Yynemo says
Does anyone know how to save Simon during the revolution?
Yynemo says
Alright I got it
Rookie2171 says
how?
Ben G says
You gotta shoot the people above on the left.
Jake Wong says
I can’t seem to throw the grenade. The people behind it have a locked option so I can’t ask for cover fire, does Simon need to be alive or something?
Jake Wong says
JUST FIGURED IT OUT!
Gotta look up, shoot at the people in the crane thing first, and then the group behind the dumpster will move up and you can ask them for cover fire.
Dinges says
Anyone knows how to get “Simon got shot” if the attack on the machine gun fails?
I tried (north alleady dead), but Marcus is heading to the store, without Simon got shot.
ChollaSprings says
The wiki says that the probability of success has to reach 0% before Simon “rushes forward and gets injured”, but I’m not sure how to do this.
sandman1008 says
Going off of the above comment, you do need to reach 0% before Simon rushes forward and gets shot. The way I did it, I had troops cover fire and let the timer run out. After the timer runs out (11 seconds), they get shot, and your success % drops about 10%. You do need to be careful not to do that too many times, otherwise you may get injured and killed (or have Simon give you his heart).
Another thing you can do, which I did to an extent, is stay still and not do anything. That will take a long time, though. You lose about 5% every minute or so. So, a combination of the two methods is the best way to go.
Mark Katugampola says
I’m the first assault don’t move and let the timer run out
ChollaSprings says
Anyone has any idea of why North isn’t coming with Markus to the store in my playthrough? She is still alive and her status is listed as “companion”.
ChollaSprings says
Oh, I think I get it. Reading the wiki with more attention made me think that Connor has to be a deviant or dead by this point, so that “soldiers surround store” can happen. Need to test this out.
Gumbo says
I got the “lover” status and she got killed in the final scene when Markus, Josh, and Simon jumped out of the ship. The key is to get yourself injured so you could not save her. I fucked up when they let you choose to either jump on the guard shield or ladder.
Clannoc says
Any ideas on how to “send North to her death”? I’m trying it on a playthrough where she loves Markus, maybe it only works when she doesn’t like him as much?
Yynemo says
The machine gun checkpoint, you’ve to send her group to “Charge” at the enemy.
Clannoc says
I did that, but they actually won. I told the other two groups to stay and fire.
Zach says
Just send all 3 groups (charge) at once.
Grafon44ik says
does anyone now how to unlock “Sim9n offers his heart”? it doesn’t unlocks
hauntedplants says
Sorry if this is a little late, but to get Simon to offer his heart you basically have to send Markus to high risk areas so he gets shot several times. You need to either have a very low reputation with North (neutral or lower I think?) or have her be dead to trigger Simon offers his heart.
Julie says
How can I save Simon during the revolution? After he got shot ?
Michelle W. says
Use R1 to lookup, and you’ll see a shooter in a higher spot. Press L1 to aim, then X to shoot.
Bridget says
Hi, two whole entire years later (lol),
You need to shoot the guard up in the tower to the left and take care of the guards. There are three groups of androids behind you (two to the left, one to the right – press circle to switch sides) that will provide covering fire. Once you’ve done all that, the area above Simon should move from “High Risk” to “Low Risk” at which point you can move in and save him.
erbkaiser says
For ‘Josh is Shot’, you just need to NOT choose to rescue him after he leaves cover. Tilt the camera more to the right and you can go straight for the next cover, especially if you let your troops give cover fire first.
NB says
Markus and North don’t have to be lovers for her to take a bullet for him in the Defending the barricade part. I just played through that part, let Markus get shot & North still saved him even though they were just friends. So please, fix that.
NA says
I’ve accepted the detonator but I can get the “observe detonator” in Demonstartion, I’ve tried doing everything first then hoping I would get prompted for it but it never came, can anyone help?
Milena says
Yeah, I can’t get see detonator neither. Someone knows how?
shim says
North has to be alive for the event to trigger, at least that’s the only way it worked for me
Greger39 says
Can someone help me with Simon get shot? I have been trying everything cover fire , waiting out , storm but don’t want to run and get shoot. By the way North is dead. Do I miss something or it’s the glitch?
Laura Ward says
I’m assuming you mean at the end when you’re at the machine gun. To do this, you basically have to let the success rate drop to zero (tell all 3 groups to charge instead of covering fire) eventually it will drop to zero and Simon should get shot. (fyi, I haven’t done this myself yet but this is what happened with North and machine Connor)
Mark Katugampola says
In the first assault you order others to cover, don’t move and let the timer run out
Pumpkin says
When defending the barricade, how do I check detonator?
Master says
Well obviously you have you have taken it from North when she offers it in Crossroads. Don’t quote me, but if memory serves it will then come up automatically after you again talk to her in the barricade, so make sure she is still there.
