Objectives:
- Inquire about the bandit gang
- Locate the Coral Snakes’ hideout
- Pursue the bandit
- Storm the Coral Snakes’ hideout
Starting Location: Mercy among Thieves
After passing through the border gate at the Checkpoint Rest Town. You’ll need to do two actions to start this quest. First, go past the inn to a tent with a boy standing out front and give him food twice.
Next, go speak with the two men standing opposite the Oxcart Station.
Inquire about the bandit gang
The men tell you to speak with Lyssandro, who is the man in white robes standing nearby.
Locate the Coral Snakes’ hideout
He wants your help locating their hideout. You won’t have an objective immediately, but you can speak to people walking along the road, and one of them should point out the location of an Oxcart raid that occurred directly on the main road.
Pursue the bandit
When you arrive at the location, you will see several enemies running away. Follow them nearby to the southwest into the tunnel area, all the way to the end of the path furthest west.
Fight the two men at the gate, then follow the path into the hideout. The running bandit will break the closer rope bridge leading across, but you can go farther down the area for another bridge, or climb the ladders through the middle area.
Storm the Coral Snakes’ hideout
Keep following the linear path until you reach an area where the soldiers you spoke to at the start of the quest will join you. Here in this open area you have the option to fight the enemies as you go, or try chasing after the fleeing bandit without directly attacking people. When you reach the end of the cavern the leader will escape, leaving Hugo behind which completes the quest.
This finishes the Mercy among Thieves side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2.
