Does your TV screen flicker when using PS5? The problem might be caused by the 4K Transfer rate in your console settings. Here’s an easy fix to try:
PS5 Settings > Screen and Video > Video Output > 4K Video Transfer Rate
Here you can adjust the transfer rate of 4K Video Output. If your screen flickers, try selecting a value of -1 or -2 to limit the transfer rate. If this doesn’t fix it, the issue might be with your HDMI cable (make sure you use HDMI 2.1 or newer) or it’s with your TV. You can also try lowering the video output resolution (found in the same PS5 Settings Menu) to see if the issue persists in lower resolutions.

The flikering happends when ur TV is not on Game Mode. PS5 is forced to play on game mode now look better atleast

Hey PowerPyx! I love following your platinum roadmaps! When playing any of my games and also on the home screen, the screen will flicker. I have a TCL tv that does not support HDR, so I turned that off in the PS5 settings. I tried changing resolution and tv input, settings are at HDMI 2.0, 2160p, 4k transfer rate is on -2, but nothing is fixing the flickering. I’ve tried doing everything in safe mode, unplugging everything and plugging it back in, and tried different hdmi ports. Do you have any other ideas? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I might have the same TV as you (same situation that brought me to this thread…), but I actually just changed my resolution down to 1080p, rather, and the flickering is completely gone!
I think we just need better 4K supported TV’s…

Right i have a Samsung Q950TS and I am only having issues with this on fifa. Anyway after doing a lot of investigating and changing, i have managed to get the game to play like this
1- 1080p resolution with HDR on etc and Game Mode
2- I got 4K HRD But turned Game Mode off, However the Samsung TV I have Also have the (game mode settings under an different name when not on game mode)
I am please to say it looks like samsungs game mode for the ps5 is making the picture worse.
I have selected the Neutral profile and disable the tv profiles game mode settings as such) and i have now played fifa with HDR AT 4K with no flickering or issues or slowdowns or anything.
so short term i just wont use game mode

Sony 4K tv lines only with the ps5 I tried 6 hdmi still see lines i Change my hdr screen negative 1 and negative 2 I restart my ps5 still see lines what can I do to stop it I tried so many times