DarkCreature says
You can only check the detonator IF North is with you. Still can’t understand why this should be the case.
Imaginary92 says
I got North to offer me her heart even though we were companions, not lovers. And Simon was still alive. So I think the only requirement for getting her to offer Markus her heart is to have good reputation with her, it doesn’t require the lovers status.
Jabbs says
I also can’t get Simon to get shot during the machine gun scene either…. North died during Crossroads, and I have deviant Connor. Do I need machine Connor for this? It shouldn’t matter, right, because Markus goes to the store anyway…. I’m having all three groups doing Stand By (“FOR JERICHO!”) and shooting at the machine gun until they die. On the third attempt, my success rate is 08%, and then after the third attempt, it drops down to 0%. And still, some rando android gets shot, not Simon…. is this a glitch, or am I doing something wrong?
Perry says
I just tried this as well, did you send the troops always to CHARGE?
Pam says
For Simon Got Shot. I have tried all of the above solutions but it won’t unlock. I get 0% success rate but no matter how I get that (charge, cover fire, wait it out etc, every single time the success rate reaches 0% a random android gets shot. I’ve rescued Simon and the % is at 33%. I’ve gotten that down using both X and O options to 0%. I’ve gotten it to 0% whilst still with Simon and also at the next set of barriers. I’ve tried the O option only as well but Simon never gets shot. It’s always a random android instead. I’ve tried it with both deviant and machine Connor and with North already dead. I’ve managed to get the North Gets shot when trying to get Simon shot though. I tried the same method for Simon but it didn’t work. Please help.
Pam says
Following advice from another site. I’ve finally managed to do it by failing the mission before you even reach Simon. Even before the scene where he gets wounded. I pressed X for cover fire but didn’t move whenever possible. This brought the % down to zero and Simon appeared and got shot.
DarkCreature says
PLEASE NOTE to unlock “Simon Gets Shot” this is the correct path: North is dead from Crossroads, Simon has high reputation with Markus, and MOST IMPORTANT, when Markus launches the Attack you simply wait at the first barricade. The percentage should be 45%.
If Josh is already shot you have an optional stop behind a cement column where both Markus and Simon stand still.
If Simon is shot at least once, an unknown android will be shot in his place and therefore the node will remain locked.
I had to make 4 turns as both the flowchart and this walkthrough are not clear.
darkrage6 says
I found an easier way to get Simon shot, at the beginning of the assault have Marcus get shot several times(click R1 to aim at the guys shooting at you and then don’t press any buttons and/or go into high-risk cover several times) and then if North is at least Companion status she will offer you her heart, take it and then you’ll get to the part with Simon, shoot the guard tower to unlock the Covering Fire options, ask both teams to provide covering fire and do not move, wait for the timer to expire and they will all get shot, then move towards Simon(the area near him will still say High Risk) and then he will get shot.
darkrage6 says
Correction to my last post-getting Simon shot there does not count.
However North does not have to have died in Crossroads in order to accomplish, you can also get Simon shot if she’s still alive in this chapter by getting injured enough that she will offer her heart to you to keep you alive(you must have Companion or Lover status with her to get this option, and to get injured, click the button to “aim” at the soldiers when prompted but don’t press the button before the timer on the next QTE prompt runs out and Markus will get shot, keep doing that and running into cover spots labeled “high risk” and soon North will offer you her heart) and then do the routine of asking for covering fire and waiting out the timer, once you get to the last area before you reach the large pillar(Where Simon gets shot and you get a choice on whether or not to save him) and you no longer have the covering fire option, just keep waiting it out and soon everyone will retreat and Simon will get shot.
MikeinCT says
Reply to Darkrage6
This method works, but it only did if Markus is wounded at the beginning of the chapter (before planting the flag). I don’t know if there are degrees of injury, but I failed all QTEs at that point. Otherwise you can’t get North’s heart until you’re past the point where you can unlock Simon Gets Shot.
FYI with this method you can replay from the checkpoint, take North’s heart, and still get injured again to unlock Nobody to Save Markus. You can’t get Simon’s heart after North’s, though. Simon doesn’t see the point after North’s lasted 30 seconds!
Varietas says
Wtf… I want to save Simon when He gets shot so he dies at the machine gun checkpoint, but it isn’t working because my cover fire is always locked, no matter what I try :c
Emma says
Where do I find the detonator during the Hold Barricade part? I can’t find anything indicating it’s location on the search radar.
darkrage6 says
The Detonator is given to you by North in Crossroads, you have to choose to accept it, and then you will only get the option to use it after you get surrounded.
