The Reliquary is a side task in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of The Reliquary side task.
- Starting Location: Kuttenberg Region > forest edge northwest of Sedletz Monastery
- Quest Giver: Humble Knight
- Requirement: Complete Main Quest 14: Speak of the Devil
- Reward: St. Apollonia’s tooth (if you pass a skill at the end of the quest)
- Quest Type: Task
- Quest Description: Not far from the Sedletz graveyard I met a knight who told me about his role model, Sir Valentine, who is said to have once made a pilgrimage to Jerusalem and brought back soil from a holy field. They say Valentine is buried in the church graveyard, and the knight asked me if I could bring him his sword.
Objectives:
- Find the sword of Sir Valentine
- Forge a replica of Sir Valentine’s sword
- Bring Sir Valentine’s sword to the knight
Starting Location: The Reliquary
To start this quest, head northwest of Sedletz Monastery past the house where you can find a tent where the Humble Knight is located.
Find the sword of Sir Valentine
The Humble Knight wants you to find Sir Valentine’s sword and show it to him. It is located inside the graveyard area of the Sedletz Monastery.
Enter the chapel and then interact with the trap door in the middle of the area. If you’ve not been here yet this is also required during the side quest Thou art but dust… which you can start by speaking with the monk outside.
In the east room, you can interact with the large sarcophagus to open it, then interact again to search it.
The sword isn’t there, so move to the base of the sarcophagus and interact to examine it.
Forge a replica of Sir Valentine’s sword
Henry wants to forge a replica instead as the sword is not present. You can head into Kuttenberg to the blacksmiths to pick up supplies.
To forge the sword you need one each of:
- Copper
- Straight sword guard
- Cow skin
- Coin sword pommel
- Frankfurt steel
- Scrap metal
You may need to check around a few of them to find everything if you don’t already have all of the materials. Once you have them all, head to any blacksmith station to forge the sword.
Bring Sir Valentine’s sword to the knight
Once you made the sword, head back to the camp to speak with the knight again. He will attack you, and you either need to pass a Very Hard Presence skill check, or fight and kill him.
If you pass the skill check he’ll give you a St. Appolonia’s tooth item. This is basically junk, so you can feel free to kill him anyway and take the sword back along with the rest of his items which a few have a high sell price.
This finishes The Reliquary side quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2.
