Sea of Solitude has 71 Collectible Locations (32 Seagulls, 39 Bottled Messages). Finding all of these collectibles unlocks the trophies listed below and is a requirement for the Platinum.
Some of the collectibles are very well hidden. Seagulls are usually perched on window sills, roofs, railings etc. Bottled messages are usually found inside buildings, on secret roof areas, and some of them on the scripted path.
No collectible is missable! If you’ve missed something along the way, you can use the Chapter Select feature to go back to a specific area where you know there is a collectible to collect it. You don’t even have to replay the whole chapter. Just load the specific area of the chapter you need to revisit and head to the location. We have styled this guide in way that compensates for the lack of trackers in the game. You can jump to the chapter’s section you need as indicated in parentheses. The name of each chapter’s section has been taken from the game’s main menu. In Chapter Select mode, you can back out and load a different area as soon as you’ve picked up what you needed. As a matter of fact, collectibles save as soon as you pick them up, which means if you get killed you don’t need to pick them up again.
Below you can find the location of all collectibles, chapter by chapter in chronological order (Chapter 9 and 11 have none). Using the picture’s background is also a good way to more easily determine the locations to the collectibles since the game doesn’t come with a map accessible from the pause menu.
Trophies unlocked from finding collectibles:
- Uncorked
- Bottled
- Shoo!
- Flock of Seagulls

I’m having a REAL hard time finding Bottled Message #9 – can anyone else clarify where this one is supposed to be? I have only one left and I’m pretty it’s this one.
Bee says
You will see 3 little chimneys….jump on one and then jump left towards the billboard and it’s on that roof.
Pupsi says
Right under the second part of the broken bridge
SpinelesS says
Just a little more detail:
From the previous Bottle it’s directly in front of you on the nearby roof of the building that would be connected to the roof your currently on if the metal bridge wasn’t broken.
Once you drop down to the lower roof, on the right are 3 small chimneys. If you first stand on one of them you can jump from their onto the roof with the other half of the broken metal bridge and walk to the 9th bottle.

Tip for Seagull 27 (which you have to shoo while in midair) Don’t just jump past the seagull, actually aim to slam into the wall below it while spamming shoo.
Cory Jolly says
There is actually no need to “shoo” seagull #27 in Chapter 7: Burning down the House, in the “Kids” area when you go through there. You can just wait and do it without any difficulty whatsoever during Chapter 10: Paint it Black, in the “Memories of Change” area shortly before seagull 31 that you have on here. I know this works because, I gave up trying to jump at it because it wasn’t working for me. So I was gonna bite the bullet and not get the achievement. But then as I was coming through Chapter 10, low and behold, there he was, the little punk, just sitting there with a snow ramp running almost directly up to him. So, yeah…. I hope this helps other people get the achievement who are having a hard time getting the timi g or direction or whatever correct with seagull #27. Just wait and walk right up to it….. have fun gaming.
