Upgrade Item: Scrap Magnetite

Item Description: Magnetic ore mined in Ashina. Base material commonly used in Prosthetic Tool upgrades of intermediate and higher rank. Forging with magnetite produces a hard steel; a precious commodity in Ashina. Bedrock offering up this ore is constantly mined out, making it a rare one at that.

Location:

• Ashina Castle: Ashina Castle – From the Ashina Castle Shrine head back over the bridge and look to the right and you will see a grapple you can get to. Grapple across and there will be a bridge ahead with two enemies. Defeat them and head over the wall ahead and there will be an ogre with a bell and 3 dogs. Take out the dogs and defeat the ogre. Defeating the ogre will award you with this Scrap Magnetite.
• Ashina Castle: Ashina Reservoir – From the Ashina Reservoir Idol make your way forward but head to the left towards the well you started the game in. When you get to the well you will have to fight a purple cloaked Shinobi in a very small area. Upon defeating this cloaked enemy you will receive this item.
• Ashina Castle: Upper Tower – Ashina Dojo -From the Upper Tower – Ashina Dojo head through the door into the boss room. Defeat Ashina Elite – Jinsuke Saze and look in the room off to the left and you will find this in the back of the room.
• Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo: Shugendo – From the Shugendo Idol turn around and you will see a couple pieces of wood sticking out of the side of the cliff forming a narrow path. Use that pathway to reach a landing with a vendor on it. The vendor will sell you up to two of these for 330 Sen each.
• Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo: Shugendo – From the Shugendo Idol head up the mountain taking out the rats in the mushroom hats and climb up the side of the cliff. At the top you will have a long building to your right and an open ledge to your left. Head into the building to the right and you will be face to face with the Armored Warrior. Defeat him and when the fog clears on the other end of the building you can go outside where you sill find this Magnetite on the ground.
• Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo: Temple Grounds – From the Temple Grounds Idol head down into the area with the monks. Jump up over the building they stand in front of and look to the left on the opposite side of the square’s roof. There is a ledge you can climb and from there is a grapple point even higher. Take that up and you will be on a path with monks and shield ogre monk. Take out that ogre and you will get this material.
• Sunken Valley: Sunken Valley – From the Sunken Valley Idol wrap around to the other side of the landing you are on so you are on the other side of the rock to your left with the rat in front of it and this will be laying on the ground.
• Sunken Valley: Sunken Valley – From the Sunken Valley Idol grapple from platform to platform until you reach the platform that houses Snake Eyes Shirafuji. Once on the platform head to the left and down the hill instead of against the wall and you will see this on the floor below.
• Sunken Valley: Sunken Valley – From the Sunken Valley Idol grapple your way down to the platforms below and hug the wall above on the ledge Snake Eyes Shirafuji was on to work your way around the cliff and over the bridge ahead. At the other end of the bridge grapple your way across and start making your way up the side of the mountain until you get to the second gunner on the right up cliffs. This magnetite is on the ledge of the second gunner.
• Sunken Valley: Sunken Valley – From the Sunken Valley Idol grapple your way down to the platforms below and hug the wall above on the ledge Snake Eyes Shirafuji was on to work your way around the cliff and over the bridge ahead. At the other end of the bridge grapple your way across and start making your way up the side of the mountain until you  get to the top. Head up the hill in front of you and take the path to the right but be careful its booby-trapped to set off explosives if you step on the little landmines. They won’t hurt you but they will alert everyone of your presence. Once you have made the right look up the cliff to your left and you will see a lonely gunner on a ledge that you can grapple to. Grapple up and defeat this enemy and look on the landing for an item, This Magnetite is that item.
• Sunken Valley: Gun Fort – From the Gun Fort Idol make your way forward and you will come to a room with Long-arm Gentipede Giraffe in it. Defeat him to lower the fog wall ahead and once its down this Magnetite will be along the wall on the right.
• Ashina Castle: Upper Tower – Kuro’s Room – After the fight with Genechiro Ashina you will head downstairs to meet with Kudo. There is a big shrine in this room and behind the wall on the backside of the shrine is this Magnetite.
• Sunken Valley: Riven Cave – From the Riven Cave Idol continue forward until you swing from a few statues and land on a fallen statue forming a bridge. Turn around facing away from the group of monkeys down below and walk to the platform behind you where the head fell off the statue which has this item on it.
• Ashina Depths: Ashina Depths – From the Ashina Depths Idol head forward into the actual Depths and you will see an item in the hand of a giant statue you can grapple to. That item is this Magnetite.
• Ashina Depths: Ashina Depths – From the Ashina Depths Idol head forward into the actual Depths and you will see an item in the hand of a giant statue you can grapple to. Looking forward there is a statue thats only there from the torso up and looks like it is praying. Behind that is a small campsite, at the base of the campsite is this Magnetite.
• Ashina Depths: Ashina Depths – From the Ashina Depths Idol head forward into the actual Depths and you will see an item in the hand of a giant statue you can grapple to. Look straight down and you will see a campsite with a Large Gunner. Behind the tent is this item on the floor.
• Ashina Depths: Hidden Forest – From the Hidden Forest Idol jump on the branch and hop to the ledge below. Once on that ledge look for the branch that is connecting to the ledge. Get on the branch and immediately look down to your right and you will see this item laying on the floor.
• Sunken Valley: Bodhisattva Valley – Head down into the valley and follow it until you get to the area with 4 monkeys and a white monkey on the path. Take out the monkeys and this will be on that same platform the monkeys were on in the corner.
• Sunken Valley: Bodhisattva Valley – Head down into the valley and take the serpent tunnel to the right. Follow that tunnel until you get to a point where you have to duck under a rock and there are lizards there you have to kill to enter an area with the serpent taking up half the area. On the right side of the snake from where you came is a cliff you can grapple up to. Grapple up and this is one of the items on the floor.
• Sunken Valley: Bodhisattva Valley – Head down into the valley and take the serpent tunnel to the right. Follow that tunnel until you get to a point where you have to duck under a rock and there are lizards there you have to kill to enter an area with the serpent taking up half the area. On the right side of the snake from where you came is a cliff you can grapple up to. Grapple up and instantly turn around and grapple across the way to the ledge on the other side and follow the path in the opposite direction of the snake. At the end of the path is this Magnetite.
• Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo: Temple Grounds – From the Senpou Temple, Mt. Kongo Idol head to the part below where there is a rat near a mechanism with a kite attached. Use your Puppeteer Ninjitsu on the rat and run through the temple ahead with the monks walking around outside and inside until you jump out of the window where the woman that either had Dragonrot or is asking for Rice from the Divine Child is sitting overlooking the edge. From there locate the kite and climb the closest tree and grapple to a ledge on the other side. Follow the path downward until you reach the final ledge before the next idol, on this ledge is this Magnetite.
• Ashina Depths: Mibu Village – From the Idol, hop down into the creek below and follow it downstream until you get to the purple cloaked Shinobi. Upon defeating this shinobi you will receive this Magnetite.
• Abandoned Dungeon: Bottomless Hole – Hop down into the arena with Shichimen Warrior in it and you will find this on the floor along the walls.
