Battlefield 1 Trophy Roadmap
- Estimated trophy difficulty: 3/10
- Approximate amount of time to platinum: 20-30 hours
- Offline trophies: 22 (11, 8, 2)
- Online trophies: 10 (5, 1, 4, 1)
- Number of missable trophies: 0
- Glitched trophies: 0 (with patch 1.02 and above)
- Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, must beat campaign on hard difficulty.
- Minimum Playthroughs: 1
Step 1: Beat Campaign on Hard Difficulty, Get All 66 Collectibles, Try to Complete as many Codex Entries (Challenges) as possible
Collect all 66 Field Manual Collectibles across the 5 War Stories and beat them all on hard difficulty. Hard is available from the beginning. It is not difficult and you should do this on the first run to save time. Your health recovers automatically after a few seconds. Some missions focus on using certain vehicles (e.g. tanks or planes) and you don’t have to worry too much about infantry enemies in those missions.
You are also advised to complete as many Codex Entries as you can (also known as “challenges”). Some missions have rather easy ones and they can be done on your hard playthrough. Others you may want to replay on a lower difficulty later on. Always open the pause menu at the start of every mission to check what the Codex Entries are for. Knock out the easy ones you’re comfortable with and come back later for the rest (see Step 2).
There are two trophies you may want to look out for (in that order): “Mightier than the shovel” & “Triple Boluk-Bashi”. These are special miscellaneous trophies you can only do in certain places.
Step 2: Complete All Codex Entries & Challenges
After your hard playthrough you may still be missing a few codex entries (challenges). Now it’s time to go back via mission select and mop up what you are missing. This will finish all the campaign related trophies.
Step 3: Multiplayer
Last thing on the list is multiplayer. There are 10 online trophies. The main ones here are the 4 gold trophies for reaching rank 2 with every class (assault, medic, scout, support). You will have to play ~3 hours with each of these classes to reach rank 2. There is a high chance the other online trophies come naturally while doing this. They are mostly progression based. The online trophies in this game are easy and compared to previous Battlefield games not so time consuming.
Battlefield 1 Trophy Guide
World War One Hero Obtain all trophies |
||
Unlock all other trophies in Battlefield 1 to earn platinum (DLC not required).
Operations Win 1 Operation in multiplayer |
||
For this you need to go to Multiplayer and select the game mode “Operations”. Win one playthrough of any operation to earn the trophy (as either the attackers or the defenders).
Counter-sniper Using a bolt action rifle, kill an enemy Scout in multiplayer |
||
This requires you to play as the Scout class in a multiplayer match. In the deployment/respawn screen you can press Triangle to customize your weapons. Select the weapon “SMLE MKIII Marksman”. This is the starting weapon for the Scout class and is unlocked automatically from the beginning. Now kill an enemy sniper with it (2 hits to the body or 1 hit to the head). Camp on a mountain or behind a rock on the edge of the map. Enemy snipers can be seen by the reflection of light in their scopes. Remember you can set the target distance by pressing the DOWN-Button.
There’s a good chance this trophy comes naturally while ranking up with the Scout class. |
||
Play the Objective Complete 25 Squad Orders in multiplayer |
||
The quickest way to get this is by completing your own orders when you are squad leader. Here’s how you do it:
Start a new Conquest match > press Square to create a new Squad (the important part is that you are the squad leader) > during a match hold R1 to set a new squad order. This will let you select a flag to capture. Upon capturing the selected flag the squad order will be complete. Do 25 of your own squad orders to unlock the trophy. You can do this solo. No other players need to be in your squad. Only squad leaders can issue orders, which is why you should create a new squad. When you are squad leader you have a star behind your name. You can also make the squad private by pressing R3 on it. You don’t absolutely have to be squad leader to make this count, but it’s the fastest way to get it solo. You can also play together with friends and when they are squad leader have them issue you an order. There are reports of this trophy not unlocking at 25 completed orders. A fix that worked for many players is to do 25 orders on one and the same server (without disconnecting from it, in one sitting). |
||
Warbonds Earn 450 Warbonds in multiplayer |
||
This will come naturally when you go for rank 10 in multiplayer. Each time you rank up a few warbonds will be earned.
Corporal Reach Rank 10 in multiplayer |
||
You rank up by earning XP, which are awarded for almost anything you do in Multiplayer (killing enemies, capturing flags, defending objectives, completing objectives, destroying enemy vehicles, damaging enemies, helping teammates with revives or ammo refills etc., squad members spawning on you, someone in your vehicle kills someone, doing squad orders…).
A quick way to rank up is by capturing flags in Conquest. Additionally, you may mark objectives if you are the leader of a squad (nobody else has to be in the squad, it can be just you). Completing the objectives you set for yourself will give bonus XP. You can create a new squad by pressing Square in the squad overview. When you are squad leader you have a star behind your name. You can also make the squad private by pressing R3 on it. Now as the squad leader hold R1 to create a Squad Order. In Conquest you can select a flag as your objective. When you capture that flag and set a squad order on it you get more XP. |
||
Assault Enlistment Reach Assault Rank 2 in multiplayer |
||
The fastest way to get this is by playing conquest and capturing as many flags as possible. You have to play as Assault class. This will take roughly 3 hours of playtime, depending on skill.
There are reports of this trophy not unlocking when it should. A fix that worked for many players is to rank up two more times on one and the same server (without disconnecting from it, in one sitting). With patch 1.02 and above the trophies should unlock normally now. They have popped for some players in the loading screen after reconnecting to the online servers. |
||
Medic Enlistment Reach Medic Rank 2 in multiplayer |
||
The fastest way to get this is by playing conquest and capturing as many flags as possible. You have to play as Medic class. This will take roughly 3 hours of playtime, depending on skill.

