Introduction
Welcome to the The First Berserker: Khazan Trophy Guide! Set in the DNF Universe, you’ll play as Khazan who is on a revenge mission to bring justice to those who wronged him. The game is heavily inspired by games such as Dark Souls and Nioh, hitting a lot of the same gameplay mechanics, while bringing its own unique spins to the table.
Step 1: (1 Playthrough Path) Normal Difficulty, All Collectibles, All Bonus Missions, The First Berserker Ending
If you want to complete the platinum in a single playthrough, make sure you play on Normal difficulty and DO NOT summon a single Spirit of Advocacy. This will make the game a lot harder, but it can be done in 1 playthrough. If you want to see the 2 playthrough path, skip to Step 2 and 3 instead.
You’ll want to focus on getting all the collectibles and completing all Bonus Missions, which will already put you at 2/3 of the requirements for getting The First Berserker Ending. Make sure you’re following THE FIRST BERSERKER steps to get the ending.
Once you reach the final boss (or the Corrupted Lounge Blade Nexus, in case you mess up the steps for the ending), upload your save to the cloud.
After finishing the game, you should unlock THE FIRST BERSERKER,
The Expert’s Journey, :and silver: Standing Alone. Afterwards, you can redownload your save from the cloud, revert the difficulty to Easy and beat the final boss again to unlock
The Challenger’s Journey.
If you don’t have PS+ to upload your save, you’ll have to go into New Game+ to unlock The Challenger’s Journey.
Step 2: (2 Playthrough Path) Normal Difficulty, All Collectibles, All Bonus Missions, The First Berserker Ending
For the 2 playthrough method, you’ll want to play on Normal difficulty, while summoning Spirits of Advocacy to help you during boss fights. The reason you want to start with Normal difficulty first is because you can lower your difficulty to Easy in the settings, but you cannot raise your difficulty to Normal, so you won’t be able to earn The Expert’s Journey in New Game+ if you started on Easy and you’ll need to start a whole new game instead.
Other than summoning Spirits of Advocacy, this playthrough is exactly the same as the 1 playthrough path, except needing to upload your save to the cloud, though it’s still recommended in case you mess up getting The First Berserker ending.
Step 3: (2 Playthrough Path) Easy Difficulty Speedrun on New Game+
For the second playthrough, you’ll want to start New Game+ and change the difficulty down to Easy. You’ll also want to not summon any Spirits of Advocacy during this playthrough so you can unlock Standing Alone.
During this playthrough, you’ll also want to clean up any other miscellaneous trophies you missed, or try going for The First Berserker ending again if you missed it during your first playthrough.

Standing Alone Reached the ending without summoning a Spirit of Advocacy. |
![]() |
*MISSABLE*
Towards the end of the Forgotten Temple Mission, you’ll be introduced to Spirits of Advocacy and Revenants of Adversity. Spirits of Advocacy are spirits you can summon outside of boss rooms that will help you during boss fights by interacting with their signs and Spirits of Advocacy are evil spirits that you can summon that will try to kill you. For this trophy you can’t summon a single Spirit of Advocacy until you’ve beaten the game. Summoning a Revenant of Adversity is fine and doesn’t negate the trophy. The Spirit of Advocacy summon point will be a golden mist, while a Revenant of Adversity summon point will be a red mist. |

Kuba says
Easy mode is difficult?
Arkonite says
Yes, easy mode isn’t really easy. It’s more easier than normal mode but still a bit challenging
Kuba says
I heard that easy mode is as hard as many games from software
ObsiEez says
All Easy Mode does is make you take slightly less damage & deal slightly more damage. If you struggle with these types of games, Easy Mode won’t make a difference
Mike says
“Countless Tales
Completed all bonus missions. Silver
This trophy is currently glitched and will not unlock for a majority of players for unknown reasons.”
Does this mean the platinum is currently impossible to obtain?
Finch says
I would like to know that too. Because if it’s not obtainable i have no intention to buy the game right now, start playing and have to redo it in order to get it.
ObsiEez says
Yes
Nikki_boagreis says
I’m just happy that the game has a NG+ feature available.
Gediminas says
Is the Bonus missions repeatable? If Bonus mission glitched for trophies, is it possible to replay those?
Or are we in mercy of cloud saves?
