Black Myth Wukong All Celestial Pill Locations

Black Myth Wukong contains 15 Celestial Pill Locations. They are used to increase your stats. There are 3 types of pills: Celestial Jade Lotus Pill (Health Upgrade), Celestial Taiyi Pill (Mana Upgrade), Celestial Nonary Pill (Stamina Upgrade). Each Chapter contains 3 Celestial Pills, one of each type. Except Chapter 6 which doesn’t contain any. This also means there are exactly 5 of each type of pill throughout the game.

Collecting 5 Celestial Pills of each type unlocks the Medicine Meal trophy & achievement. It will continue counting Pills you pick up in New Game+, even if they are the same ones you picked up in the first playthrough (they respawn). So if you found 10 pills on the first playthrough just pick up an extra 5 in New Game+. Celestial Pills can also be crafted at the Xu Dog vendor in exchange for Mind Cores, but these don’t count for the trophy. Only the ones you physically collect in the world count. Xu Dog can be found in Chapter 2 > Crouching Tiger Temple > Cellar.

There is no quick way to check which pills you already collected. The only method is to revisit their locations. They are all in small golden containers. If the container is opened it means you have found it before.

Chapter 1: Black Wind Mountain

1. Celestial Jade Lotus Pill (Health Upgrade) – Forest of Wolves > Guanyin Temple: found after the main boss “Lingxuzi” (white wolf beast), in the next temple on left side. It’s a golden glowing item and hard to miss.
2. Celestial Taiyi Pill (Mana Upgrade) – Bamboo Grove > Marsh of White Mist: from the shrine go down the wooden ramps and into the dark cave (after “Whiteclad Noble” boss). In the cave go straight to find this in a golden case next to a meditation spot. Before taking the path to the right to the “Cave Interior” shrine.
3. Celestial Nonary Pill (Stamina Upgrade) – Black Wind Cave > Outside the Cave: on the main path from shrine “Outside the Cave” to the next shrine “Bodhi Peak”, this will be on the left side in a small golden chest. Just before the stairs to “Bodhi Peak”, the story path makes you walk past it, hard to miss.

Chapter 2: Yellow Wind Ridge

1. Celestial Nonary Pill (Stamina Upgrade) – Sandgate Village > Valley of Despair: from this shrine take the path to the right to enter a cave. After two enemies, in the next cave section, drop down and head to the left corner. There is a broken pillar you can walk across (an enemy is shooting at you from the other side). After crossing the pillar you can squeeze through a wall. Defeat the Swift Bat enemy and go straight (not right). This leads to another cave section with two more Swift Bats. At the end of this section is a golden chest with this upgrade.
2. Celestial Taiyi Pill (Mana Upgrade) – Fright Cliff > Rock Clash Platform: directly after this shrine you will find this along the main path in a small gold chest.
3. Celestial Jade Lotus Pill (Health Upgrade) – Crouching Tiger Temple > Temple Entrance: from this shrine go upstairs, after defeating the boss “Tiger Vanguard” use the little statue in the boss arena. This requires the key item “Sterness of Stone” which is dropped by boss “Stone Vanguard”. This will open up a hatch on the floor, drop down and in the corridor you’ll find a golden container on the left.

Chapter 3: The New West

1. Celestial Taiyi Pill (Mana Upgrade) – Pagoda Realm > Outside the Wheel: From this shrine go forward, through the cave with water in it. Exit the cave, follow the linear path forward and you’ll come across a golden container on the right side of the main path.
2. Celestial Jade Lotus Pill (Health Upgrade) – Bitter Lake > Turtle Island: From this shrine turn around 180°. Once you have turned around, drop down the cliffs that will be slightly to your right, all the way to the bottom. At the southern edge of the island you find a golden container that has this item.
3. Celestial Nonary Pill (Stamina Upgrade) – New Thunderclap Temple > Temple Entrance: From this shrine go straight forward, through a wooden temple building, then up the next staircase. After going upstairs, take the left path downstairs, enter the next building straight ahead, go up the stairs in the building. From the top floor go over the wooden bridge, at the end is the horse NPC. Jump over the left side of the wooden bridge, there’s a frozen pond, in it open the small golden container. Guarded by enemies.

Chapter 4: The Webbed Hollow

1. Celestial Jade Lotus Pill (Health Upgrade) – Village of Lanxi > Estate of the Zhu: after “The Second Sister” boss, this is in the next area, on a table in the back, in small golden container. Before dropping down the dark hole.
2. Celestial Taiyi Pill (Mana Upgrade) – Webbed Hollow > Cliff of Oblivion: After defeating the Buddha’s Right hand go over the broken hand and then go up the left side to find this in a golden container.
3. Celestial Nonary Pill (Stamina Upgrade) – After finishing the Purple Altars Questline, it will be in front of you in a golden container after beating the “Supreme Inspector” miniboss. Missable: the questline can only be completed before finishing Chapter 4 (before Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master boss).

Chapter 5: Flaming Mountains

1. Celestial Jade Lotus Pill (Health Upgrade) – Woods of Ember > Ashen Pass II: from this shrine turn around and it’ll be in a golden container directly across from the shrine in plain sight.
2. Celestial Taiyi Pill (Mana Upgrade) – Furnace Valley > Rakshasa Palace: to the immediate right of this shrine in a small golden container, in plain sight.
3. Celestial Nonary Pill (Stamina Upgrade) – Secret: Bishui Cave > Purge Pit: First, see How to Reach Chapter 5 Secret Area (requires doing Five Element Carts quest). From the first shrine in the secret area, go downstairs. After the boss “Top Takes Bottom, Bottom Takes Top“, go upstairs to the next area, enter the first alcone on the left to find this in a golden container.

Chapter 6: Mount Huaguo

1. Five Skandhas Pill: Reward for beating Giant Shigandang Superboss in Chapter 6 and then talking to Xu Dog. To make this boss appear you must first collect 4 Skandhas. This is a special type of Celestial Pill that raises ALL 3 attributes (health, mana, stamina).

Should you not have the Medicine Meal trophy after finding all of these, simply collect them all again in New Game+. You have to play through NG+ anyway to craft all Weapons and Armor.
