Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 The Axe from the Lake Walkthrough

The Axe from the Lake is a task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Axe from the Lake side task.

• Quest Description: Zdenyek the Mouth, a farmhand from Tachov, told me a story of two brothers and a silver axe which buried alongside one of them in this region.

Objectives:

1. Find the axe from the story
2. Repair the axe from the tale
3. Tell Zdenyek about the axe

Starting Location: The Axe from the Lake

To start this quest, speak with Zedenyek the Mouth in Tachov and ask him for a story. He can normally be found in or around the yard of the Tavern. (You may need to ask Innkeeper Prochek what’s going on in the area before Zdenyek will speak with you)

Find the axe from the story

Whichever options you pick, Zdenyek will tell you a story about the same thing, an axe that resulted in the deaths of a couple of brothers. You’ll then have a large search area southwest of Tachov to look for the location of the buried axe. Before going to search make sure you have a spade in your inventory as you need this to dig up the axe.

You can search around starting from the dock following the clues, or head straight to the top of the hill where there is a path through the trees on the map. You will end up directly where a nest is also located. Check on the ground for a rectangle of flat dirt Henry will comment on, then dig it up by interacting with the spot while you have a spade in your inventory.

Inside the hole, you can interact with the large bag and loot the Broken axe item.

Repair the axe from the tale

You can then head to a blacksmith station to repair the axe. The one in Tachov works and you can purchase materials from the smith. You are forging the Adorned Axe which requires the broken axe and 1 x Fastening material.

Tell Zdenyek about the axe

You can then go back to Zdenyek at the tavern and tell him about the axe, completing the task.

This finishes The Axe from the Lake side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
