Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Mark of the Brotherhood Walkthrough

Mark of the Brotherhood is a side task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Mark of the Brotherhood side task.

• Starting Location: Kuttenberg Region > Kuttenberg City > Swordfighting Guild
• Quest Giver: Menhard van Frankfurt
• Requirement: Complete side quest Ars Dimicatoria
• Reward: 60 x Groschen
• Quest Type: Task
• Questline: Ars Dimicatoria > (Kuttenberg Tournament > Mark of the Brotherhood > Last Will)
• Quest Description: Menhard would finally like to lead the Kuttenberg swordfighting brotherhood as he should, but to do so he needs to get the guild sword back.

Objectives:

1. Pick up the guild sword from Emmeram
2. Dig up the guild sword from the rubbish heap (0/3)
3. Return to Emmeram
4. Beat up Emmeram (Optional)
5. Bring the broken sword to Menhard
6. Reforge the guild sword
7. Bring Menhard the repaired sword

Starting Location: Mark of the Brotherhood

To start this task, speak with Menhard at the swordfighting guild after you have completed Ars Dimicatoria and ask what he has planned next, then agree to help obtain the guild sword.

Pick up the guild sword from Emmeram

Menhard says that Emmeram still has the guild sword, so you need to go see him to get it back. He can typically be found at his butcher shop in the center of the city.

Dig up the guild sword from the rubbish heap (0/3)

Emmeram says he tossed the sword in the rubbish heap on the south side of the city. You’ll need to head there and dig up three separate rectangular spots to look for it. Be careful in the area as you may be attacked by wild dogs that hang out on the hill, make sure to only kick them to not void the Lent trophy/achievement.

Return to Emmeram

You won’t find the sword in any of the three spots, so go back to Emmeram to find out what he’s really done with the sword. He’ll give it back split in half. which you will end up having to fix. You can fist fight him after if you like, but this is entirely up to you and doesn’t matter for the task.

Beat up Emmeram (Optional)

If you do decide to fight him, you’ll need to knock out both Emmeram and his shop butcher.

Bring the broken sword to Menhard

With the broken sword in your possession, head back to the guild to talk to Menhard about it.

Reforge the guild sword

Menhard wants you to repair the sword for display purposes. You need to head to any blacksmith station and forge Guild Longsword. This also requires 1 x Fastening material and 2 x Toledo steel which you can buy from most smiths in Kuttenberg.

Bring Menhard the repaired sword

Once you have forged the new sword, bring it back to Menhard to complete the task.

This finishes Mark of the Brotherhood side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
