This guide shows how to get the Detroit: Become Human Survivors Trophy (Everyone is alive at the end).
None of the characters listed below is allowed to die over the course of the game. If you lose someone, quit out to the main menu and replay the chapter from the last checkpoint. Never leave anyone behind, always help your friends even if it puts you at risk, but never sacrifice yourself either.
Deviants and Police forces do NOT impact this. It’s okay to kill Deviants yourself, have them commit suicide, or have them massacre humans. It’s also okay to kill police (and you will have to in order to save North and infiltrate CyberLife). Only the characters below must be alive, nobody else matters for this.
People/Androids to keep alive:
- Connor
- Pretty sure he can die because he always gets rebooted anyway, but to be safe avoid his deaths. There are reports of people getting it despite Connor ‘dying’ multiple times (but he can’t be permanently deactivated in ‘Last Chance, Connor’).
- Chapter: Public Enemy – I pursued the operator deviant from the Stratford Tower kitchen. In the corridor choose RUSH DEVIANT. It will self-destruct. –> needed to make the deviant show up in Evidence Locker of ‘Last Chance, Connor’ so Connor doesn’t get deactivated.
- Chapter: Last Chance, Connor – Connor must figure out the location to Jericho. If he doesn’t, he will be deactivated permanently which voids the trophy. To do this you need enough evidence. I had the operator deviant in ‘Public Enemy’ self-destruct. I ran after it and chose RUSH DEVIANT. You can then interrogate it in Last Chance, Connor by emulating Markus’s voice and tricking it.
- Chapter: Crossroads – I made Connor a deviant to avoid deadly conflicts with Markus and Hank.
- Hank (Connor’s police partner)
- Connor and Hank must remain friends. If they are hostile Hank will commit suicide at the end of the game.
- Kara
- Chapter: Stormy Night – Kara & Alice escaped Todd’s house
- Chapter: Crossroads – When Kara & Alice run from the police, select the option PLAY DEAD > DON’T MOVE. This way they won’t be brought to the recycling facility. If the police catches them, it becomes impossible to beat the game without sacrificing anyone.
- Chapter: Battle for Detroit – Don’t be detected by the police and save Luther & Jerry. Take the fast & risky route to the bus stop (don’t take boat). At the Canada border, pick option NO SACRIFICE. Public Opinion about androids must be supportive and Markus must have chosen to do a Peaceful Demonstration. Then the border patrol officer lets Kara pass and she doesn’t have to sacrifice anyone.
- Alice (Kara’s girl)
- Chapter: Stormy Night – Kara & Alice escaped Todd’s house
- Chapter: On the Run – Kara and Alice make it across the highway alive.
- Luther
- Kara meets him in Chapter: Zlatko
- Chapter: Midnight Train – When the cop shows up, talk to Luther and tell him to go UPSTAIRS (Trophy: ‘NOTHING TO SEE HERE’)
- Chapter: Crossroads (Kara) – When Luther gets shot in the foot during the escape from Jericho, choose HELP LUTHER > Get him safely to the next room and he’ll tell you to go and that he will catch up with you later
- Chapter: Battle for Detroit – Kara isn’t detected by the police and saves Luther & Jerry. Take the fast / risky route to the bus stop (don’t take boat). At the Canada border control pick option NO SACRIFICE. Public Opinion about androids must be supportive and Markus must have chosen to do a Peaceful March. Then the border patrol officer lets Kara pass and she doesn’t have to sacrifice anyone.
- Jerry
- Chapter: Battle for Detroit (Kara Leaving Detroit) – At the start of the chapter you must sneak behind some cars. After the first line of cars you can see Jerry and Luther held at gunpoint by the police. Sneak up to the police and knock them out to free Jerry.
- Markus
- Don’t lose any battles.
- Chapter: Freedom March – Choose the DISPERSE Option at the end of the March, don’t sacrifice Markus and don’t attack the police (attacking them would reduce public opinion which can lead to Luther/Jerry dying at the Canadian border).
