Rise of the Tomb Raider PS4 Trophy Guide & Roadmap

October 4, 2016 by PowerPyx 16 Comments

Rise of the Tomb Raider Trophy Roadmap

  • Estimated trophy difficulty: 4/10
  • Approximate amount of time to platinum / 100%: ~40h for platinum / ~70h for 100%
  • Trophies: 125 (118trophy, 5trophy, 1trophy, 1trophy)
  • Number of missable trophies: 0 (You can get everything after the story via free roam and chapter replay)
  • Glitched trophies: 3 (Woman of the People, Compulsive and Avid Shopper)
  • Does difficulty affect trophies?: Yes, you must beat it on Survivor difficulty.
  • Minimum Playthroughs: 2 (Survivor difficulty + Score attack)

Step 1: Complete game on Survivor difficulty

You must beat the game on survivor difficulty for the trophy “Ultimate Survivor”. This is the highest difficulty in the game, but it’s totally doable on the first run. The only hard encounters are at the very end of the game. There are relatively few enemy encounters and you can easily take out most enemies in stealth to avoid open combat. The main difference to other difficulties is that your health doesn’t regenerate (you must craft med kits to restore health), you take more damage and enemies have increased health.

It would be beneficial to grab as many collectibles as possible as you play through the game. Not only will this save time later on, but you also receive bonus XP to make your life easier on Survivor difficulty. Especially the challenge tombs provide significant perk unlocks and should be done as soon as possible. Pick up everything you come across – all collectibles get marked on your map after you find the explorer satchel and archivist map for an area and translate the monoliths. Just check your map before moving on to the next area and grab everything you can. Some items are inaccessible until you get certain story upgrades. Also purchase the skill “Intuitive” as it will highlight collectibles through walls and makes them much easier to find.

You needn’t bother with anything else here. Play the game as you wish. There’s nothing missable, just enjoy. You can replay all chapters via expeditions mode and mop up everything else in free roam after the story.

Step 2: 100% Completion

To complete the game 100% you must beat the story, do all side missions, solve the challenge tombs, find all collectibles, and complete all challenges.

There are the following types of collectibles:

  • Relics
  • Documents
  • Survival caches
  • Coin caches
  • Strongboxes
  • Murals

The following are not collectibles, but are progression based tasks you need for 100%:

  • Challenges
  • Optional Missions
  • Challenge Tombs
  • Crypts

The collectibles get marked on your map after finding the explorer satchel and archivist map for an area and translate the monoliths. Some collectibles are in underground areas and may not display correctly on the map. So pay extra attention on challenge tombs, crypts and caves. If you are missing something and it doesn’t show up on the map it is likely in one of those 3 places (or you are missing the map/satchel/monolith). You can view the world map at any time and scroll over a region to see how many collectibles can be found there. You can fast travel back to all places that have completion based items (even to the syrian tomb). You can also check for available challenges by pressing Triangle on the world map and scrolling down to the challenges tab. The skill “Intuitive” is highly recommended because it highlights collectibles through walls.

Step 3: Miscellaneous Trophies

After reaching 100% completion you might be missing a few combat related or miscellaneous trophies. Most of these can be completed in free roam after finishing the story. Some of them are easier via chapter replay. The trophy guide below points out the best locations and farming spots for all of these. Combat trophies can also be unlocked in DLCs, you don’t have to do them in the main game.

Step 4: Expeditions Mode / Score Attack

The last step is to get a gold medal in all levels and unlocking 300 cards in expeditions mode. For this you must reach a certain highscore in each level which is based on your completion time, selected difficulty, card modifiers and challenges. Some modifiers will make the game harder (i.e. start level without ammo) and in exchange you get a significant score boost. It’s not too difficult thanks to the free choice of modifiers and the x3 multiplier for survivor difficulty. You also get tons of credits and free card packs from completing the main game 100% – just buy the cheapest card packs and you shouldn’t have any trouble unlocking 300 cards in total.

