Fire Stone is an evolution item in Pokemon Sword & Shield, combining it with certain Pokemon allows them to evolve into Fire types. This guide shows where to find Fire Stone Location in Pokemon Sword and Shield.
Fire Stone Location:
Fire Stone is found in Motostoke Riverbank (Wild Area). Cross the bridge that’s connecting North Lake Miloch to Motostoke Riverbank. After the bridge, immediately turn left and you’ll see a red Pokeball pickup next to 3 rusted pipes, that’s the Fire Stone right there. The location is the same for both Sword edition and Shield edition.
Fire Stone Location #2:
8 different evolution stone types are found in Lake of Outrage (Wild Area). You need the water bike to reach this area. There’s a big stone circle, behind each stone is a different type of Evo Stone.
Fire Stone Evolutions:
In Sword & Shield you use Fire Stone to evolve the following Pokemon:
Other Evolution Stones:
- Dawn Stone
- Dusk Stone
- Fire Stone
- Leaf Stone
- Ice Stone
- Moon Stone
- Shiny Stone
- Sun Stone
- Thunder Stone
- Water Stone
- Razor Claw
- Tart Apple
- Sweet Apple
- Cracked Pot
- Reaper Cloth
- Protector

Really helpfull but you don’t use the fire stone on clefairy or munna
PowerPyx says
Ooops, I pasted my template from Moon Stone and forgot to change them (these two use Moon Stone not Fire Stone) >_>
Thanks for pointing that out and helping to make the guide better. It’s fixed now.

Thanks for this but is this the only fire stone you can get? I’m a big fan of arcanine and ninetails and its gonna be very frustrating if I need to choose one or the other.
PowerPyx says
I think there are more, still investigating and will update as more are found. Currently it’s the only location that I know of.

I’ve gotten two…I just a third to evolve my ninetales
aza69 says
Well the one in the lake of outrage respawns so just go back the next day
Jafo says
HEY, Taylor where did you get the other ones?
brah says
I’ve gotten one from a poke job. I don’t remember the name, but i think it required water Pokemon to go do a job. don’t know if it is class specific or job specific, but those jobs might have a chance of dropping a fire stone i guess.
PowerPyx says
That’s really interesting! Thanks for sharing that.
Papasbestboy says
I got a fire-stone from the digging minigame, so thats another way
Wolf says
You can also get fire stones from the digging duo! its only 500 W, and i’d recommend the one on the right, as he can go for a much longer time. My max was 16, and i got 3 fire stones! Its in the Wild are, by the Pokemon nursery.
Lightning says
The one on the left has better odds of rarer items, that’s why the one on the right can go for longer
Fidget says
Also you can get it from the digging duo
Peyton says
The awesome thing is that I found a flare on next to the stones in location two so I only have to use the stones on vulpix and growlithe! It’s a win win scenario! 🙂

I cannot see the lake of outrage on my Pokémon shield map, is it a dlc? All I see are watchtower ruins
