Ascensions in Final Fantasy XV are special abilities / perks that you can buy for AP. There are 8 Ascension skill trees, or “Nexuses” as the game calls them. You gain AP from leveling up, camping, fighting enemies (defeating an enemy with warp-strike always gives 1AP), and doing side activities with your friends. Certain exploration abilities will let you earn AP for driving in your car, riding chocobos etc.
Some Ascensions unlock active new skills (new moves for combat). Others are passive perks that boost your stats. Below you can find a complete list of all Ascensions in FFX and their AP cost. The Nexus category is shown in bold text.