Rise of the Tomb Raider Trophy Guide

Platinum
You unlocked every trophy in the game
Unlock all other 65 trophies of the base game to earn platinum (DLC trophies not required).
Firestarter
Defeat 2 enemies or more using a single Molotov Cocktail

You can craft molotov cocktails by pressing R1 while holding a bottle in your hands. You can actually do this when you learn how to craft molotovs for the first time. Replay the chapter “The Copper Mill” via expeditions mode. Very early in the chapter you pick up a bottle and some pieces of cloth to craft the molotov. When you encounter the very first group of enemies there are 3 guys standing close together. Throw the molotov at them.

Bar Brawl
Melee kill an enemy using a bottle

This requires the skill “Deadly Force” from the brawler skill tree. You can get this easily by replaying the chapter “Acropolis” via expeditions mode. There are two bottles in the first area with enemies. Take a bottle and sneak up to one of the enemies. Hit them with the bottle from behind and you’re done.

Rapid Recovery
Heal yourself in combat 3 times
To heal yourself you need med kits. Crafting a med kit requires 1 leaf and 1 cloth. Simply hold down L1 to heal yourself. Repeat this three times for the trophy to unlock.
Renegade
Melee 5 enemies off a ledge

When enemies stand near a ledge you must press Triangle to perform a melee attack with your axe. Each strike will knock them back a little further until they fall off the ledge. Replay the chapter “The Copper Mill” via expeditions mode for this. You can do this against the first enemy group you encounter in the chapter. It can be farmed via checkpoint restart. Knock enemy off ledge, reload checkpoint and repeat. Just make sure you don’t kill all 4 enemies as it will create a new checkpoint after that. Only kill 1-3 and reload. On survivor difficulty you can attack them more often before they die (giving you a better chance to push them over the ledge). Also make sure the enemies notice you before attacking them. Otherwise you will perform a stealth takedown.

Triple Threat
Kill 3 enemies with 1 Shotgun blast

The perfect spot for this trophy is in the chapter “The Soviet Installation”. When you go there the first time you won’t have unlocked the shotgun yet. So you’ll have to use Chapter Replay Elite via expeditions mode (this will let you keep all your equipment and skill unlocks). After a cutscene you are in a room with two enemies investigating their injured comrade on the floor. Just wait behind cover until they move to the generator with the oil leak. A third enemy will join them. Now they are all standing close together. Sneak up from behind, get really close to them and line up your shot. This should easily let you kill all 3 in one hit (they are unarmored).

There is a checkpoint right here, so you can retry if you fail. Make sure you select adventurer difficulty for this! On survivor the enemies can take a lot more damage and might not die from one shot. Upgrading the shotgun damage is also beneficial for this, but not absolutely needed. In the video I did it without any upgrades.

Alternatively, you can also do this in the Croft Manor DLC when fighting the zombies. Grab the shotgun from the upper floor and wait for 3 of them to stand close together, then shoot them.

A Trusty Old Friend
Kill 5 enemies within 10 seconds using any rifle

A good spot is at the start of the chapter “Acropolis”. You can replay it in expeditions mode. Select the lowest difficulty to kill the enemies in 1-2 hits. There are more than enough enemies in the first encounter. Shoot with an unsilenced weapon and wait for the enemies to gather up. Then shoot them quickly with the AK-47.

Fearless
Defeat a Deathless Swordsman using only melee attacks and a finisher

First you must learn the 3 skills Dodge Counter, Dodge Kill and Dodge Kill Mastery from the Brawler skill tree. Deathless Swordsmen can be found at the end of the story. They attack you with two swords. A good spot is in the chapter “Path of the Deathless” (can be replayed via expeditions mode). The first enemy you encounter is a swordsman. When he attacks press Circle to dodge, this triggers a timed event in which you must press Triangle at the correct time to perform a counter attack. During the timed event a circle will fill up. Wait for it to show the Triangle button prompt.

