God of War Focus Armor Set Location (The Mountain)

This God of War Guide shows where to find the Focus Armor Set Location exclusively collected in the Mountain Region. Unlike other armor sets it cannot be crafted, the only way to get it is to find it in the game world. All 3 parts are found in red chests and only in the Mountain Region.

Missable: The Plated Pauldrons of Focus is missable! If you progress too far in the story you cannot obtain it anymore, there’s no way to get back to it after the story!

Scaled Bracers of Focus

At the start of the mountain in the puzzle room with the deer statue on the other side, drop down into the tunnel on the right side (Screenshot #2). Continue through the dark tunnel until you get to Screenshot #3 and take a left (the first time you can go left in the tunnel). At the end of that tunnel section is a red chest that contains the Scaled Bracers of Focus.

Item Description: Sturdy armor favoring COOLDOWN.
Wrist Armor: 18 Defence, 13 Cooldown

Scaled Waist Guard of Focus

This is in the room where you must push the minecart and free the stuck elevator. In the story you have got to push the minecart to climb up a bridge, this is unmissable. Or after the story you can climb up the golden chains instead (Screenshot #2). Just circle around the area over the bridges (Screenshot #3) and you’ll run into a red chest (Screenshot #4). It contains the Scaled Waist Guard of Focus.

Waist Armor: 18 Defence, 13 Cooldown

Plated Pauldrons of Focus

Missable!
If you don’t pick this one up during the story there is no way to get back here. You only have one chance and then this piece will be unavailable forever. It’s in story mission “Inside the Mountain“, Objective: “Reach the summit”.

After defeating the troll boss you must lower a chain on the maincart and ride it like an elevator. At the top, after exiting the elevator there’s a cutscene with Atreus lighting a lantern and letting it fly away. Then there are lots of fire traps (Screenshots #2 & #3). After those first two fire traps there’s a spinning trap with 4 streams of fire coming out of it (Screenshot #4). On the other side you can turn a wheel (Screenshot #5) to lower the turning fire trap. On top of it was a red chest but now that the platform is lowered you can open it (Screenshot #6). It contains the Plated Pauldrons of Focus.