Jordan says
I’m struggling to get both north or Simon shot I’ve tried to all solutions but they always end by north running to store with me please help
darkrage6 says
The bit about North needing to have neutral or lower reputation for her to get shot is incorrect, she was at “Companion” status when I get the success percentage to 0% before the machine gun nest and she still got shot.
iagor says
North in the store also happens after stopping the revolution with connor, (if you take control of him after the explosion in the recall center).
The “marked” path in the screen is the same as in North in half plaza, but the first ones (starts with “connon in cyberlife store”, with north automatically found).
It is very sad, because after you do all this a cutscene is shown with the amanda bitch telling you you are gonna be disconected with the fucking “new connor” just in front.
Chuck says
I can’t get north to come to the store with Marcus, she keeps getting shot when they try to retreat. All this takes place at the machine gun. They are companions.
Chuck says
Connor was deactivated also
Kris says
I’m pretty sure they have to be lovers
Michelle W. says
I have gotten the “Markus and North in Cyberlife” Simon and Josh were killed during the fighting, and Connor is a Deviant. When you get to the point where you have three teams ready to fight the machine gun, have North’s team cover fire, and the other two charge, a few times. You’ll fail, and the percentage of succeeding will eventually go to zero.
Sharan K.E says
I got this way before the point you mentioned. Connor is a machine and Josh was killed in my revolution playthrough.
-When Josh is shot, choose “Covering Fire” for the two group of androids, letting the time to cover fire run out for each group of androids.
-After talking to the scared android and ordering him to advance ahead, choose “Covering fire” to the group of androids on the right and let the time run out (after shooting the soldier on the top). Do it twice.
-When the percentage of succeeding dropped down to 10%, wait for 2 minutes and you’ll get “Markus and North in Cyberlife Store” after the percentage has plummeted to 0%.
Michelle W. says
(Not sure of his standing with North, I’ve had them kiss before making choice).
Michelle W. says
Has anyone else had a black screen with music playing after Markus commits suicide in the Cyberlife store? Connor is a Deviant, and Kara and Alice are dead.
Michelle W. says
Never mind, it’s fine now.
Milo says
According to the instructions, if North is dead and Simon is still alive at the machine gun nest AND the assault on the machine gun is 00%, Simon gets shot and the androids fall back. I did that but “Simon got shot” didn’t unlock. Any reason way this won’t unlock?
Milo says
Never mind, I figured it out. You can’t make too much progress. Success has to be 00% before Simon decides to run towards the machine gun nest.
Alex R says
How do I get Markus Badly Wounded? Do I have to fail a QTE?
Courier says
In case you haven’t found out yet, Here are some steps to get “Markus Badly Wounded”
1. When charging the barricade in the beginning, fail all QTE. Markus will get shot multiple times and become wounded.
2. After the dialogue with Simon and North, Aim at the soldier but do not shot him, if you keep doing this then Markus will get knocked back from the bullets and a random android will kill the soldier.
3. (Most Important!) When Josh leaves cover like an idiot and gets shot, follow his tactical strategy. Markus will leave cover and get shot in the heart, this will then trigger the cutscene where Markus is dying. Either North or Simon will appear to help, If both are dead then Markus is KO’ed for good.
Hope this helps!
Charbel Mansour says
Comment of MikeinCT is totally accurate:
– Markus wounded when planting the flag. Fail all QTE’s
– In next Checkpoint, make him badly wounded => leads to North giving him her heart
– North dies
From here, you can unlock 2 nodes:
1 – No one there to save Markus => make him get shot one more time
2- Simon Get Shot => wait for success rate to reach 0% before reaching the large pillar where Simon runs towards the machine gun.
Sharan K.E says
The first node can be unlocked easily, whereas the second node cannot be unlocked unless North gets killed in Crossroads. Because I’ve done the following as you mentioned above: fail the flag planting QTE ―> make Markus badly wounded (I did by ordering the androids on the right to cover fire and fail the drone QTE while heading for the grenade) ―> North dies by giving her heart to Markus.
No matter whichever order I did, I always reach the section where Simon gets shot rushing forward (where you’re given the option to save him or not) and some random android gets shot instead when the percentage reaches zero. This node is unobtainable unless North is dead in crossroads. Markus’ degree of injuries does not even come to play here.
MikeinCT’s comment is partially correct here.
DeviantX says
I decided not to go for romancing North in my latest playthrough, didn’t realize it was required for her to join you in the store at the end. We’re companions though and she still gets shot when the revolution fails.
Hirokohime says
Just to say something silly which made me lose 2 different endings, after credits roll up and the flowchart opens, click on continue or else you’ll lose your last choices bf going back to previous chapters.
ifthat says
For “Soldiers Approach Markus”, Connor does NOT need to become a deviant in Crossroads as it mentions above. He was decommissioned in my play through and it unlocked. Very confused as to why it says that. Just wanted to add in case you’re at the end and need/want this node!