Fall Guys
Kill 10 enemies by shooting them in the leg
Self-explanatory and straight forward. Aim for people’s legs and shoot away. A good farming location is the chapter “Acropolis”. You can replay it via expeditions mode. You can also farm kills via checkpoint restart.
One-Sided Conversation
Stealth kill an enemy while they are having a conversation
There’s a high chance this will come naturally as you play through the game. Enemies will often be talking to each other. Sneak up to one of them and press triangle to do a stealth kill. You can do this in the chapter “Acropolis” (can be replayed via expeditions mode). In the first enemy area there are a few enemies talking to each other. You can also find talking enemies in free roam after beating the story and they do respawn.
Glub Glub Glub
Drown 3 enemies using a water finisher

This requires you to be swimming in water and grab an enemy who is standing near a ledge. Press triangle to pull them underwater. There are multiple opportunities for this throughout the game and you may very well get this naturally without trying. A good spot is at the very start of the chapter “Approaching Storm”. You can replay it via expeditions mode. At the start you will be swimming in the water and there’s one enemy standing by a ledge. Kill him using the water finisher and reload the checkpoint. Repeat 3 times.

Blade of Justice
Perform 25 special stealth kills with the knife
First you must buy the “Deadly Force” skill from the brawler skill tree. This will change the animation of your stealth kills to make them count as “special”. Sneak up to an unaware enemy and press Triangle . If you’ve already beaten the story you can still find enemies in free roam (e.g. fast travel to Siberian Wilderness, there’s always a group of enemies here. They respawn when you fast travel to another campfire and then come back).

I was unable to get this via checkpoint restart or chapter replay. It has to be done in story mode. It doesn’t matter if another enemies notices you when you do the “stealth” takedown. As long as Lara has started her knife takedown animation it will count, regardless of whether or not you are being spotted in the process.

Was That Really Necessary?
Kill any animal with an explosive
This is best done with explosive arrows. You unlock them automatically near the end of the story. Simply fast travel to an area with lots of animals, e.g. Geothermal Valley and shoot an animal with the explosive arrow.
Reading the Past
Translate a Monolith
Monoliths are stone pillars with an engraving on them. You need a certain level of language proficiency to translate them. You increase your proficiency by interacting with objects (mostly documents and murals) around the world. By far the easiest monolith is the first one you find in Syria. It requires Greek level 1. Investigate the wall paintings around the room to quickly reach level 1. Now inspect the monolith again to translate it.
Weaponsmith
Fully upgrade any weapon
By far the easiest weapon to upgrade is the climbing axe. It has only 4 upgrades. Unlike other weapons it does not require the refinement tool to be fully upgraded. Gather the required resources and upgrade it at any campfire.
Craftswoman
Craft 5 pieces of Equipment
At any campfire select “Inventory” > “Equipment”. Here you can craft new quivers, ammo pouches etc.

These upgrades are geared towards more inventory space. They let you carry more resources and ammo. Crafting them requires animal hide and cloth. Some require exotic animal skins (such as bear hide). Craft any 5 of them to unlock the trophy.

Master Fletcher
Craft 25 of each special arrow type (Fire, Grenade, Poison)
To craft special arrow types you need certain resources. You unlock all 3 arrow types automatically as part of the story. The crating materials are as follows:

Poison:

  • Normal Arrows
  • Cloth
  • Mushrooms

Fire:

  • Normal Arrows
  • Cloth
  • Oil

Grenade:

  • Normal Arrows
  • Cloth
  • Magnesite

The process is simple. Shoot off 3 arrows, then press  to select an arrow type and craft it by holding R1.
It will craft 3 arrows each time (so to get 25 you must repeat this 9 times for each arrow type). You don’t have to be at a campfire for this. Arrows can be crafted anywhere, at any time.

Self-Improvement Junkie
Purchase all skills in a single category
When you focus all your skill points on a single category from the beginning this will unlock rather quickly. You will get way more skill points than you need. It’s beneficial to get the skill “Finesse” as early as possible because it increases the XP you get from finding collectibles. It will make a huge difference over the course of the game. The skill “Finesse” grants bonus XP on stealth kills and headshots.
Fluent
Reach max proficiency in any language
The 3 languages and their maximum proficiencies are:

  • Greek: Level 7
  • Russian: Level 3
  • Mongolian: Level 2

You increase your level by interacting with murals, reading documents and finding other collectibles. This will come naturally when going for 100% game completion. You only need to max out one language, not all three.

