There are 10 Hunting Challenges in Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor. Completing all of them will earn you the “Master of the Wilds” Trophy or Achievement.
In them you have to track down and kill certain creatures.
All challenges can be done in free roam, but some of them won’t be possible till later in the game (for example Graugs only spawn after reaching the second map).
There are no missable monsters. You can still do everything after beating the story. The challenge progress is displayed on your world map.
The video walkthrough below contains the spawn points of all creatures and how to kill them.
Some of them have random spawn patterns, so it may take a few tries to get them to appear. The Horned Graug is by far the rarest one. If the creatures aren’t spawning, then simply fast travel back to the nearest forge tower and check the location again. It can take up to 20 tries to get the Horned Graug to spawn. The others usually spawn within 1-3 tries.
The easiest way to kill Graugs and Caragors is to mount them and then use the “Dispatch” skill. It will immediately kill the monsters.