- Always choose the peaceful protest options, don’t attack/kill any humans or police. The only exception is when you have to save North at the end of the Crossroads chapter. Here Markus and Connor will kill some police to save her. To clarify, killing police does not actually impact the trophy, but if you choose the violent Revolution option some of your friends may very likely get shot. Keep it peaceful.
- Simon (from Jericho)
- Chapter: The Stratford Tower – at the security checkpoint on the top of the tower pick option RUSE > As you walk towards the guards to DRAW GUN at them > to ORDER them > to KNOCK OUT. If you choose the ASSAULT option Simon will get shot will have to stay behind on the rooftop. Now you have two possible paths, both lead to Simon surviving (doesn’t matter which you choose).
- [Path that I took] When the guy runs from broadcast room, choose SPARE. Then a SWAT Team comes and almost kills Simon. Choose to save him quickly and bring him to the roof. Here choose to leave him behind (but don’t execute him). In the next chapter ‘Public Enemy’ do not find him with Connor. Simon survives and rejoins the group later.
- When the guy runs from broadcast room, choose SHOOT so he doesn’t ring the alarm. Then no SWAT comes and Simon skydives down the roof with you.
- North (from Jericho)
- Chapter: Crossroads – if Markus went to place the detonation timer, North will get trapped in a corridor afterwards. You must choose to help her.
- Josh (from Jericho)
- Chapter: Crossroads – When Markus runs through the Jericho container ship there is a part where a soldier attacks Josh in a corridor. Press to INTERVENE.
- Chloe (female robot in Kamski’s villa, the one seen in the main menu)
- Chapter: Meet Kamski – Connor chose not to shoot her. I don’t think she really matters for this trophy, just let her live to be safe.
Deviants don’t matter for this (Daniel in ‘Chapter’ Hostage’, the Android from Murder House Attic in ‘Chapter: Partners’, the Android you chase over the rooftops in ‘Chapter: The Nest’, the Android in Broadcasting room’s kitchen in ‘Chapter: Public Enemy’). Personally, I didn’t shoot the Tracis in ‘Chapter: Eden Club’ but they shouldn’t affect the trophy (if in doubt leave them alive).
Below are the flowcharts of all the decisions that lead to the Survivors trophy. Stick to these and you’ll earn the trophy.

Paul says
With the boat section with Kara at the end, how do you keep Lucifer alive? I think you should make a video guide for this because it’s not explained very well. Also, for Simon, you have to chose “Ruse” and shot the guy who is trying to inform the guards; the one with the white shirt who runs straight out of the room and you have a choice whether to kill him or let him escape. If you let him escape, Simon won’t be able to come with you. You have to kill that guy after choosing Ruse.
PowerPyx says
Don’t go by boat, do it as it’s explained in trophy guide (“Happy Family” trophy). I never met Lucifer. You must take other path via bus stop. Video guide for that trophy is uploading.
Paul says
+PowerPyx I meant “luther” and yeah, it was just me being stupid. I must have failed that trophy 4-5 times because of silly mistakes I made in the last chapter.
OTPYG says
Curious – How does one get Jerry to survive the whole game? At the border crossing, you’re meant to sacrifice him so your trio can cross safely. if you don’t sacrifice him then the trio die. Is there any way to get him part that point? Or do you only keep him alive to sacrifice at that point?
PowerPyx says
Choose “No Sacrifice” at border. Public Opinion must be supportive so the border patrol lets you pass (do peaceful march with Markus).
Saudumm says
I’ts not necessary for Simon to escape with you from Stratford Tower. It’s possible for him to return to Jericho, if he gets shot at there. Just save him and bring him to the rooftop. There you have to spare and leave him and when you play as Connor at Stratford Tower later on, don’t go to the rooftop. That way, Simon remains undetected and re-joins you later at Jericho.
PowerPyx says
I added it as an alternative, thanks.