Laying Down the Law
Kill 6 enemies with the Revolver without reloading

The revolver is the first firearm you unlock (during the Soviet Installation chapter). For the trophy you must kill 6 enemies without reloading. The revolver can hold 7 rounds so you are allowed to miss a shot (7 shots to do 6 kills). You should shoot the enemies in the head for an instant kill. A good spot for this is at the very start of the chapter “Acropolis”. There are 6 enemies here and you can kill them with headshots.

English Pedigree
Headshot an enemy with an arrow from a distance beyond 25m

This can be done in the chapter “Acropolis” via expeditions mode. At the very start of the chapter you encounter a group of 3 unaware enemies. When you reach them go back the way you came. Go as far back as you can and shoot one of them in the head with an arrow.

Chemical Warfare
Kill 5 enemies with one Poison Arrow

You can do this against the first group of enemies in the chapter “Acropolis” via expeditions mode. Alert the enemies by getting detected or shooting up the place. Then go back to the tent where you came from. Hide behind the box near the tent and let the enemies come to you. There should be 5 or more very close together. You can also shoot an arrow in their knees to slow them down. Poison arrows can be crafted using normal arrows, mushrooms and cloth.

Keen Eye
Unearth 40 Survival Caches
Survival Caches are a type of collectible. They will get marked on your map automatically when you find Explorer Satchels. See “No Stone Unturned” for all collectible info.
The Price of Truth
Finish the game on any difficulty
Story-related, unlocks automatically at the end of the story. This stacks with the trophy for beating the game Survivor difficulty.
Looking for Trouble
Complete 5 Challenges
To view active challenges open your world map and press triangle. When you scroll over the world map you can also see how many challenges there are per region. See “No Stone Unturned” for all collectible info.
Good Samaritan
Complete 3 Missions
For this trophy you must do 3 side missions. These get marked on your map automatically when they are nearby. When you scroll over your map it tells you how many there are per region. See “No Stone Unturned” for more info.
Dead Ringer
Get 25 headshots using the Bolt-Action Rifle
After unlocking the Bolt-Action Rifle you can equip it at any campfire. To unlock it you must find 4 parts in strongboxes. These strongboxes get marked on your map when you pick up the explorer satchels.
Use the Bolt-Action Rifle to do 25 headshots. If you’ve already beaten the story you can still find enemies in the Siberian Wilderness. Fast travel back and forth to make them respawn and farm the kills here.I was unable to get this via checkpoint restart or chapter replay. Make sure you do it in story mode. Furthermore, it has to be the Bolt-Action Rifle you unlock from finding the 4 required parts. The Goldenfang rifle (which is unlocked automatically) does not count for this.
Quick and Painless
Shoot 15 deer in the heart
To make this easier you should first get the two Hunter skills “Anatomical Knowledge” (unlocks automatically by completing Catacomb of Sacred Knowledge challenge tomb in the Geothermal Valley) and “True Shot” (must buy double shot & triple shot skills). This will highlight and automatically target an animal’s heart when using survival instinct and aiming the bow.

You can find deer in 3 regions: Siberian Wilderness, Soviet Installation and Geothermal Valley. Their possible spawn locations are marked on the map via a deer-symbol. They don’t always spawn, so just fast travel around until you find some and repeat.

Challenging
Complete any Challenge Tomb
Challenge tombs get marked on your map automatically when they are nearby. On the world map you can see how many there are per region. See “Tomb Raider” for a full walkthrough.
Tomb Raider
Complete all Challenge Tombs

Challenge tombs get marked on your map automatically when they are nearby. On the world map you can see how many there are per region.

Woman of the People
Complete every Mission
For this trophy you must do all 9 side missions (5 in Soviet Installation, 4 in Geothermal Valley). These get marked on your map automatically when they are nearby. There are also follow-up missions that only unlock after completing a previous side mission. When you scroll over your map it tells you how many there are per region. See “No Stone Unturned” for more info.