ObsiEez says
You can replay all missions as long as you don’t start New Game+ after beating the game. You should be able to replay the Bonus Missions in question to get the trophies once they’re fixed, but that’s still up in the air.
desmod99 says
8/10 difficulty ? Is it really that difficult? After I finished the demo it didn’t feel that hard.
ObsiEez says
Difficulty is subjective to the player, so it might be easier, might be harder. The demo barely scratches the surface of the games difficulty however, especially if you decide to go for the 1 playthrough method vs the 2 playthrough method.
blackcat2806 says
Hi, thx for the guide. Quick question : it is 60h for step 1 or step 2+3? If not how long it will take for only step 1?
ObsiEez says
60 Hours for Step 1, not counting difference in skill levels that might make the game shorter or longer from player to player. Step 2+3 should also be around the same length since most players should struggle less, which would mean they save time overall. It’s completely up to the player which method they’d prefer to use, but Step 1 might take longer than step 2+3 combined depending on skill level.
Joel says
Hi! What do you mean the bonus missions are repeatable? If I complete them in the first game, if before the final boss then the patch comes out can I go back and recomplete the bonus missions as many times as I want?
ObsiEez says
The entire game is mission based & when you’re in the hub, you can select any mission you want, including main missions, and replay them from any of the Blade Nexus points. You can also do this after you beat the final boss, as long as you don’t start New Game+ when prompted to after the credits. You can start New Game+ at a later point by talking to an NPC in the hub instead.
ELDENLORD says
if i go into the final fight once and lose, can i still do the collectibles and fight him after collecting everything for the special ending?
ObsiEez says
Honestly I have no idea as I haven’t tested this. Theoretically it should be fine but I wouldn’t risk it personally & make sure everything is done BEFORE starting the fight.
irriducibile87 says
Thank you for the great guide !
For your suggested Spear Build which primary stats (endurance, vitality etc.) should we focus on and prioritize on leveling up over the course of the game ?
ObsiEez says
Vitality (For HP), Endurance (For Stamina), & Proficiency (For Damage). I personally don’t know what any of the soft or hard caps are, but once I hit 45 in both Vitality & Stamina I stopped investing into them & started putting everything in Proficiency instead.
irriducibile87 says
Thank you !
Resident Space Hill says
Hey guys I was wondering if you’re doing guides for Atomfall or Indiana Jones?
PowerPyx says
A list of upcoming guides can be found here
» Next Guides.
Matt says
I’ve been wondering the same thing. I was confused why bigger games like Death Stranding 2, Expedition 33, Atomfall, and Indiana Jones were being left off the list, but hopefully another site does something I guess.
Baz says
To be fair, power pyx implies its not coming because its not on the upcoming list. ut neither was the Until Dawn remake on the upcoming list yet that still got a trophy guide why?
PowerPyx says
No, what I’m “implying” is to check on the next guides page because games frequently get updated and added there
For some games I won’t know until closer to release when I have them in hand.
Crabbman23 says
Because I’ve completed the demo won’t a lot of thoughs trophies auto pop when I play the legit version of the game??
ObsiEez says
Yes, progress will transfer from the demo & any trophy you would have earned in the demo should autopop
Dolas says
Do you recommend a normal playthrough with summoning and on NG+ do a “easy” playthrough, not summoning and true ending? Is the true ending more doable on normal with summon or easy without it? The character’s lvl carries into the NG+? Thank you for the guide!!
ObsiEez says
I recommend doing the true ending on whichever playthrough you’re basically going for 100% on, which I personally recommend being your first playthrough. So if you’re going the 2 playthrough route, I would recommend doing the true ending on Normal with summons. & yes, levels & gear carry into NG+
Tom says
Ozma has a third phase/ form in the true ending path? Like a full third health bar? He has to be one of the toughest final bosses in a Soulsborne game.
Does he transform into a giant monster for his third phase? His first two forms are pretty normal sized so maybe he transforms into a giant demon in his third phase? Or does he become human again?
ObsiEez says
Yes, he has a 3rd phase with an whole new health bar. His 3rd phase is mostly just a repeat of Phase 2 with a couple of new attacks through in, but he takes insane amounts of damage & stuns really quickly in that phase. It’s suppose to be more cinematic that a challenge
Jaume says
Do you plan on doing an All in One guide?