Connor says
I did all of this .. everytime i kiss north at the end the police shoots me .. but i think i messed up in freedom march by killing the police.. does this affect the trophy??? Should i restart from this mission?
PowerPyx says
Killing police in freedom march messed it up. You need to replay from there with save feature enabled. Always be peaceful, don’t kill police (except to save North).
JPL12 says
but in your guide you said to go along with the save where we killed the police in Freedom March cause that way Markus won’t die? Should’ve mentioned that in the guide, walking away was the best option cause Markus is alive and no killings happen. Now I have to redo from that point again just to get Survivor trophy….
PowerPyx says
You make a fair point and I now added a note about it.
Do keep in mind though, this may void some magazines. So one way or the other you’re going to have to replay bits and pieces at the end.
Robert says
What are the requirements for Simon rejoining the group in a later chapter if he is left on the roof in Public Enemy? I restarted from Public Enemy and did not find Simon on the rooftop as Connor. A cutscene showed Simon alive at the end of Public Enemy. I played through to the end of Freedom March and Simon did not rejoin the group. Not sure what I did wrong but it seems the only reliable way to keep Simon alive is making sure he jumps off the roof in Stratford Tower.
PowerPyx says
Hmm… I think he rejoins in Crossroads chapter at end of game. After 4 playthroughs it’s getting a bit blurry, but if you left him behind and didn’t discover him he will always rejoin later. Just keep playing until endgame I’d say.
Morde_a_Foca says
He should rejoin in “Freedom March” after talking with North on the building next to Jericho.
Wayne Young says
Make sure at the end of freedom march to disperse after he remains as sacrificing Markus causes Simon to die
OddJars says
Does Connor have to become a deviant to get this achievement?
PowerPyx says
I made him deviant, yes. Otherwise it results in conflict with various characters and Connor himself dying.
Cabecote says
Hello, I have two questions:
1 – In chapter 7 (Stormy Night) can I shoot Todd as Kara? Would that decrease public opinion and mess the Markus peaceful end?
2 – In chapter 9 (The Interrogation) what’s the best option regarding public opinion?
PowerPyx says
1 – never shot him, not sure. I always escaped without shooting him, that I can guarantee to work.
2 – I don’t think it affects public opinion at all. I “won” the interrogation (without having to forcefully probe the suspect) and then did not intervene and the deviant killed itself. He definitely doesn’t need to be alive, I let him die on my SURVIVORS run.
KASE1248 says
I watched someone kill Todd during their playthru of the peaceful ending; I can’t remember if it affected Public Opinion at the time (I don’t think so but I can’t guarantee) but it does not have any impact on the overall peaceful ending, doesn’t make it harder to achieve afaik
Andrew says
Is it possible to take the boat with Kara Alice & Luther at the end and have the three of them survive?
Andrew says
Another question, does Carl die at the beginning of Markus’ journey no matter what? The flowchart makes it sound like he might not die if you confront Leo.
PowerPyx says
I think Luther always dies on boat route. The bus route is what worked for me.
And yes, Carl always dies. In ‘Night of the Soul’ Markus goes to his grave even when you pushed Leo.
Kyo says
Carl was alive in ‘Night of the Soul’ for me….I pushed leo.
Josh says
Carl dies every time. But if you chose to push Leo back, Carl will not die until much later. You will have another chance to talk with him before he dies as Markus.
Andrew says
Wow! So many possibilities! Thank you all for the answers! I replayed a checkpoint and took the bus route with Kara and had the three of them survive, Jerry too, but I’m at the credits and I didn’t get the trophy yet. Connor, Markus and the whole gang survived, not sure where I messed up lol
Andrew says
Oh! Got the trophy after the credits! Thanks all for the help
Morde_a_Foca says
In “Nigth of the Soul” Carl only dies if you talk with anger with him.
Hope says
There’s a way to stand your ground as markus and stay alive, which is you make john joins your crew (the security guy who detect you when you get the blue blood from cyber life) but you need to hold him and let him go to help you and he’ll say nothing to the other guy who is on patrol. He’ll sacrifice himself when the police shoot markus and markus will get shot but he’ll not die.
