Last Rites is the 1st main quest in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the Last Rites main story quest.
Go up the stairs to the front ramperts
At the very start of the game, you will spawn in a courtyard of a castle that’s under siege. Go up the stairs in front of you to the castle wall. An enemy will climb over the wall, defeat him. Easiest method is to use the crossbow with

Afterward, you can shoot the approaching enemies from the wall. After about a minute the next objective will pop up at the top of the screen with a red icon.
Help defend the gate in the courtyard
Head back downstairs into the courtyard. Enemies will approach the gates, shoot them with the crossbow. After a short time the enemies will automatically be killed by fire.
Follow the commander Dry Devil
Head to the southwest corner of the courtyard and go up the stairs where commander “Dry Devil” waits for you. Follow him inside the tower and go upstairs to the castle walls.
Knock down the ladder!
Defeat the enemies on the wall. Easiest method is to let your fellow soldiers take care of them or attack from behind. Then face the ladder leaning against the outer castle wall and hold

to knock it down. This will trigger a cutscene.
The quest ends after the cutscene.
