Here you can find a complete Scholar’s Mate Walkthrough with all Puzzles, Key Items, and Trophies. Everything needed for 100% completion is included. The game is very short, a full playthrough only takes 2-3 hours. You can start on the highest difficulty “Scholar’s Mate” right away, it’s available from the beginning. The only difference between the difficulties is that Eddie the hunter spots you faster. The game is a horror escape room experience. You play as a young woman called Judith and your goal is to escape from the psychiatric hospital where the game takes place. Throughout the game you will be chased by a hunter called Eddie and you must avoid capture by him.
Walkthrough
Start a New Game and select Scholar’s Mate difficulty if you want to get all trophies/achievements in one run. A cutscene will start.
After the cutscene when you can move your character, turn around and inspect the right window. Grab the “Punishment Cell 2F (Second Floor)” key here.
Turn around again and exit the cell, which unlocks The Awakening, opposite the cell is a flashlight on a bench, pick it up.
Turn around again and go downstairs next to the cell you just escaped.
Downstairs turn left and go under the stairs. Open up the right locker and pick up the water faucet.
Now open up the locker with the poster, the combination for this is 4503. This unlocks The Others, pick up the fuse.
Turn around and walk along the right side. Pass the ringing phone and turn right just before the stairs. You will find another set of lockers. Open up the middle locker with the name “Robert Hill” on it, and pick up the “Mammals” book.
Now open up the locker with the “Fuck You” writing on it, the combination for this is 1957. Pick up the Reception key.
Now turn around and go left and answer the phone call. This unlocks The Call.
Now open up the door next to the phone. This unlocks Happy Birthday.
Here open up the middle closet and pick up the fuse.
Turn left now and pick up the Toilet key from the wall.
Leave the reception and turn left, pass the stairs, and open up the Toilet with the key.
Inside the toilet interact with the pipe in the back right side and place the water faucet. Once placed interact with it once, and your character will say “Valve is open”.
Leave the Toilet, turn left, and open the door with the red light above.
Go downstairs, and interact with the fuse box on the wall. Place all three fuses in this position. If you placed a fuse somewhere else, just pick it up again.
Now go up the stairs again and a little cutscene starts. Eddie, the monster, is chasing you from now on. After the cutscene Run! will unlock. You have to get away from him now, to do this, run forward. Ignore the stairs to your right, run past the Reception, and run up the stairs after it. Upstairs, immediately turn left run forward, and run downstairs again. Quickly enter the door to your left and go downstairs (where you did the fuse box). Right after the fuse box, pick up another water faucet.
As mentioned above. Eddie will now chase you every time he sees or hears you. If you play on the highest difficulty he will spot you every time you are in plain sight. On the lower difficulties, he does not spot you that easily. Now go upstairs again, and go into the reception. Inside the reception, turn off the light on your right side when you enter it (only if the lights are on). You now have to press this button on the wall and quickly run to the door that will open.
Make sure that Eddie is upstairs before pressing this button. Because you only have around 10 seconds to get to the door. So press it, then run out of the reception, turn right, and run until the end of the corridor and pass the door with the red light above. If you are too slow the door will close and you have to press the button in the reception again.
Once you pass the door, immediately turn left and enter the next door to “Ward N 6”.
This triggers a checkpoint and Eddie will smash the timed door, which will unlock Hold the Door. Inside the room “Ward N 6”, interact with the bedside table opposite the entrance door and pick up the “Amphibians” book.
Now look under the bed to the right of the bedside table to find the videogame. This unlocks Video Game Lover.
Now get out of the room and go through the now destroyed timed door. Immediately turn left and interact with the water faucet.
Now go back through the destroyed door and interact with the padlock on the right side.
Enter 7935 to open the door to the Punishment Cell, this unlocks Children’s game. Now go back to the fuse box and place the fuses like this.
Now go back to the Punishment Cell, where you entered the 7935 code, but before you do this for another trophy, go upstairs, make sure Eddie chases you, then quickly run downstairs and to the room with the padlock. Close the door and hide in it and once Eddie loses your track you will unlock Hide!. Now inside this room, interact with the corpse on the chair and pick up the “Surgery” key. This will unlock The Chair.
Go to the phone from earlier in the game and interact with it. Now go upstairs, turn left and at the end of the corridor you will find the Surgery on the left side. Open that door and you will unlock The Punishment.
Inside the Surgery, pick up the Fuse from the surgery table and head back to the fusebox in the basement. Place all Fuses in this order.
Go back to the Surgery and interact with the Oxygen Machine on the left side.
Set the Manual Switch to On first, then pull the switch on the bottom right side.
You will see now 4 blocks of numbers above the machine. Two rows with two sets of numbers. You will have to match the yellow highlighted number with the white one. You have to do this three times. To do this set this switch to x3.
Now press the switch to the right of the numbers and match the first number. Once you have the first number, it will turn green and switch to the next number. Set the x3 Switch to x1 and match the second number. For the third number set the switch with the 0-15 above to this. It has to point to the 15.
Now set the yellow number to 000 first, then the x1 switch to x4, then set the number to 119, and now set the 0-15 switch till you match the third number. This will unlock Not Breathing.
You can now pick up the “Closet – Surgery” key in front of the machine.
Now open the closet in the Surgery with this key and pick up the photo and the “Basement” key.
Eddie will come into the Surgery, you have to run past him and hide somewhere. Once he loses you, head into the basement where the fusebox is. You can now open the door near it.
Pick up the fuse on the left side.
Now go to the fuse box and place the fuses like this.
Go to the entrance of the reception and place the water faucet.
Now go upstairs and then turn right and go to the end of the corridor to the bathroom. To open it enter the code 2839 to the padlock. This unlocks The Last Bath.
Inside the bathroom pick up the fuse from the locker.
Then pick up the water faucet from behind the wheelchair.
Get out of the bathroom and turn right. In the back left side of the corridor place the last water faucet.
Now go back to the basement and place the fuses like this.
Go back to the bathroom and interact with the electric box. Interact within once more, then turn around and pick up the chess piece from the bathtub.
Get out of the bathroom, go downstairs, then turn right, and at the end of the corridor to the right open the Director’s office.
Inside the office, pick up the Reptiles book from the left side.
Then pick up the Rusty key from the desk.
Go back downstairs into the basement, you can now open the gate which unlocks The Truth.
Inside the cell, pick up the Fuse and the Pliers on the left side.
Then the Insects book in front of the bed.
And last but not least the photo from the bed.
Now go to the Fusebox and place the fuses like this to unlock Sparks.
Then place the fuses like this and head back to the Director’s office. Now interact with the books.
Pick up the Plants book first. Then place the books in this order: Plants, Insects, Amphibians, Reptiles and Mammals.
A safe to your left will open, interact with it, and enter the following combination: 4547. This will unlock The Safe. Pick up the Front Door key from the safe.
Now go to the front door, it is opposite the Reception.
Interact with it to cut the chain, then interact with it again to open the door and trigger a cutscene. This will unlock Eddie & Checkmate (if you played on Scholar’s Mate). Congrats on finishing Scholar’s Mate!

The Chair trophy won’t pop for me on PS5 version (haven’t tried PS4 version yet). I’ve tried it on both medium and hard difficulties over 2 playthroughs and it won’t pop. Any suggestions?
I did make a backup save at that point so when I finish on scholars mate difficulty, I can download that backup save and attempt that trophy again when a fix or patch has been released.