BilboTBaggins says
So that’s the route I took and everyone survived, but no trophy, possibly a glitch or I overlooked something
Morde_a_Foca says
It’s probably better just to run and don’t make anyone sacrifice for Markus. But you can still stand your ground two times before avoidind the sacrifice and get a few public points for support.
Ali says
Also want to piggyback off what Hope said above it and ANOTHER way for Markus to live while choosing stand ground and against the police in the Freedom March is to have Simon save you.
I chose to kill the security guy though so he wasn’t there to save me.
Then I killed the guard escaping so no SWAT team was called in thus preventing Simon from being harmed.
I didn’t find Simon as Connor
So during the March when I stood ground Simon saved Markus from being shot.
I also gained respect in Jericho for standing my ground and even though I shot the guy running away earlier you can still end the game with a public opinion being supportive.
Josh says
1- Is it possible to keep Josh alive if you chose the Revolution path?
Morde_a_Foca says
No, only way to keep him alive is the peacefull demonstrativon, with supportive public opinion.
Matt says
I Need Help guys with Connor, in Chapter called Last chance, Connor, I started at police station, with officer saying to Connor and Hank that they take from them Case, then Connor is in Amanda world, and she destroyed him, I can’t save Connor, he didn’t show up later, she just destroyed him beacuse I failed mission, anyone can help me
darkjester74 says
I am having this same issue. To save Simon I shot the civilian as left the broadcast room. But now when I get to the Last Chance chapter I fail because I don’t have sufficient evidence?
Hemanna says
To avoid having insufficient evidence catch the deviant in the kitchen in the broadcast room.
Morde_a_Foca says
Just kill Chloe in Kamskis place. As Kamski for Jerichos location.
Free says
If Simon does not jump with the others off the boat, does he make it until the end?
There is a list of 4 to jump with Markus and Simon’s space is not showing? Why is that happening?
Will the trophy still pop if he doesn’t jump off the boat with Markus?
Morde_a_Foca says
No. He has to jump with, otherwise he is already dead.
Kyle Anderson says
Simon will rejoin you at Jericho if you go to the kitchen as Connor and interrogate the deviant instead of going to the rooftop.
Elkom says
Just got MORAL VICTORY by SING-ing while being supportive by people and NOT lover with North.
Torchwood84 says
It’s actually more beneficial in PUBLIC ENEMY to take the gun, shoot the Operator deviant and go down the prevent massacre path. Connor shooting him means he still ends up in the evidence locker in LAST CHANCE and you gain relationship points with Hank, but it DOESN’T result in the loss of public support the rush option gives as the operator doesn’t kill any humans.
CHase says
Can Carl die and you still get the achievement?
PowerPyx says
Yes, he died from old age by the time I got the ‘Night of the Soul’. There I went to his grave and Markus spoke to his gravestone.
John says
Hi, I’m at crossroads, and when I chose save north Markus gets stunned and north dies. There’s no QTE, it just punishes me. What do I do to fix this?
JP says
I ran into the same situation, I believe it’s tied to Markus getting injured in battle. Anyone have any idea to where he may have gotten injured or which chapter would be good to start replaying from?
Morde_a_Foca says
Crossroads. Just dont fail any QTE before, and you’ ll be able to save North.
Alan says
“Andrew says
May 28, 2018 at 8:33 am
Oh! Got the trophy after the credits! Thanks all for the help”
Just had a playthrough where everyone survived. I skipped the credits (when the first part of them is finished you can skip the second pat) and the trophy did not pop.
ikku says
i can confirm that killing chloe does NOT void the trophy. however, you’ll lose some karma with hank by doing so.
LHG says
Does anyone know how to fix this issue or does the game not really care about your decisions?
So my issue is that in the end of the mission The StratFord Tower i ended it with The Group Escaped. I shot the guy so no SWAT shot Simon. However, when i play Capitol Park the cut scene says that Simon payed with his life for the cause and the flow chart has his name in white like he died.