||
Decorated Reach Rank 1 with all 4 Infantry classes in multiplayer |
||
For this you must rank up once with the 4 classes: Assault, Medic, Scout, Support.
The fastest way to get this is by playing conquest and capturing as many flags as possible. There are reports of this trophy not unlocking when it should. A fix that worked for many players is to rank up one more time with each class on the same server (without disconnecting from it, in one sitting). Up close and personal Perform a melee kill on 10 enemies anywhere in the campaign |
||
This can be done over the course of your entire campaign playthrough. You can also farm it via mission select. Simply run up to an enemy and press R3 to perform a melee kill. Can be farmed super quickly at the start of the mission “O La Vittoria” from the Avanti Savoia War Story.
Mightier than the shovel Find the hidden Cavalry Sword and take down an enemy on the French countryside in the campaign |
||
War Story: Through Mud and Blood At the start of the breakdown mission follow the road to the village. A house on the left has a machine gun on the balcony and a soldier looking out the window. In the same building, on the ground floor, is the cavalry sword. Pick it up and kill an enemy with it. |
||
Shock Wave Kill 5 enemies by using dynamite in the campaign |
||
You can do this in the War Story “Avanti Savoia!” in mission “O La Vittoria”. When the mission starts you have 6 dynamite. There are tons of enemies at the start of the mission. Just throw dynamite near them and blow it up.
Triple Boluk-Bashi Kill all 3 Ottoman officers in Young Men’s Work with melee kills in the campaign |
||
War Story: Nothing is Written During this mission your main objective is to kill 3 Ottoman Officers and steal their satchels. They are automatically marked as main objectives and impossible to miss. The Ottoman Officers wear a different outfit than the rest of the soldiers (black coat). For this trophy / achievement you must get real close to them and perform a melee kill with your knife. You can ride past most enemies with your horse, rush to the Officers and quickly kill them. Dong this will also complete the codex entry “T.E. Lawrence”. |
||
The Great War Complete the campaign on Normal difficulty |
||
Simply complete the Prologue and all 5 War Stories on normal difficulty or higher and watch the credits video at the end (the credits have their own chapter called “Remember Us”). Completing everything on hard difficulty will unlock this, too.
The War to End All Wars Complete the campaign on Hard difficulty |
||
Simply complete the Prologue and all 5 War Stories on hard difficulty and watch the credits video at the end (the credits have their own chapter called “Remember Us”). Doing this will unlock the other difficulty related trophies too. It is not hard at all. Most missions focus on vehicles or stealth. The vehicle missions are very easy because you can repair at any time. While playing as infantry your health regenerates automatically after a few seconds, so just stay in cover when you are wounded. Sneak past enemies wherever you can, or do the objective as quickly as possible and run away to lose the enemies. The campaign is extremely short and easy, so hard difficulty is recommended for the first playthrough.
Make sure you watch the credits video at the end. This will only unlock after beating every other level. The credits have their own chapter called “Remember Us”. The difficulty related trophies will pop after the credits. |
||
Catching up on some reading Collect one Field Manual in the campaign |
||

||

You don’t have to pick them up again when you die and nothing is missable.In mission select you can check how many Field Manuals you have found in each mission and how many are missing. You can also pause a mission at any time to see your collectible progress. Every mission that contains collectibles has a Codex Entry for finding all of them.

