Mafia 3 – Wrecker Trophy / Achievement Guide – Executed 10 Vehicle Takedowns [Bronze / 15G]
You can do this while being chased by the police. Bring a pistol with enough ammo and drive at high speed. Then press Triangle (PS4) / Y (XB1) to aim at the police car’s tires and shoot them when the little hit-marker turns green. You can toggle between the tires by pressing L1 (PS4) / LB (XB1). At fast speeds the police car will go up in flames and flip upside down. It only counts when the police car flips (again, you must drive fast enough for this).
Sometimes you only need to shoot one tire, sometimes two. To target them you’ll also need to look behind you by pressing the right stick.
It doesn’t have to be in one chase. You can let them kill you and refill ammo.

I have had a lot of troubles getting this trophy too. I just managed it today with the new update 1.10. I reinstalled game, started new game and as soon as I had unlocked weapon van, I hunted down the trophy, and finally got it. Not sure if you need to reinstall game and start new save, but do consider it, if you update game and still can’t unlock it. 🙂