I specifically went back to avoid him dying and now the game is treating him like he died. Does anyone else have his problem?
PowerPyx says
Did you turn on save feature and replay all chapters from Stratford Tower?
If you skip from Startford Tower to Capitol Park it will NOT save your progress. You must play every single chapter in between, not skipping any.
Free. psn kfree7 says
These walkthroughs of the levels were extremely helpful. Thanks for taking all the time to put this together.
Sharius says
I want to 100% my flow chartz first before going for survivor, do i need to play all the way through the end for all of my choice to save or i can just simply reload check point?
Lawler says
Does it matter if in the tower I didn’t choose peaceful message? I’ve choice peaceful demonstration after, when it came to freeing the androids from the store. I’m hoping if I just keep choosing peaceful it’ll get the public opinion on my side.
(I did actually finish it yesterday with ONLY Simon dying, so I’m hoping when I choose dispurst at the March, it doesn’t lower the public opinion for me so much that I can’t choose sacrifice no-one at the border)
Morde_a_Foca says
Actualy the “no sacrifice” at the border just depends on the choice of revolution or peacefull demonstration. If North is the Leader, its always a revolution.
Ivory_Ebony says
I passed the game without Jerry alive and the trophy pop up in the end.
Also, I escaped with Kara, Alice and Luther from the recycle plant.
Katrina says
Actually I went back to the end because I chose the boat path and got Luther/Alice killed. I sacrificed Jerry and I still got the achievement so you don’t to worry about him, although I feel bad for Jerry I might go back and save him after reading this :L
NeonLabsUK says
Thank You PowerPyx! I’ve just followed all of this guide on a final playthrough to get this final Survivors trophy. I now have platinum on Detroit: Become Human. Loved this game.
Ty says
I’m at the crossroads with Conner and marcus and I can’t seem to get Conner to turn diviant. What am I doing wrong
Icey says
I can confirm it’s possible to still get the Survivors trophy if Kara and Alice go to the recycling center.
Just make sure the Scared Android causes the first distraction and then Jerry for the second so that Kara, Alice and Luther cab escape.
Denis says
So I redid all my Bad choices peacefully but Markus still gets Shot at the end ( apparently the opinion is only unconcerned , and not supportive )
So what am I doing wrong then ?
And I replayed the Level to Safe Luther but I didnt See him at the Border and I think the Option to Talk to him was locked) .
Kara did still Pass the Border although later on Markus still dies.
Stephen Douglas Gordon says
Hey Gents,
Can definitely confirm that the survivors trophy can be completed with keeping Connor alive from the point when he becomes deviant. I died 4/5 sections be for this with Connor and still got the trophy
Mike says
I turned conner deviant and Hank commits suicide. How do you keep Hank alive
Ivan says
Hank and Conner can’t be hostile in the end because it would always result in Hanks suicide. I don’t know if you have to be Friends but it’s the best way to prevent that ending!
Darinho says
Hi everyone. This one of the most excruciating platinums ever. It is so time consuming.
I am on my last trophy SURVIVOR. All are alive, even SIMON but he is nowhere to be found? CAN YOU PLEASE HELP.
In night of the soul there is no Simon. But he survived Stratford tower. I played chapters with save on. Also when Jericho exploded there was no Simon.
Where can Simon does beside tower?
Thank you all
Darinho says
Ok, so found out that chapters are completely bugged out. While I got some trophies with Hank friendly, Simon wasn’t nowhere. Then I loaded previous chapter to get Simon, but Hank became hostile out of a sudden. some chapters bugged out. So I am doing a lot of chapters in sequence for the 10th time.
If I know this platinum would be this exhausting I would never pursuit it.
Will let you know if I managed to finish it, finally!
Darth Veder says
If the Spare Parts robot sacrifices itself for me in the Capitol Park mission, can I get the trophy?
T R K says
What happened, brother?