Matt pace says
I’m missing a collection item to the right of trokka in the witch’s castle mission, I’ve checked your guide and got everything you’ve put so seems like you’re missing one?
ObsiEez says
You’re missing the Undelivered Letter collectible, it’s the last collectible listed in the mission. It’s near the Lydia’s Garden Blade Nexus
Hitmandevil69 says
Hi, can I finish the game on easy, reload my save before the last boss again to play on normal to unlock the trophy The Challenger’s Journey?
Greetings and many thanks to your guides
I’m following you since 11 years.
Hitmandevil69
Hitmandevil69 says
Sorry I ment the The Expert’s Journey.
Greetings
Hitmandevil69
ObsiEez says
No you can’t. When selecting Easy difficulty, you cannot raise the difficulty to Normal, which is why to earn both you need to start on Normal. You also need to upload your save to cloud storage as the game will automatically autosave once beating the boss if you plan on doing it all in 1 playthrough
RomeoNovember says
How would you compare the difficulty with the fromsoft games
ObsiEez says
While difficulty is purely subjective, I personally think if you’re going for Normal difficulty with no spirits, it’s harder than the Fromsoft games & one of the harder games in the genre in general, which is why for your average player it’s probably a better idea to go for the 2 playthrough method, especially if you don’t have PS+ to upload your cloud to the save anyway since you’d then need 2 playthroughs anyway
Huha says
Can I just play it on Normal in the first playthrough for fun without bothering for any other trophy, collectible or bonus missions and do all the remaining stuff in the second playthrough on Easy since it is New Game + or is there nothing useful for trophies you can take with you into NG+?
ObsiEez says
Everything transfer into NG+. but it’s highly recommended you do a lot of the trophies either way on your first playthrough as you get a lot of useful things that’ll make your playthrough overall easier. Plus since the entire game is mission based & linear, you’re not really going out of your way too much
anil rajput says
i played the demo n finish it bt accidentally i choose easy diff so my question is can i earn normal diff n no summon trophy in ng+ can i choose the diff again in ng+?
ObsiEez says
No, you cannot change your difficulty from Easy to Normal. To earn the trophy on Normal you’ll need to start a whole new save
Archer says
Do i have to complete the whole map if I just wanna collect the missing jarling? Or can I just return right after?
ObsiEez says
You can return after to clean up any collectibles. Just make sure you collect the Golden Collectibles before fighting the final boss at least to get the true ending
Bo says
In the first part of the STAND ALONE throphy description, says 2x the spirit of advocacy
And my question:
So, I can use the red ones. The golden ones (before the boss) will deactivate this trophy, right?
ObsiEez says
Yes, you can summon the red ones. Summoning the gold ones outside of boss doors voids the trophy. Though fighting the red ones is pointless as you get pretty trash gear as a reward & stuff to summon/upgrade the spirits you summon, which you won’t be doing in the playthrough anyway
Jerry says
There is a super broken glitch rn. If u have the gear from the deluxe version. During ur Phantom Form, change ur gear to the deluxe version’s gear. It automatically reset the phantom form bar, which means u can use the phantom form as long as u want. I beat the true ending Ozma with this glithch and it just become super easy.
Jerry says
And I found out that I pop both The Challenger and Expert’s Journey trophies at the same time.I do not have to fight the boss again tho.
Thiago says
Is that still working? When you say “gear” you mean by the entire Deluxe bonus set when you activate the Phantom Form?
Jordan says
For the true ending when you say ‘Once you reach the Diary, MAKE SURE YOU CLOSE OUT OF IT’ do you mean don’t pick it up or pick it up and instantly close out of it? I’m coming up on this part now and would like to be sure. Thanks
ObsiEez says
You have to interact with it to progress, so once you open it just instantly close it out
Gediminas says
Can’t trigger The Last Command trophy, it is glitched.
Also, guide says, release 3 prisoners, but there are 4 of them.
ObsiEez says
Someone else on the team had a this same issue. I’ll update the guide with the information that this one seems to be bugged for certain people as well
Gediminas says
Yeah, i tried multiple times to trigger it. Release 3 prisoners, release 4 prisoners, talked with guys, don’t talk with guys.
There were 2 dialogue choices in the story up untill now, can those effect the needed outcome of those glitched trophies?
