A Game of Wits is a side quest in Dragon’s Dogma 2. This walkthrough will guide you through all objectives of the A Game of Wits side mission.

- Quest Description: You have encountered the legendary sphinx, a beast of intellect who seeks to pit its riddles against sage and warrior alike. How will you fare against it?

Starting Location: A Game of Wits
To start this quest you first need to reach the Mountain Shrine where the Sphinx is located. This can be done any time you can travel north of the Checkpoint Border Town, but the area leading to the Mountain Shrine contains a bunch of strong enemies, so this is better left until later in the game. The general path follows all paths leading north from the Checkpoint Rest Town until you reach the Ancient Battleground, which is technically a dungeon but is the large open field that causes a break in the path, with a large section of castle rubble directly to the north. Follow the path into the castle, then continuing north you will reach a cave called Worldsend Cavern. Follow the linear path from there until you reach the Shrine Corridor location, which has the Mountain Shrine directly on the other side up the stairs, with the Sphinx waiting at the top.
Answer the sphinx’s riddles
For this side quest you must complete all 10 of the Sphinx’s Riddles. Refer to the detailed Riddle Guide: Dragon’s Dogma 2 All Sphinx Riddle Solutions. The quest will finish after solving all 10 riddles and then defeating the Sphinx.