Any news if there will be a patch before official release on Friday to fix Rank 1/2 MP trophies?
DE8 says
maybe the today patch fix it
PowerPyx says
Yup just checked – it’s patched now 🙂
All trophies autopop in loading screen for those who didn’t get them before.
Chris says
Mine have yet pop up in menus any ideas why this is ?
Tom says
Mine popped as soon as I joined an online game. Perhaps try just joining a game and they should come up as the game is loading
D says
I’m on Xbox One and I have the glitch as well for the “Scout Enlistment” achievement, so it’s not just certain platforms with the problem. It’s widespread. I’m waiting for a patch to come out myself, it’s pretty annoying to say the least.
styxracer97 says
I completed the Campaign on hard and didn’t get the trophy. Anyone else?
PowerPyx says
You also have to watch the credits video. It unlocks after beating all the levels once.
Make sure you also did the prologue on hard.
Dingus says
So I guess it’s probably safe to reach rank 2,3,6 even. Just don’t max out to rank 10 if you get a glitch before they patch it.
Danny says
Hey buddy! Do you know if they will be working on a fix for his maybe? Should we stay away from multiplayer all together
PowerPyx says
Best to keep away from it completely. You can play it on a different account for fun. I’m always very careful with multiplayer related glitches – nobody knows how/if they will patch it. If they do it the stupid way and don’t make it auto-unlock for everyone who’s already rank 2+ you will be in the same boat as before. Or they could do it the smart way and make it auto-pop. Nobody knows what it will be. Best to wait and stay on the safe side of things.
I’m going to take a wild guess here and say it’s gonna take at least a few weeks, maybe even months to get this sorted. Trophies are at the bottom of every developer’s list of patches. Given how many game breaking glitches there are (across all game modes) they have bigger concerns right now.
There are tons of problems regarding the level system itself (shows different rank in battlelog than in-game, randomly jumps a few ranks e.g. from rank 7 straight to rank 10). My hope is that when they get this patched it will also help with the trophies. The online stats are messed up and this is probably #1 priority on their to-do list, given that it’s a multiplayer driven game and a fundamental thing everyone expects to work.
Personally, I’ll pick it up again at christmas and see if anything changed. Until then I’ll play a few matches for fun on a different account.
vino kannan says
Guys, yes the Rank2 and the Decorated trophies are glitched, but there is a workaround to unlock the trophy. You should rank up twice on the same server to unlock the trophy. For example: if you’re on a Rank 3 on Assault then jump on a Conquest server and keep on playing until you reach Rank 5. the trophy will pop at Rank 5. The caveat for the Decorated trophy is you’ll have to Rank up on all the classes atleast once on the same server. So be ready to have straight 7 to 9 hours of BF1 multiplayer gameplay to unlock all the 5 trophies. This game is really so much fun that you won’t know what time it is. Just have some snacks and drinks besides you and keep playing.
I got all the 5 trophies on a single run (on the same server) playing Conquest within 7 hours. Conquest is the game mode where you can get more score. Keep on capturing the flag and you’ll see yourself on top of the Scoreboard everytime. Guranteed 25k to 40k Score on Conquest if you keep on capturing the flag. On average I was capturing 10 flags on every match Except the map that has only 3 flags.

Hello,
I want to thank you for all quality guides that you performed. Especially the guide related collectible.
If one day you need help with a multi-player game, you can add me on psn (Julmax) I could help you.
Sorry for my english.

Hi buddy
If I complete it on hard, can I gain normal trophy also ??
PowerPyx says
Yes, completing hard unlocks all the other difficulty-related trophies automatically.
Mirkhan says
I complated 16/53 codex entry but still no Putting in the effort trophy. What did i do wrong?
PoorSucker says
@PowerPyx I should have known better and not buy this game with it’s multiplayer trophy requirements. I thought I would be able to manage it as you said it’s fairly easy to progress but I guess im just complete trash in the multiplayer. All I do is deploy -> instant death -> deploy -> instant death -> deploy -> instant death. With 1 or two lucky kills in one game every hour or so. Can’t progress this way as it is no fun at all.
No platinum for me on this one ?
StaticLynX says
Don’t get discouraged. Battlefield is not so much about getting alot of kills like call of duty. Its more about capturing as many territories as possible. Stick with your team and stay low as much as you can. Your better skilled teammates will do most of the dirty work for you. If you get shot, half of the time someone will revive you. It takes a while to get the hang of it and the more you play, you will eventually start getting better at it. Battlefield 1 was my first game of this series and I went through the same thing you are going through. I wanted to quit but my love for getting platinum trophies kept me going. lol
