. Should I continue picking only the bottom choice and in NG+ do the top ones only?
Thanks.
zulqarmessi says
Powerpyx, what’s the loadout for mission 31, that G1 Michigan and his insane army is giving me hard time, I have tank build but it’s not working.
PowerPyx says
I used the tank build from Chapter 2 with Songbird shoulder weapons.
Luke says
Curious does mission reply scale with NG+ level example replaying mission 3 on NG++ the level will be at NG++?
If so wouldn’t it be easier to S rank as much as possible before hitting NG++?
PowerPyx says
Difficulty doesn’t change, it’s the same across all playthroughs. Can do S-Ranks after NG++, makes no difference.
Znarf says
Im done with all Arena, but my OST chips are not enough. Help please
PowerPyx says
Did you finish New Game+ arena? You don’t get enough from first arena, must beat the 2nd arena too.
Darragh says
I picked the option to accept on my second playthrough by accident was looking at the wrong part of the roadmap and realised too late. Does this effect me having to play a 4th playthrough or can I still get the liberator of Rubicon ending and not have missed any missions?
4ipuxa says
Did the NG++ playthrough.
And i can tell S-ranking every mission is definetely out of reach for me, especially Mission 34 and Mission 40. Take Mission 34 i cant defeat boss on the first try not to mention doing so with as quickly as possible as low ammo used and taking little damage. There are other missions of course but this two i dont have a clue how to do, and looks like there is no cheese stuff like in Sekiro for example where the boss can fall to death. I dont want to spend tens of hours of my time and still dont get the platinum.
Actually quite a shame if the trophy was A-ranking every mission no S-ranking platinum would be much more enjoyable.
What i hate the most about fast boss fights is camera, it just cant keep up with locked on bosses, i think the developers should Nerf the boss speeds like for real, after that the game should be better for me at least, i know they wont do it but still.
And the second thing that i hate there a lot of parts and weapons, but unless youre a pro level player most of them are unusable garbage / spam.
4ipuxa says
So a quick update – Did the plat today, i said i wasnt going to but i started and it went better than i expected so persevered to the end.
So the platinum trophy obviously depends if you can do missions on S-rank, but its not that bad (its not easy ofc), and its nice that Powerpyx did all the videos on S-ranks so basically you can look at rewards and expenses and compare it to yours, so you can have a clue whether you lost more health or spent more ammo, it is obviously if you can A-rank mission, if youre B-rank and below there may be other things wrong like time spent etc.
Some missions are forgiving greatly to how much health you lose for example on one S-rank i had 1 AP and no repair kits with Terminal Armor used obviously and it gave S-rank but some like Mission 13: Investigate BAWS Arsenal No. 2 is not and you need to do it with minimum health lost, even though Mission 13 is not that bad when you memorize all the enemy locations and then double tap Stun Needle Launchers on each of them. Some missions are easier done with shotguns, some with Miniguns it depends.
Its hard to say which mission is the worst, maybe the lengthy ones, boss fights like with Ayre, CEL240 and Allmind, CEL 240 is irritating because you have to get there and its 2 phase, unless the RNG is in your favor you may be destroyed even in phase 1.
So overall its not that bad. The builds you can find on YT obviously but you have you to try different ones which are better for yourself, but they are not that different at core.
Honestly i am quite releived that i did it, it took a lot of mental health out of me, kind of perfect ending to the weekend. Also i did PS5 version i have no intention of doing PS4 version plat.
So guys its possible to do it, as for the difficulty 8/10 idk if it the actual one, i mean there a lot of missions and its not like youre playing for 30minute mission and then get A-rank and destroy your controller in rage.
At the end as always wanted to thank Powerpyx for the guide,
its hard to imagine like 20+ years ago without guides and YT how i people would have platinumed such games. So really appreciate it.
ModusAm says
Congrats! Currently at 29/59 s ranks, I know exactly what you say. How did you find the redguns and the fleeing helicopters (the ones you have to take down, not the prisoners one) missions doing S?
And, of course, many thanx to Powerpyx, much help!
Diogo Arez says
I think my Combat Log bugged out… All missions mark as completed but mission 34 in NG++ says complete but didn’t give me a combat log… Now I can’t get Hunter Class 15
Diogo Arez says
So got it, the 34++ mission is bugged, it doesn’t have a log BUT mission 35 MIA does, so you can get that log like that
Dreamcrawler says
Great Roadmap. Followed your Guide and the only thing remaining are the S-Ranks.
With the Patch 1.03.1 there were many adjustments to weapons like massive Nerfs for Zimmermann or Needler. But also some buffs.
What do you guys think about the impact for Trophy difficulty? Has it become easier now with all the Changes?
Greetings