Compulsive
Complete every Challenge
To view active challenges open your world map and press triangle. When you scroll over the world map you can also see how many challenges there are per region. All of them require you to find or destroy certain items. None of them are missable, you can go back to all areas after beating the game. Some of the challenges cannot be done right away cause they require certain upgrades (which you unlock automatically over the couse of the story).

Here is a playlist for all 18 challenges: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLRr5L69yg_kEO-H2iKRF03gTlsrimwNNI

Trick Shot
Shoot a bottle out of the air

Bottles can be found throughout the game. If you don’t want to look around, just fast travel to the campfire “Ruins Encampment” in the Geothermal Valley. There is a basket with infinite bottles next to the campfire.

Throw the bottle and use a shotgun to shoot it ouf of the air (rifle / sub-machine gun also works well).

Rotisserie
Shoot a chicken out of the air with a fire arrow

In free roam, fast travel to the campfire “Valley Farmstead” or “Ruins Encampment” in the Geothermal Valley. There are usually some chickens near those campfires (if they are not there, fast travel between the two camps and they will spawn in). Run up to a chicken and press Square to grab it. Now drop it down by selecting the bow in the weapon wheel. The chicken will get stuck with its head in the ground and for some reason this counts as being in the air. While the chicken is stuck helplessly you must ready a fire arrow and shoot it. Of course you can also do it the legit way and actually throw it up in the air above you, then quickly shoot a fire arrow and hit it mid-air.

Quite the Collector
Collect 150 Cards
See trophy “These Belong in A Museum”.
These Belong in A Museum
Collect 300 Cards
Cards are only available in Expeditions Mode. This requires an online connection! You don’t need 300 cards at the same time. You may consume the cards as you wish, they will still count towards this trophy.

Cards act as modifiers when you replay chapters in expeditions mode. You can buy them with credits from the marketplace. You get credits by replaying chapters or getting the gold medals in score attack. You also receive lots of free card packs and credits from completing the main game 100% (can be redeemed in the gifts section of marketplace).

Each pack has 5 cards, so you need to buy 60 packs in total. The marketplace has different rarity packs available. For the trophy you should only buy the cheapest option for 5000 credits.
60 card packs x 5000 credits = 300,000 credits total.

After completing the game 100% you should have enough credits to get close to 300 cards. Each gold medal in score attack is worth an extra 10,000 credits.
When you spend your credits wisely and stick to the cheapest packs you shouldn’t have any trouble at all and it will come naturally as you go for the other expedition trophies.

Way to Go
Complete every level in Score Attack with a bronze score or better
 See “Golden Child” trophy.
Golden Child
Complete every level in Score Attack with a gold score
Score Attack can be played in expeditions mode (selected from the title screen). In this mode you will have to replay chapters and challenge tombs from the main game, but there’s a certain highscore for each level. You increase your score in several ways: finish the mission as fast as possible, collect blue spheres, shoot yellow lanterns, play on survivor difficulty (x3 point bonus), do stealth chain-kills, headshots, combat finishers, select card modifiers that increase the score multiplier, don’t take damage, don’t die. Really what it comes down to is speed-running the entire game again on highest difficulty with added modifiers that make it harder. There are a total of 27 levels. Challenge tombs count as levels, too. They only show up after completing them in the main game.

The cards give you a lot more choice over the possible score outcome. Some give a great score boost without affecting the gameplay too much. When you play on Survivor difficulty you can disable health regeneration for a score boost. Health regeneration is disabled on survivor anyways. Most sections have no enemies at all or you can stealth kill them, so choose the mod that makes you start with zero ammo (you can pick up enough ammo along the way).

There is another trick to make this a lot easier (credit to Aruberikku for finding this):

From the main menu go to Leaderboards, then press rise-of-the-tomb-raider-trophy-guide-roadmap till you find the level you want to try. Now press rise-of-the-tomb-raider-trophy-guide-roadmap on someone with a high score.
It will show you the details of their run, including which cards they used. If you’d like to run a mission with the same cards, just press rise-of-the-tomb-raider-trophy-guide-roadmap again and select “Yes” on the confirmation. This will cost 2000 credits, but you can use the same cards as the person on the leaderboard without owning them yourself.

Gilded
Complete a level in Score Attack with a gold score
 See “Golden Child” trophy.
Well Begun Is Half Done
Complete 10 levels in Score Attack with a gold score
 See “Golden Child” trophy.
My Own Worst Enemy
Complete a level in Score Attack with a score multiplier of 2 or more
In Score Attack, replay a challenge tomb and equip cards with negative effects until you see a 200% score multiplier (or more). Cards that block health regeneration or let you start with zero ammo are great score boosters. Challenge tombs are very short and don’t have any enemies.
Iron Will
Complete a level in Score Attack using 5 cards
When starting a level in score attack you can select up to 5 card modifiers. These can have positive or negative effects, but it doesn’t matter which ones you choose for this trophy. Just replay a short challenge tomb and select any 5 cards. Challenge tombs are by far the quickest and easiest levels. The trophy pops at the end of the level. You can also use permanent cards for this.
That All You Got?
Complete 3 Replay Challenges in one Score Attack
When starting a level in score attack you can select up to 5 challenges. Examples of challenges include picking up collectbles, completing sections in a set time, doing certain types of kills etc.
Just replay a short mission and complete 3 out of your chosen 5 challenges. Challenge tombs work really well for this.
The Chosen Few
Uncover the remains of all Jacob’s disciples
This trophy requires you to complete all 5 crypts that are found in the open world (2 in Soviet Installation, 2 in Geothermal Valley, 1 in Lost City). Learning the skill “Intuitive” reveals their locations on the map. You’ll get this automatically as you go for 100% game completion.
Avid Shopper
Purchase all items from the supply shack
The supply shack is found in the Soviet Installation area. You will unlock it automatically while progressing through the game. In this shack you can buy new weapons and equipment by spending coins. The main source for coins is from translating monoliths and then picking up the coin caches (translating a monolith reveals the nearby coin locations). You also find smaller amounts of coins throughout the open world and in challenge tombs. After reaching 100% game completion you will have enough coins to purchase everything in the shack. Pay extra attention on the coins in crypts, tombs and other underground areas. These don’t always show up on the map, so if you’re missing something visit these locations again to take a look.
Quite A Tumble
Survive the avalanche
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
Following in Father’s Footsteps
Enter the Syrian tomb
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
Tougher Than She Looks
Survive a night in the Siberian wilderness
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
Strange Acquaintance
Rescue Jacob from the gulag
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
Taking the High Road
Light the signal fire in the Remnant Valley
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
A Helping Hand
Defend Remnant home from the Looter Invasion
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
The Key To It All
Recover the Atlas
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
Whatever It Takes
Rescue Jonah from Konstantin
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
The Road Less Travelled
Unlock the path to Kitezh
Story-related, unlocks automatically during the story.
Ultimate Survivor
Finish the game on Survivor difficulty
Survivor is the highest difficulty in the game.

  • Aim assistance is disabled
  • Health regeneration is disabled (must craft med kits)
  • Enemies have increased health, damage, and senses
  • More challenging enemy types will be present
  • Resources are more scarce, and upgrades are more expensive
  • Using a camp requires resources

It may sound a bit daunting, but it’s really not hard at all. The game is mostly exploration based and has few enemy encounters. The enemies in the early game don’t have any armor and can be one-hitted with the bow (which is silent and won’t reveal your location). Later the enemies get armor, but you can easily take them out with poison arrows and explosive arrows. Poison arrows are the best because they affect a larger area and can kill an entire group of enemies at once. Keep in mind you can craft arrows at any time without having to be at a campfire. You should always carry enough resources with you to make some special arrows. If you run out of resources you can fast travel to another area to farm them. Keep a fair amount of med kit resources with you at all times (herbs & cloth).

Furthermore, there are several skills that make your life easier (e.g. “Thick-Skinned” which lets you take significantly more damage). Some challenge tombs also provide useful bonuses – especially the one called “Voice of God” as it will automatically restore your health one time per enemy encounter. The only noteworthy encounters are at the end of the game within the last 60 minutes of the story. Everything else is surprisingly easy because you can stealth your way through it. The bow and silent melee kills let you clear out most areas without being detected.

At the end of the game you should wear the outfit “Immortal Guardian”. It significantly decreases the damage you take from archers. For the rest of the game pick the outfit “Spirit Weaver”, it will sometimes let you heal your wounds without consuming a med kit.

You should also grab as many collectibles as you can. They provide good XP bonuses to level up more quickly. The skills from the Hunter and Brawler skill trees are the most useful ones.

Paying Respects
Attend a funeral

The funeral takes place in the chapter “Flooded Archives” (can be replayed via expeditions mode if you missed this opportunity). At the very end of the chapter, after returning from the Flooded Archives to the Geothermal Valley, the story waypoints lead you up a hill to the observatory. Now wait till you reach the campfire / base camp called “Ridgeline”. When standing at that campfire go a few meters down the hill and there’s a little plateau / grassy area on the side of the path. There are people gathering for a funeral. Stand near them and the trophy unlocks.

Attention: Do NOT go to the mission objective near the campfire. Doing so will end the mission and you’d have to replay it all over again.

Zipper
Perform a manual zip line transfer

A manual zip line transfer is when you press circle to manually let go off the zip line and drop to another zip line below you. A good spot for this is at the campfire / base camp called “Copper Mill Bridge” (in south-east of Soviet Installation region). There are two long zip lines connected to each other. While sliding down the first zip line you must press circle just a second before Lara lets go off it automatically. When you drop onto the next zip line the trophy unlocks. If you fail just restart the checkpoint to get teleported back to the campfire.

Quiet Time
Find the best seat in the house

Fast travel to the campfire / base camp called “Ruins Encampment” in the Geothermal Valley. Very close to the campfire are the ruins of an old tower. On top of that tower is a wooden chair you can interact with. Press Square to sit down and the trophy unlocks. Do not confuse with the signal tower you had to light up during the story. The tower in question is near a monolith and you have to swing over there from another tower via a tree branch.

No Guts, No Glory
Perform a 2.5 second or longer swan dive

This can be done at the waterfall near the campfire / base camp called “Ridgeline” in the Geothermal Valley. There’s a little diving board on top of the waterfall. Jump down the cliff just one step to the right of the diving board (not from the board itself) and immediately press and hold L2 to do a swan dive. If you don’t get it on the first try reload the checkpoint to be back at the campfire. When you jump off the board directly it sometimes doesn’t work. Jumping off the cliff to the right makes it a bit easier.

Untouchable
Replay 5 different levels without taking any damage
For this you must replay chapters via expeditions mode. You are not allowed to take any damage at all in 5 chapter replays (this includes falling damage!). Challenge Tombs count as levels, too. After completing a challenge tomb in the main game you can replay it via expeditions mode. Just replay 5 challenge tombs and you should get this easily. There are no enemies in tombs.
Bacon!
Kill a razorback boar using a Molotov cocktail

Razorback Boars are found in the Geothermal Valley. They are marked with a boar-icon on the world map. Pick up a bottle (e.g. at the “Ruins Encampment” base camp there’s a crate with bottles) and craft it into a molotov cocktail. Then throw it at a boar.

Boars don’t always show up. If you can’t find any, fast travel back and forth between other regions and come back later.

Huntress
Kill 50 animals while wearing the Huntress outfit
The Huntress Outfit is unlocked after doing 2 quests for a woman in the Geothermal Valley. Her side quests are marked on the map when you come near her. She wants you to shoot down some drones and then collect some resources for her. After her questline is done you can equip the Huntress Outfit at any campfire.

Good farming spots for the 50 animal kills are at at the campfires “Ruins Encampment” and “Valley Farmstead” (both of which are found in Geothermal Valley). There are lots of chickens at both campfires. Fast travel between the campfires to make them respawn and repeat until you have 50 kills. With this method it only takes 5-10 minutes to earn the trophy.

Siberian Ranger
Beat 15 combat encounters after completing the game
After finishing the story you can still find enemies in the open world. They will just keep respawning. I farmed all my combat encounters in the Siberian Wilderness Region. Each time I fast traveled there the enemies respawned near the campfire. Just go around the area, shooting in the air with a rifle to lure the enemies. Kill all of them, fast travel away and fast travel back to the Siberian Wilderness. Repeat this process until you have wiped out 15 enemy groups. You can kill them quickly with explosive arrows and poison arrows.
No Stone Unturned
Achieve 100% game completion
To complete the game 100% you must beat the story, do all side missions, solve the challenge tombs, find all collectibles, and complete all challenges.

There are the following types of collectibles:

  • Relics
  • Documents
  • Survival caches
  • Coin caches
  • Strongboxes
  • Murals

The following are not collectibles, but are progression based tasks you need for 100%:

  • Challenges
  • Optional Missions
  • Challenge Tombs
  • Crypts

The collectibles get marked on your map after you find the explorer satchel and archivist map for an area and translate the monoliths. They are also highlighted when you use survival instinct near them (press R3). Some collectibles are in underground areas and may not display correctly on the map. So pay extra attention on challenge tombs, crypts and caves. If you are missing something and it doesn’t show up on the map it is likely in one of those 3 places (or you are missing the map / satchel / monolith).

Hey, you probably already figured this out but if not you need to set the appropriate challenge for each trophy before starting a mission when you select the cards. There is a challenge called nope and same for the rest of the trophies. It’s a bit annoying cause you can only set 5 challenges so choose them carefully for each run. Like the 10 days surviving, make sure you do it with the 10 days survived AND escaped with at least 10 artifacts. I did most the surviving ones all together. This also applies to the cold darkness trophies with setting the challenges before starting.

Also, for the skillful raider trophy, you are going to want the bright eyes codex skill which shows traps in survival instincts. I was lucky and had the card ‘tomb raider’ in gold (reusable) which gives all skills including codex skills. Use survival instincts constantly in tombs, be careful sometimes they have a collapsible floor right as you enter. Shoot ALL the traps you have to pass with your weapon, this doesn’t fail the challenge/trophy but setting them off yourself when it goes in slow motion will fail the challenge. keep using survival instincts heading out too, because I had 2 tombs that had traps on the way out that weren’t there on the way in (weird?). Also make sure you have a completely full food meter before entering. You get hungry fast and a few times I was dying on the way out and struggling to find food straight away when I got out.

The untouchable trophy is not unlocking for me. I’ve played more than five challenge tombs without getting damaged, but I’ve done it offline does that affect the trophy? Should I be connected to Square Enix servers?

I don’t think you absolutely have to be connected to the servers for it. Still worth a try.
Some of the trophies glitch out every now and then. Keep trying and if nothing works consider reinstalling the game and trying it online.

It worked when I was playing the tombs on score attack, worth mentioning in the guide about combining this with the score attack playthrough. I can’t find the guide for the DLCs here or anywhere else, especially expeditions DLCs. Can you please point me to the guides with a link? Thankyou.

I meant Endurance! Why can’t I edit that post? I can’t find the option to do that 🙁

I cannot get the challenge “It Tastes Good” to respond when I kill my first wolf with the Poison arrows and eat it-its registered once but now it won’t register at all on repeated plays and wolves seem to only appear on the 1st day.

Can you get the survivor trophy out of order? By bouncing around the replay chapters?

Started playing this when it was on PS+ monthly games. I got both Dead Ringer and and Blade of Justice trophies by restarting checkpoint on Acropolis. Took about 10 mins for both trophies.

For the 300 card trophy can you sell your cards to buy more or are you only allowed to use them in game play?

    Thanks

I’ve finished the game and I’m trying to get the last combat trophies (blade of justice, bravo’s legacy and the wraith of Siberia, specifically). I’ve tried everything: elite chapter replay, score attack, endurance. The trophies won’t pop no matter what I do.

    Any suggestions?
